Man of the House - (3/10)
This was my wife's selection and it was bad beyond words. What has happened to Tommy Lee Jones? He plays a good assassin, cop, marshall, and terrorist, but he is not a comedic actor. The only parts where he actually seemed to be acting were when he went on a date. The rest of the movie was him playing the same grumpy old guy he always plays. Then at first you don't know who the killer is, but I guessed it. And then it wasn't such a mystery when they reveal him ten minutes later and show everything he's doing.

The only reason for anyone to see this movie is if you are a guy and you can ignore everything but the five college cheerleaders who constantly dress in skimpy clothing just to get on Tommy Lee Jones' nerves.

OMG, how could i forget the Blade films. I love them, well except Trinity, its ok as a stand alone film, but as a Blade film it kind of sucked.
Oh-my-god, we actually agree 100% for once. Hurry, somebody call the newspaper, or hide under the desks or something! :D

The Eiger Sanction - 9/10 Great spy flick, involving a man who needs and wants to hunt down two killers of a fellow spy and friend. It's not the most intelligent movie out there; it's rather simple. But, it has a fun sense of humor along with the classic spy thriller of the late sixties early seventies. This movie from 1975 escaped me all this time, and I'm glad I finally got to watch it.

It stars 'Dirty Harry' as a college art professor and former 'wet works' man for a secret American government agency. His life as a spy and killer are over, but is forced back into it. He must find two killers and eliminate them. One eludes him and he must find out the identity of the second killer an kill him while on a mountain climb on the Eiger. It's not perfect, but I liked it a lot.

Rush Hour 3 - 9/10 - All I can say is it was hilarious and it does not dissapoint! A great third installment to Rush Hour. 👍

Nightfall - (5/10)
This based off the Isaac Asimov story. Sadly so many things were changed in order to stretch it into an hour and a half movie that it is almost unwatchable. David Carradine cannot save this. Pitch Black was a much better ripoff.

Charlotte's Web - (7.5/10)
This was a fun and good movie. Kids will love it and adults will enjoy it. I enjoyed teh animated version as a kid much better than thsi as an adult, but this felt too much like I was watching Babe with a completely unrealistic looking spider. While Charlotee has eight eyes two of them are large with irises and pupils and the other six just look like dots. Another thing was that as a kid I always pictured Charlotte as a writing spider (black and yellow with zig-zag patterns across their webs) and not the usual brown ugly things I step on regularly. That may have had part to do with what I couldn't get into.

Transformers - 6/10 Yeah yeah, I know what!? a 6? Well, I'm being generous. This wasn't a transformers movie I'll put it that way. Yeah so they had some of the voices and some of the things from the cartoon but in the end they made this so flashy ohhh and ahhh because of the transforming and how MUCH of it takes place at one time.

The only reason I can give this a betterish rating is obviously because I'm a sucker for Brunettes :dopey: and the sounds that were impressive. Everything else, was not all that. Sam is especially a negitive for this and any other movie because that kid is so damn ANNOYING.

Army of Darkness - 9.75/10 Pure, unadulterated win. Having seen the first two Evil Dead movies, I came into this with high hopes, and it smashed them into tiny little pieces. The physical comedy of this movie is hilarious, and Bruce Campell was perfect. The scene with the three Necronomicons is hilarious and clever, as was the two stooges-like scene; and the ending was pure bad-assery (whether it was the original ending or not was irrelevant). Highly recommended to any and everyone, regardless of if you have seen any of the other movies.

House of Flying Daggers - 7/10 If this doesn't illustrate why things in 3 are bad I don't know what does. :dopey: The part where Meg is "looking" over the the guy and says "I like to start from the bottom" is great. The fact that it made an already depressing day that much more depressing made it get a lower rating. :grumpy:

We're giving movies marks now? Okaaaay...
I watched X-Men 3 on Blu-ray. Er..7/10
I'm not going to say much (it's late), it didn't look too bad but there was too much conveiniant coincidence in the film like magneto bumping into a mutant that could "sense" other mutants. And I don't get then ending. I mean, Magneto is injected with the anti-mutant serum stuff but when Wolverine faces Pheonix/Jean Grey he kills her. Why not inject her with the serum too? The only reason I can think why not is because it would'nt have had such a "dramatic" end. Personally I thought it was just silly.
Oh, I watched Conan the Barbarian too. 8/10. Shows it's age and it's a bit rough but some memorable lines and a great soundtrack. Interesting fact; Conan only says 5 words to Valeria, who shares many scenes with him, and all in the first 30 seconds of their meeting - "You're not a guard" and "No". I don't think Arnie was supposed to talk much in the film.

The Contracter - STV Wesley Snipes film. I have always really liked Wes and i find it seriously unfair he has been resigned do the STV basement of Seagal & Van Damme (& Now Cuba Gooding Jr). However like most of his STV films (IMO) this one is pretty good. In fact out of all of them he has only had one duff one (The Marksman).
7/10

Surfs up - A typical animation of recent years, funny ish. The kids in front of me loved it, in fact i dont think they'd ever seen another film before, there laughter was so OTT.
6/10

Was house of flying daggers depressing?? I don't remember it being depressing. OK it dosen't have a hollywood ending, but that dosen't make it depressing.

Taxi 2/10 I really only wanted to see it because of the cab which wasn't even that great. :indiff: But the driving kicked F&F in the nads. Anyway, I hate Jimmy Fallon even more... I'm not a Gisele Bündchen fan at all but she helped a little lets put it that way. Jennifer Esposito is ok.

I Me Wed 7/10 I'm an Erica Durance fan so it's the only reason I watched it I guess. :indiff: I like how they touched on the whole marriage thing a bit though.

Mars Attack! 8/10 I remember when I went to see this in the theater, so friggin hilarious.

The Recruit 9/10 It was good back then and it's still good now. Bridget Moynahan is a plus too. :D

Le Mans - 10/10 The 1971 classic staring Steve McQueen. First time ever available in HD. Fantastic. Circuit de la Sarthe looked totally different back then.

Stardust (7.5/10)
I was pleasently surprised. It was a fun fantasy in the vein of The Princess Bride. If you enjoyed that you will enjoy Stardust. The only thing really missing is Peter Faulk reading the story to Fred Savage. Witches, "woopsy" pirates, princesses, a ghost peanut gallery watching and commenting without ever being seen by the characters. It was all good fun. I knocked off a half point for predictability, as I knew the ending about ten minutes in.

there was too much conveiniant coincidence in the film like magneto bumping into a mutant that could "sense" other mutants.
Well, he did call them all together for a meeting. It was bound to produce a result of that nature. It may have even been what he hoped for. You make it sound like he just ran across her in the street.

And I don't get then ending. I mean, Magneto is injected with the anti-mutant serum stuff but when Wolverine faces Pheonix/Jean Grey he kills her. Why not inject her with the serum too?
Um, did you miss when she disentigrated some needles? Only Wolverine's healing ability and admantium could stand up to her force, meaning it had to be claws. Had he carried a syringe with him it would have been destroyed before he got there. This dumbs down her abilities from comic lore of course (she destroyed a planet), but it fit the story.

X3 had many other problems beyond this.

I saw 'Dude Wheres My Car' yesterday, it was pretty rubbish, waste of an hour and a bit. The only bit that made me laugh was the 'and theennn...' bit
5/10

The last movie I saw was the Aqua Teen Hunger Force Movie. I paid $3.99 On Demand for it.

I very nearly turned it off after the intro, because at that point, I had already gotten my money's worth, and had laughed hard enough to risk suffocation. Quite possibly the funniest thing I have ever seen.

Oh yeah, The movie was pretty funny, too :)👍

Kickin It Old Skool 5/10 If the name isn't enough to tell how bad this movie is then the fact that Jamie Kennedy is in it should... I saw it at a friend's house and well lets just say I'm glad I didn't pay anything to see it. There were a couple ok things. Maria Menounos was in it. (I'm a sucker for this chick even though she's an air head. :indiff: ) Bobby Lee needs to do more stuff, that guy is classic!

Alan Ruck
****, I'm still paying for that damn Ferrari.

Bobby Lee is awesome. Some of the MAD TV casts are just plain hilairous. 👍

I finally saw Romancing the Stone. Not impressed. Took me nearly a month to find a rental, so maybe my expectation was too high, I don't know. Jokes were lame, action scenes were mostly lame, plot I thought sucked. And for some reason, I can't stand Kathleen Turner. "C-"

The Edge - Third time I've seen it, I think. Good outdoor, survival movie. Anthony Hopkins and Alec Baldwin gets chased through the wilderness by a maneating bear, that just ate Michael from "Lost". I still love this movie. :B+"

Wrong Turn - (5/10)
Wife wass out of town this weekend so I watched a couple of "scary" movies. All I can say positive about Wrong Turn is that Eliza Dushku is still hot. Bad acting, bad story, bad everything. It was too cliche. How many horror films can begin with a group of college-aged kids getting stuck in the middle of nowhere, only to find out it was a plot by psychopaths? This was basically Texas Chanisaw Massacre, minus the chainsaw.

Snakes on a Plane - (7/10)
OK, this was definitely different. Good thing they realized it was campy or this would have been much worse than watchable. If anyone goes in thinking for a second that it might be serious it all goes out the window when you realize that the co-pilot is played by David Koechner, of Anchorman fame (Champ Kind), and is a sexual harrassment lawsuit waiting to happen. At least he didn't ask one of the little kids if they had ever seen a grown man naked. :nervous:

I just watched Cannonball Run 2...... Really funny. :)

I love the Cannonball Run movies, even though so many people hate them. This one has Jackie Chan in it, does it not?

Haven't seen them in a couple years. I'm sure the boys will love them.

We have it recorded on our HD DVR, but haven't watched it yet. You think it's safe for kids? I ask because I usually review new movies first, then show them to my kids.

Outlaw - A great film, worth a watch...and a good view of what might just end up happening if the government don't pull it's finger out of it's arse (Mr Brown...watch this movie!). Some very good acting by Sean Bean, Bob Hoskins and of course Danny Dyer, who gets to have the last laugh of the movie - 8.5/10

The Number 23 - Jim Carrey's second serious role, and he played it fantastically, couldn't even get up to pee watching this one and it had quite the ending to it. - 10/10

X - An anime movie based on the CLAMP tv series of the same name, needs a second watch to quite understand it but it is one of the better ones. It's prompted me to buy the tv series boxset on dvd. Tear jerker of an ending if you're a softy like me too, great end track (Forever Love by X Japan) - 8/10

Redline - 0/10 Don't get me started. It's just not going to happen. I ain't giving this movie squat and I'm not even 10 min. into the movie...

It's not even worth the legal d/l

This is soooooo far from kid safe. There is nudity, sex, violence, blood, nasty looking snake bites, and Samuel L Jackson using his favorite compound word.
