What to do with your pocket change?

  • Roll it up and bank/exchange it. A penny saved is a penny not spent on crack.

Oh. What were you driving earlier then?

I need to get one this summer to commute back and forth to college, though.
Jimmy goes to college. Nice. What're you looking to major in?

I think my local bank has a change machine that they will put all your coins through and give you cash back.

There is a cute girl there that I might ask out while I'm there. I'll take her to dinner with the cash I get from changing my coins.

I recall hearing something on the news that had to do with the US Mint asking all those who had spare change, especially pennies, to get them back into circulation.

Here ya go US Mints. Let's see who can guess closest to how much money is in my jug.

I put it all in a jar in a cabinet in my kitchen. Out of sight, out of mind. I'll cash it in usually before travelling and it can be over 50.00 in change. Some times I'll even toss a $1 bill in there. I guess it's like a piggy bank. And a nice bonus when it's there.

Thanks to debit cards, though, I have less change than I used to.

I keep small change in my desk and work, and use it to purchase the little tins of tuna and salmon I eat during the day.

All my quarters and dimes go to cigarettes (I get enough for a pack every ~2 weeks). The pennies and nickels I bring to the CoinStar machine every 2 months or so. It usually adds up to about $10, that goes towards food.

usually when i have a bit of change left from buying an energy drink (usually) i either store it back into my wallet...because you never know when you need change for a train ticket......or put it in a charity tin at the shop i bought the drink from. like at the movies(where i work) theres a guide dogs queensland tin so me change usually goes in there. but now i have a m'ms bucket so i might start putting my change in there

I only save coins 20c and up, if I dropped a 5c coin I wouldn't pick it up and Id only pick up a 10c if I needed it or there was someone/thing worth throwing it at.
