What tracks could you live WITHOUT in GT5?

Opera, New York & Seattle aren't my favourite tracks...

But in essence - the tracks I could "do without" are going to be the ones that aren't in the game!!

I, too, dislike that tiny ass track. It's only moderately entertaining in slow cars.. imo.

I guess that's why they've been racing F1's there for almost a century...:scared:

Monaco rocks for those who can rock it, it is a challenge, to overtake, to make it to 5th, even to stay in one piece.

Opera and London I could really do without, and i'd like more proper tracks to replace them (things like silverstone/donington and magny cours)

IF it meant getting more and more real tracks i'd sacrifice the majority of the "GT made tracks"

okay am i really the only person infatuated by Cote d'Azur??

Although this is subjective, Monaco's GP circuit is iconic to F1 fans and drivers since ever. So, in my opinion this would be a keeper.

I'd like to see - considering the possibility of less tracks in GT5 - only real life circuits.

All of the tracks in the world, I am not going to die because GT5 doesn't contain the tracks I want am I.:sly:

Chamonix- Absolutely gorgeous track, I just wish it wasn't a circuit.

Cathedral Rocks- See Swiss Alps

Deep Forest- Kind of boring

Autumn Ring- Ugly Fall Scenery, boring track

Citta di Aria- Just not a fun track. Too narrow in places and it's almost impossible to pass on it. If they made it a proper Targa-Style Course and not a circuit it would be fun.

:grumpy: Just some of my most favourite tracks ever! How about these instead?

Suzuka- ultra boring, dull, had enough of it in Prologue

Nürburgring Nordschleife- too long, drive similar roads everyday (as I live nearby ) , never drove more than 3 or 4 laps on GT4... I really don't see a point personally  ;)

As I may have mentioned before once or twice, I'd happily see all of the fictional circuits removed.
But the rally circuits in particular I'd be disappointed if they are included (rather than real point to point rallying).

But some of those are the best tracks?!

I won't be mad at PD if they leave the following out:
Fuji
Motegi Road Course
Clubman stage 5
Tsukuba
Test Course (for racing events)
All Rally Circuits

On the other hand, GT has so many brilliant tracks, that a couple of boring tracks won't make the difference.

I love the idea of having genuine circuits in Gran Turismo, but the reality is that i just don't really enjoy racing on those that i mentioned. Personal preferences obviously.

I've hated the 'Route 5' tracks ever since GT1. I don't enjoy many of the city circuits either, they often don't have much flow to them, (Seattle, New York, Seoul and Tokyo are exceptions) and push come to shove, i could live without the classic HSR and Grand Valley (although i love GV-East).

I'd prefer to have all of GT4's circuits (and the ones missing from GT2) as well as any new GT5 ones, but if i had to choose ones to miss, these would be the ones i'd sacrifice. :)

^^^ I gotta ask, how do you not enjoy the awesomeness that is Suzuka? I can see maybe not liking it with the lower powered cars...but The F2007 on Suzuka in GT5:P is too awesome for me to give up.

After having another think.

7 Tracks I couldn't live without

1. Circuit de la Sarthe (with chicanes)
2. Tskuba
3. Fuji 90's
4. Trial Mountain
5. Clubman Route 5
6. Deep Forest Raceway
7. Tokyo Route 246

And 7 that have to go would be

1. Paris Opera
2. The Korean Circuit
3. Citta Di'Aria
4. George V
5. Hong Kong
6. The Motegi Ring
7. Seattle Reverse

Probably others

Yes, 20 locations has me extremely worried too.

Just a couple circuits I HAVE to have:
Grand Valley Speedway
Bathurst, Mt Panorama
Le Mans
Spa

I'm interested to know why people keep saying we're only having 20 tracks in GT5? Its 20 locations... for example, Japan... has Tokyo 245, Twin Ring Motegi, Suzuka and Fuji. Thats 4 tracks from 1 location... Logic people?

Suzuka = 4 tracks as well -> east/west/normal/reverse

I'd love if that was true, but you have to work out all the fictional tracks too then I guess. I don't know where HSR is located...

BTW Japan also has tsukuba.

Hahahaahaaaahaha, Suzuka reverse? Never!

While I wish you are right and I'm wrong, I think the logic is more along the lines of this:

Location: Twin Ring Motegi | Track Variations: 4
Twin Ring Motegi - Road Course
Twin Ring Motegi - East Short Course
Twin Ring Motegi - West Short Course
Twin Ring Motegi - Super Speedway

Using this logic, has anyone worked how many 'locations' and 'track variations' there were in GT4?

There were 34 Locations in GT4 using that logic. Without the test track etc.
I haven't worked out how many variations yet.

They (PD) could remove :

- Beginner course
- Motorland (*)
- Citta di Aria
- Fuji 2005 F (i prefer the old ones)
- Autumn Ring Mini (I like the other)

LOL MODE ON
(*) i'll save it for only one race ,.... A 200 Laps with the formula GT ..no bspec , because i'm full up to have contests on this track with low powered cars ... :mischievous:
LOL MODE OFF

Humm, perhaps... I was hoping this issue would be resolved at TGS...

What is interesting though, is that in GT5P, where you can choose what track you will use, there is a little round flag next to the name at the bottom of the screen. HSR has the polyphony logo as the flag, Nordwand has the swiss flag etc. I hate to get my false hopes up but this could mean that PD did mean location as in country, and layouts as tracks.
Does somebody know how they formulated the tracklist of GT4 in a japanese press release?

Good idea 👍

SO we can check in the previous GT4 where they located
the various raceS (ItalY , france ...)with the original tracks..

I remember Italian races on the Autumn Ring !!

Just Citta di Aria, Paris I'd keep, the Fuji GT '05 should be the only Fuji on GT5 it's a good track and to me the better.
