Menace II Society - A good movie, bit dated, predictable ending and quite similar to Boyz N the Hood but still a good movie. Makes me want to play San Andreas again.
8/10

1408 - im one of the hardest people in the world to scare with films. While this didnt scare me, i did find it frequently creepy. I think it was mainly because my dreams can literally be as "vivid" as his. This could've been utter crap, but giving it to a brilliant actor like John Cusack was a good idea.
7/10

Black Snake Moan - Good, this movie absolutely flew past. christina Ricci is amazing(ly hot!) and Sam Jackson is great. Timberlake was alright, but i just dont buy it when he swears and tries to be angry.
7/10

555, I hope you didn't just give away the ending to 1408. I've been waiting to see that one. :guilty:

Mission Impossible III: Don't see this movie, please. I did it for you. Don't help that Scientology-loving idiot out by watching this thing. Pre-Scientology, say MI:2, it was a lot better. This one? Not so much. Sure, Church is a wonderful actor (as a matter of fact, he could act circles around Cruise), but one guy isn't going to save the movie.

2/10: One point for Church, one point for JJ Abrams. Otherwise, Crusie sucks the life out of it...

Pluto Nash - 5/10 Meh. OK, but nothing special. It was in HD, so I watched it. It had a surprise ending that was a total rip off and lame, though. It was a sci-fi movie about life on the moon, which is a pretty cool subject so it got an extra point for that.

My Super Ex-Girlfriend - 4/10 What's worse than seeing a movie with a whiny, insecure control-freak, obnoxious woman than seeing a movie with a whiny, insecure control-freak, obnoxious woman with Luke Wilson. The great white shark was the coolest part because I wanted it to eat Luke Wilson.

Isn't Eddie Murphy in Pluto Nash? If so... uh... what did you expect. Again for My super ex-girlfriend, didn't the title itself tip you off? :dopey:

Oh forgot this one a little while back..

Norbit - 2/10 - To be honest I expected better from Eddie Murphy, oh well. Basically not funny at all. 👎

Ghost Rider- A seriously poor film. It was just so uninvolving, the special effects weren't brilliant, the acting was below par. It's the first time I'ver ever started doing my ironing while watching a film.

2/10.

A Clockwork Orange: 9/10. This was surprisingly good. The sex and violence were a bit disturbing but I liked the overall storyline and the twists and turns.

Transformers: 8/10. Good movie, some nice action sequences. Plus that girl was bomb.

The Fast and the Furious 3: Tokyo Drift: 3/10. I seriously had expected something a lot worse than what it actually was. Still a pretty poor movie, but better than what I bargined for. At least it's slightly better than 2 Fast 2 Furious.

Strangers With Candy: Okay, if you don't remember the show, you;

A) Probably never heard of this movie
B) Probably wouldn't like the movie
C) Probably wouldn't get all the jokes in the movie

That being said, its a Colbert film, so if you like his stuff, you'll probably have a few chuckles. I being someone who loved the TV show, loved the movie obviously. Odd, subtle jokes are what make it a stellar way to spend an hour and a half, and you're in a steady chuckle the whole way through.

The best part? The awkward character that Sarah Jessica Parker plays. Having her clothing line at our store probably makes it a bit more odd for me, but the whole "I find your legs unoffensive" thing was quite funny.

...And Colbert is a riot. Like you didn't know...

Otherwise, Principal Blackman (played by a black-guy, ha ha) is just awesome.

9/10

Strangers With Candy
I gotta rent this one. I saw the star actress on a talkshow promoting this movie, while back. The clip they showed was hilarious. The actress(don't know the name) was super funny as well. I'll check it out.

The Black Dahlia: (3/10)
Pass this one up. The ads made it seem much more interesting than it was. Instead it was boring. Every female character acted like they were Katharine Hepburn. Is that the only female from that time they had to base their research on? Not even Scarlett Johansen getting freaky on a kitchen table (you don't see anything) could save this one.

Tenacious D - The Pick of Destiny: 2/10

Ranks down there with the all time worsts movies I've seen. It had a few funny moments, which is why I gave it 2 points. The movie seriously stunk, but it wasn't so bad that I turned it off - which means I have to rank this movie ahead of Napoleon Dynamite.

(Shhhhh.... The guy who wrote Jumanji wrote Zathura. The Polar Express was written by him as well, not to mention a bunch of artwork he has done for other books. Chris Van Allsburg is actually from my home-town, and I've met him several times...)

We watched the latest Harry Potter movie at the theatre last night. This one was the best so far in my opinion.

The Professional 10/10 I love this movie. I've seen if before several times. But, not in HD, I don't think. Fantastic movie. A true classic.

You're kidding me. You could actually sit through 90 minutes of Tenacious D, but you turned off Napoleon Dynamite? How could you?

Jack Black isn't at the bottom of my list for unfunny comedians, but he's down there. He's only marginally funny in very small doses.

Napoleon Dynamite, on the other hand, was hilarious from start to finish. Even the deleted scenes were funny, though it was clear why they were deleted.

Napoleon Dynamite, funny? I found more comedy in Pulp Fiction, N. Dynamite sucked so much.

In fact, I just watched Pulp Fiction, which is still pretty good movie to me if you ignore the "no-plot" base of it.

But I thank god Jon Heder has moved on to better and funnier roles.

I'm no fan of Jack Black, but he is alright, ocasionally. Napoleon Dynamite's a true love it/hate it flick, I guess. I thought it was pretty good. :P Pulp Fiction is a classic. One of those revolutionary films that changed the industry.

I just got back from:

Spiderman 3: I thought it was OK, but couple of people I went with were bored by it. It was long, plus, it had one of them slow stretches, but I already knew that going in(thanks to gtp reviewers), so that didn't bother me.

Like I said, I thought it was just OK, but it did have its' moments. Although action sequences felt like everything you've seen before, mega budget special effects are very cool, and all those "bangs" with Spidey or the bad guys getting hit in the head, they kept me awake. Only thing that bothered me was some dorky(to me) things they put in there, like Harry painting at home, or MJ's jazz singing. It was comical to me, and not in a good way. Speaking of comical, the best part of the movie was Bruce Campbell. Hilarious! I give this one a ..... "C+"

Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix - 7/10 - Definetly the least amount of action in the series but still was very good in my opinion.

A guy who lives over the road from me has a hand in the editing of a new film coming out next year, it's supposed to be similar to duel, but better as he'd have everyone believe.

Another guy I know is in LA now, he directed a film called Fakers, it didn't do much over here but it's done alright in the US for a low budget + unknown director affair.

Transformers - Basically i loved it, not the best film ever, not even the best action scenes ever. But i was just so damn entertained.
9/10

ShadowMan - another STV Seagal film, this one was actually good!
7/10

Harry Potter & the phoenix thingy - This is the 1st Harry Potter i actually liked all the way threw. The best one in my opinion. I know everyone disagrees with me.
7/10

Little Miss Sunshine - 9/10 Some parts were too silly and bit too weird. But, overall, I loved it. Great flick. Not a very complex movie; a bit too simple and predictable. The ending was awesome. I loved the sick sense of humor of Grandpa. He and I could've been friends. "Super Freak" LMAO! 👍

Live Free or Die Hard - 8/10 This is a great 4th installment of the Die Hard series I have to admit. Great non-stop action and Maggie Q is flipping hawt!

Unfortunately, apple guy was irritating and Kevin Smith as an almighty hacker? Please spare me...

edit: Oh yeah... I hope our government wouldn't be that stupid as what happen in the movie. Scary stuff yet... somehow I'm not as bothered by it as I should. I mean "disconnecting" for a while doesn't sound that bad. :dopey:
