I saw Children of Men the other night... awesome flick. Great camera movements and long shots.

I saw Tron last night. One of those "see it again for the first time" kind of flicks. Awesome movie.

EDIT: And I've just finished watching Heavenly Creatures... one of Peter Jackson's first movies. It's insanely good! ('Insane' being the functional word)

Der untergang (the downfall), very interesting historic movie, highly recomended to anyone that hasnt seen it yet.

agree completely.

I saw The Lost Boys (1987) this afternoon... I've always liked that movie.

And I've just finished watching Hundstage (2001). An Austrian movie, translated to 'Dog Days'. It's a lot like the movie 'Happiness' but with explicit sex and a less optimistic view of humanity. It's quite grotesque at times, with animal poisoning, a striptease by a senior citizen, anal candle insertions and molestation of the mentally incompetent.

If any of this sounds like too much to handle then this film isn't for you. This film shows humanity at its most desperate and pathetic. The banality of our existence is shoved in our face with utmost glee.

Good lord... There's another[\i]... Rambo coming out.

Yeah, it was announced alongside the announcement for Rocky Balboa.

I mentioned it back in the Rocky Balboa thread, but that was a while back.

If it is as good as Rocky Balboa was then this new Rambo might be worth seeing.

BTW: I think you want a forward slash /

Once Upon A Time In America - First time ever, in HD. Awesome movie about Jewish gangsters during Prohibition. 10/10

One of my favorite films. This was the unedited four hour version. I've never seen this version before, because it's too long for tapes, dvds and to broadcast.

Just finished watching This is England... recreated in 1983, and to be honest, it looks like it was filmed using 1983 technology. Very good movie.

Yeah Once Upon A Time In America is great, I wish some other good movies was aslong as that was.

I still like Once upon a time in the west though.

four..... hours! I might have to check this out sometime.... but on rental. I don't think I'd be up to putting that in my PS3 too often. :D

I just went to see I Am Legend.

I thought it was quite good, if not going along the lines of 28 Days/Weeks later. :indiff:

The shaky camera thing they inherited from the Bourne series played havic with my mate's motion sickness - he missed half the movie either with his eyes closed, his head between his legs or outside for some fresh air.

Anyway, I thought it was something different for Will, and he did alright IMO.

You mean last man alive after a breakout kind of thing?

As the book I am Legend, and the original movie Omega Man, were decades before 28 Days Later maybe we should discuss who took what from whom.

Now, whether this latest rendition took on a more zombie-like aspect to cash in on the recent zombie lovefest is a whole other question.

I just seen O Brother Where Art Thou for the first time on Sunday night. My girlfriend brought it over and said I would probably like it, and she was right I did. I guess it's supposed to be based off the Odyssey, but either it has been to long since I have read it or the movie was really loosely based off of it. Either way I still enjoyed it and the music was pretty catchy as well.

It is an awesome film, it isn't one I watch too often because of it's lenth, but I guess that just makes it more special to watch when I do. Top film though.

For me it's one of the best films ever made.(10/10)👍

The Proposition - 7/10.
The Devil Wears Prada - 6.5/10.

I just watched The Fog.

Maggie Grace is hot. 👍 But there's not much else to see here...

They start into the hardcore scary stuff too early without building up enough intrigue and suspense. And it gets worse as the movie goes along. Towards the end ghosts and ghouls are shown on screen in full 'colour', and I always think these things should be left in the shadows and to the imagination...

And the ending itself is a real WTF? inducer.

Yeah, I agree totally. It's just that those super long epic films, when I think about sittng through over three hours or whatever, I look like this - :guilty: - just sometimes. :D I'm not trying to take away anything from lengthy films.

Crank - 9/10

I'm not sure if I posted it but I love this movie the first time I saw it and I still love it just as much now! So damn hilarious too!

I've also still never seen a bad movie from Stratham. That's why I won't see his new one where he trys to be midevil. (yeah yeah sp... too hard on this touch)

Never saw Cellular. Awesome there will be a Crank 2 AND another Italian Job called "The Brazilian Job" :dopey:

Yeah, it ended the way you remembered... lol

Since Crank looked like a video game, he probably had 2 more lives(seriously old school!).

I saw some small segments of that movie the other night. It was seriously bad. I actually couldn't figure out if it was a really, really bad comedy, intentionally taking the piss, or just God awful. :yuck:
Oh, it was just bad. The SUV in the movie was a Toureg/Cayenne. I say that as in they occasionally switch it in distance shots in hopes that you do not notice. But when the luggage rack appears, disappears randomly a moderate car guy will notice. No one else in my family did until I pointed it out and told them to watch the luggage rack.

Of course the story concept that by randomly tapping wires, or whatever she did, on a shattered phone she managed to call the cell phone of a guy who actually was in the same city should have been a sign that it was a bad movie.

 Changing the cars, that's awesome.

And as for the phone wires, what about then the call crosses onto that other guys phone in the 911, so he takes that car! WTF is that about!?
