Borat 6/10 - Well, I finally saw it... and part of me wishes I hadn't. I've liked Ali G but not really this character. I'm still amazed at how he's able to interview some people. I didn't see the humor everyone has been talking about but my friend and I were a bit... "horrified" in some scenes. :dopey:

I've been recommended to watch the Girl Next Door a few times. I should rent it.

Elisha Cuthbert definitely makes that movie what it is but yeah other than that it is predictable. lol

Over the weekend I watched Outlaw with Sean Bean and Bob Hoskins and Danny Dyer ... Pretty good movie and worth a watch if you wanna see a gritty vigilante style English gangster movie 👍 8/10

Also watched 88 minutes with Al Pacino .. not his best movie thats for sure but it has good moments and plenty of twists 👍 without Al Pacino this movie would be a 6/10 but he carries it off with his usual brilliance so I give it an 8/10 👍

Both are worth a look anyway

Unknown - A strange cross between Saw, Momento & D-Tox. But not as good as the 1st 2 there. It's good, but just not very well made, zero tention. But there is a good twist.
6/10

Mr Beans Holiday 9/10
Funny..... and funny just a pleasure to watch :)
Its a recommended watch from me...

DareDevil - 8/10 I've seen it before but I decided to see it again and it's still a great movie even though I'm not a Ben Affack fan. Still opens my senses to how blind one really can be or how much we take our senses for granted.

Yellowbeard - Like pirate movies? Like mid '80s comedies? Like mid '80s pirate movie comedies? If you said yes to any or all of these, then this movie is for you! But... only if you like bad movies.

Yep. It stunk. But, it had to some moments that warranted a few chuckles. You never know, you just might like it. But, I didn't.

5/10

Funny moment:

Little Girl: "Can I have 3 pence for some ****?"

Stupid Man: "No."

Little Girl: *Throws **** in Stupid Man's face.*

Mr. Bean's Holiday - 7.5/10 - After nearly a decade, Rowan Atkinson's awkward and nearly wordless alter ego, Mr Bean, is back again with his second movie. This time he is off to the French Riviera but his trip doesn't go as smoothly as he had originally hoped...

Verdict- I thoroughly enjoyed it- Typical slap-stick humour that heavily relies on the actor to deliver a humorous cinema experience, and this is largely helped if Mr Bean is the star character. It must be noted that towards the ending there is a brilliant feat Mr Bean performs, but it is let down by an abrupt and [citation needed] closing. Overall though, the frequent
twists & turns in the plot Mr Bean must quickly adapt to together with Atkinson's brilliant acting adds up to another successful and very entertaining Bean movie.

Hostel - Thought exactly the same this time as i did the first time. Good, but nothing special. The torture scenes were done much better in the Saw movies, and it is extremley gratuitous. But its perfectly watchable silly horror.
6/10

Casino Royale - 7/10 Lets review... Hot chicks +, Not a Daniel Craig fan and this didn't help -, Using a Mondeo more than a DB9 and crashing the DB9 -, Pretty good actions scenes for a bond movie +. I guess over all it evens out.

The Messangers - the most horror-by-numbers ever. But somehow it works quite well, and im pretty sure it'l make you jump at some point. They certainly tried hard enough. I think the misses jumped like 10 times!
6/10

Blood Diamond - 6/10 It's slow but when it's not it's gorey and not in a good way. I thought Leo was bad in the Titanic... Jennifer Connelly is the only "good" thing about this movie.

Oh, c'mon, putting it against a 007 flick for wrecking his sports car is like putting down the Rocky movies because he yells "ADRIAAAN!!".

It's just going to happen at some point in the movie. It's customary, and to be expected.

Animal House - 9/10 Been a while since I saw it but what can I say, it's an American Classic. Won't ever and has never been a movie to capture "college" ever. So many funny moments. Will always be a great movie.

What!? No 10/10!?

D-Day: War's over, man. Wormer dropped the big one.
Bluto: Over? Did you say "over"? Nothing is over until we decide it is! Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor? Hell no!
Otter: Germans?
Boon: Forget it, he's rolling.

Alpha Dog - I was suprised at how good this was. I was also suprised Justin Timberlake was good! I didn't really buy him being all sweary like that, but he proved he could act in the scene near the end. Very good.
8/10

Flushed Away - 9/10 Saw it at a family gathering and... OMG,the puns, the adult oriented jokes. This movie I knew would be good but surpassed expectations. This type of movie is why I love animated films over "regular" movies. You can't lose most of the time.

What!? No 10/10!?
I was thinking about it. I guess I could make it a 10.

Well been watching the Star Wars Movies from start to finish.

Ep I: Pretty poor defiantly not a great movie, but a regular kind of film 5/10
Ep II: Again like the first nothing worth shouting about 5/10
Ep III: Allot better than the first two, but dodgy script and naff acting from NP let it down. 7/10
Ep IV: Great film loved it, and it follows on from Ep III quite well. 8/10
Ep V: This is an excellent film not the best sci-fi film but defiantly up with them. 9/10
Ep VI: Haven't got around to watching this yet, maybe tonight but I cant wait to finish the saga. predicted 8/10

I kind of liked the Episode I. The comeback of the Star Wars, I'll never forget. I never got to see the original Star Wars in the theaters, so I didn't mind standing in the super long lines for that one. It was kind of cool, infact. Maybe that's why I liked the film little more than I should have.

Episode IV-VI, I'd have given perfect scores. For the type(s) of films they were, also considering the decade they were released in, they were amazing films. Not criticizing your scores, just my take on it, Sprite. :D

not to worry ;) I actually watched Ep VI last night and I would have given it the score I did. TBH im not a huge fan of Star Wars, I prefer movies with more thinking involved and a bit more grown up, they are good films and I respect the film maker Lucas for his vision of the tale, but they seem to rely too much on the easy things than a more mature way of dealing, maybe thats the charm of the films but I would rarther watch Alien and films of that Ilk than this. If I was to base these films soley on the SFX acheivments and visual merit then yes they would have got the 10/10 mark.

Star Wars never appealed to me. I remember a few years ago when episode I was being released, episodes IV, V and VI were being aired on the cable tv at once. I thought about watching all of them, but in the middle of episode V I was too bored to continue watching.

So I still have half of the episode V to watch, plus episodes VI, I, II and III. :D

On the original Star Wars, it helps if you followed the series since you were younger. For me, it's like going back to the comic books or TV shows I liked when I was a kid. It certainly isn't as kiddy as A-Team, or Power Rangers(series' been around since the 70's in Japan, under different names), but I need to reset my mentality, perspective, before I pop those Star Wars DVDs in the player.

Hils Have Eyes II - i preffered this over the original and the remake (i found both of them to be cack). Had some good moments that were pretty gross & "ouch" moments

6/10

Here are the last two movies my wife and I rented from Netflix. (SPOILERS)

Supernova: (3/10) RUNAWAY! RUNAWAY! OK, so I had never seen it and was just surfing through the sci-fi stuff and threw it into my Q months ago. I wish I hadn't. It attempted to create suspense and thrills from the beginning, but I didn't care. By the time the movie was finished I was trying to figure out whay I cared. Some dude with an object comes on their ship and he starts acting crazy and has special powers. We find out that the object is ninth dimensional, could simultaneously destroy the entire universe while recreating the basic molecules required for the universe to exist. Basically, a Big Bang restart. And back to the guy with the crazy powers he somehow got from the device and we forget the device exists. So, they took a movie that, despite the bad acting and writing, could have had a compelling story, but no. It's all about the crazy guy killing people. Then, all in the same motion we stop both the guy and the device and go home. Judging by the alternate ending I have a feeling the movie got rewritten over and over until the psycho guy was the problem, and not the device. The alternate ending had a completely different focus.

The Lake House: (6/10) Maybe I am slightly biased because romance movies just don't do anything for me. That is strike one. Strike two was that 30 minutes in I figured out the twist (and I don't mean the time teleporting mailbox). It was something I figured when I first heard the plot, but I knew it for sure when I first saw the plaza scene. I bet everyone here can figure out what kind of twist you would have if you communicate through time to someone in the past, fall in love, and then try to find where they are today. My wife had already seen it and I asked her to confirm my thoughts, with the intent of being able to stop watching, and she said, "You'll just have to see." I should have said I didn't need to, but I sat there and watched the rest of this forced romance. I'll give Keanu and Sandra credit, they have some sort of chemistry from working together a lot, but neither can act as anyone but themselves. It's a fine movie for a date or to get your significant other to snuggle up with you and think you have a sensitive side, otherwise I would suggest getting some annoying chores out of your way. You'll enjoy it better.
