What have you done to your car today?

Gonna slap one of these in my car, shortly.

I won't have the RS4 badging (leaving blank), and I'm adding the larger OEM silver finished paddle shifters, aswell. my current ones are small and are hard to see/grip.

Had a momentary swap for a Commodore SV6 Sportwagon.

Despite the people that drive them and their size which makes them nowhere near as fun in corners as the Rex...I still feel sad that Holden is leaving us. Great cruising car, the Commodore is. Supremely comfortable, the wagon looks pretty badass too, and it's pretty smooth on the road.

I have a flat tire on my car.

I replaced the flat with the spare tire today. I will be taking the flat to the tire store to see if I can get it fixed tomorrow. I'll also be taking the car in for an Inspection I (includes valve adjustment) on Tuesday morning.

Just installed new fog lights as I couldn't even tell when my old ones were on...

Next up saving for a set of true duals to let her purr :sly:

I dig the lights :)

My big Christmas present was a new alternator for my van, and if I return the core ill have enough for the serpentine and it'll be back on the road. Though I'm sketched out driving in snow with bald tires :/

Parts should be here by Friday. Ive got to go work on my friends sled an finish it up Saturday, so hopefully Sunday I will be able to do it.

Don't drive in the snow on bald tires. Consider your van still broken down if you have to do that. You could really hurt yourself, or worse someone else. Plus, if the van's wrecked you wasted all that money on the alternator and time installing the serpentine! Not trying to be the fun police, I'd just hate for something bad to happen.

I don't really have a choice. It's either I drive, or I get fired (when I get a job here pretty soon). Not really an option at this point and I'm on the edge of getting kicked out with no income. I have 0 income and I have to pay for everything. Using someones else's car is out of the question. I've got a tank of gas in it to get me started, that's it. Not happening.

The van isn't wrecked. It's in great shape, runs good, interior is like new, and I just replaced about 3/4's of the entire braking system a tad over a year ago that hardly has any use on it.

I understand. And sorry, I didn't mean to indicate that your van was wrecked. I meant if you wreck it in the snow. I should have specified.

All good man.

I totally understand where you are coming from though, and trust me, if I could avoid it, I definitely would. But right now, it's just not in the cards for me.

Took out the A/C pump and put a shorter drive belt in on mom's car. The pump itself seems to be in good condition but the clutch assembly was making such noises many dubstep producers and jet engine designers would be jealous of.

Accumulated all the parts need to deal with the radiator (new radiator, hoses, thermostat, coolant). The stars are there to block out personal information. :P

I put a fire extinguisher in mine. Because race car.

Also, after having my new front splitter sitting in my room for a month, I've finally found the motivation to order some adhesive for it, so hopefully it should be on soon.

Worked on Dori over the weekend ...
  • replace brake switches
  • flushed front brake fluid (was replaced with standard DOT3 when the switch failed and it all leaked out) with ATE Super Blue
  • Bled brakes
  • Replaced plunger on hydraulic parking brake
  • replaced header gaskets with copper versions (three were blown out)
  • replaced header nuts for clearance (mains are so big standard hex won't clear properly)
  • replaced cork valve cover gasket with rubber
  • replaced valve cover bolt seals
  • retorqued one head (only had time for one)
  • removed, cleaned and replaced seals on pushrod tubes (one side)
  • set valve lash (one side)
Also helped my friend with a exhaust manifold and turbo outlet install on his SR20 240.

White tire paint makes you faster doesn't it? Fitted Some studded winter tires to some old steel wheels for some ice "racing/trackday" tomorrow.

Just finished an exhausting wash and detail on the STI. Took longer than I wanted but less time than expected... It really needed it too.
Now I've got 2 door dings in the side body molding I need to touch up. :banghead:
Thank god I got the optional side body molding, these two make a total of 6 door dings that were avoided and instead of getting them in metal they went into plastic molding.
Probably the best option I got on the car. 👍

Had a 5 minute alternator change turn into an 1hr 45 minute altercation. Having about 2 inches of spaces that is incredibly crowded By hoses and steel parts and pulling something heavy out that gets stuck on its own mount while needing to to remove a bracket off the intake and having almost no slack in the electric lines to allow me to turn it for better access .....I HATE NEW VEHICLES

Few things going on, project 850 mini is nearly complete on the underside with regards to welding most of the floorpan and boot and rear seat base. Haven't touched for a while as my other mini is having rear seat welding done to a deadline before the first show of the year-which I was hoping would be a Goodwood Breakfast Club but they've reduced the themes even more this year and there isn't one it can enter now :guilty: Next got some banded steels for the daily, changed the tyres first though...they had 195/45 on 9 inch wheels!

New audio equipment!
Pair of Alpine SPS-517 5X7 230W for the front.

Alpine CDE-110 Deck

Entry level stuff, but I have to get started somewhere.
Plus USB ability, which is huge for me.

Friend helped me put everything in, so happy with the way it sounds.

I really like how the deck fits too, plus the extra space below it.

Bit of an update to the C6. On the 24th she's getting sent to a local Corvette shop for a few things...

So, a custom grind cam, Lingenfelter 2 step launch control and Brian Tooley trunion kit.

With the pre existing mods the car has. I'm aiming for a little over 500hp at the crank!! Can't wait for the final product!
