It is from a social context, but not as a song itself.

For instance, I've grown tired of Never Gonna Give You Up because of RickRolling videos... but I liked it before Rick Rolling ever got big.

I know this has probably been mentioned like a thousand times, but any Justin Bieber crap 👎

Seriously, at the gym on the radio, it's on all day :ouch:

Did you type that in a hipster voice?

I like it, too. I don't get rick-rolled very often but I got a liking to it ever since I first saw it, which was like a year ago.

On the news, there was one video summarizing Black Friday, by copying Friday by Rebecca Black's melody and tone but applying their own lyrics. It was terrible, but the video itself was surprising.

I go to an Art & Design School.... I've been trained to think at a broader spectrum after my Experience Designs course.. Leave me alone :P

Hipsters are too mainstream for me. I was a hipster before it was cool. ;)

anything in the last metallica album

Even being the big metallica fan that I am, I have to agree that Lulu blows.

Metallica= :D

Metallica + Lou Reed= :yuck:

anything from Rebecka Black is what I would call the worst song ever

Pretty much most modern stuff makes me want to go on a killing spree lol. I suppose I'm a bit like Bill Hicks when it comes to music. If you've ever seen Sane Man or Relentless you'll know what I mean lol

You know, I think I'd rather listen to every song listed in this thread than the new one from Nickleback. I think it's called When We Stand Together (How Awesome Are We For Having A Social Conscience?).

The only new Nickelback song I like is Bottoms Up. That was pretty good but yes this one you speak of is meh.

"He Hit Me (And It Felt Like a Kiss)", lyrics by Carole King, production by Phil Spector.

Respectfully submitted,
Steve

I think I've found the very worst song of all time.

It's called F.U.R.B., but I won't link to it because it's super-explicit.

Back in 2003, there was a song called **** It (I Don't Want You Back) by Eamon. It was your typical bitter break-up song, but it was notable because it set a new world record for the most expletives (thirty-three) in a song that reached the number one spot on domestic charts.

A few months later, an "answer song" called F.U.R.B. (**** You Right Back) was released by a nobody called Frankee, who claimed to be the subject of I Don't Want You Back. I would advise that you don't go looking for it. It starts out with a fairly clean pop intro, but it's got some of the most disgusting and explicit lyrics I've ever heard (and I managed to sit through the video to QOTSA's Sick, Sick, Sick ...). The song was little more than a marketing ploy to get sales for Frankee, who has never released a single since.

This.

Or this.
Made in Mexico - Yes We Can

I would include Soulja Boy's Tell 'em, but that isn't a song, music, and shouldn't even be mentioned in the same sentence as those words.
