What tracks could you live WITHOUT in GT5?

Some Touge point-to-points. Japan's answer to drag racing.

I agree with Opera Paris, as it is another track I could do without. Apricot Hill and Autumn Ring are great Gran Turismo tracks and those 2 are keepers.

I could live without London city circuit.

I think i've only raced on it like twice in GT5P

I always seem to disregard online events of 600PP or below... Thats probably why i have raced on it so little. The single player race events are usually Suzuka, Fuji, HSR and Daytona.

Wow, this is such a hard subject. I like every track there was ever in a Gran Turismo. If I had to pick one....I guess Costa d'amalfi, but I do like its challenges. Not the best experience for racing nor drifting I don't think. I may not be completely sure though. Need to drive through the courses in GT4 and GT2 again to be really sure on this.

Yep... I would love to take a GTI or an M3 on something like that in place of Hong Kong or Seoul

To my knowledge Touge style racing got its start in Japan though has gained global attention now its predominantly still Japan. Ah there fore Seoul? and Hong Kong? Wouldn't be ideal locations for Touge racing as they aren't tracks off in the mountainside instead city tarmac as well as, well their not Japanese cities, heck they're two different countries, China & Korea.

Tsukuba.
Most. Boring. Track. Ever.

Back on subject, yea dull track, simple.. yea, and probably the easier track that I have said I can deal without on GT5 or live without.

Tokyo Route
Paris both
Fuji..(all of them)
Circuit de la Sarthe
Complex string
Infenion

can't remember the rest...

:nervous: all of those tracks are awsome! Except maybe Infeneon, but the rest are great to drive on, but this is just an opinion so oh well :P

Infineon, wasn't that bad after I ran my Audi R8 there fully tuned and in a way tought myself how to deal with such a track. At one point and time it was a track I avoided.

I could live without SSR5. Would be pretty awesome if they did a daytime version of it though.

What I meant is that I could live without Hong Kong and Seoul (maybe even New York), and would much rather see some new Touge style roads in other countries with with breath-taking views. I've only ever been in the U.S. and Australia, but from those two places alone I know of some awesome locations that would be a thrill to drive in GT5. They make the city tracks I mentioned above seem rather bland in comparison.

Other than maybe the Grand Canyon in the U.S., I can't imagine any other US backdrop to make fictional Touge racing for a GT series, there just aren't to many idealistic places, though some mountainside roads out west, Hey California, would be also decent backdrops for US touge, I cant speak for Aussie, as I've never been. I get your point now though. But any touge should be in a real Japan location or a real location with a fictional road/track.

Well this isn't going to be a popular vote i don't think, especially since we know it's going to be in the game. But i don't really like Tokyo R246 much, i just think its a boring track. I can see the appeal if you are from Japan, and more so if you live in Tokyo though.

Other than this i really want to see most of the originals back in the game, like trial mountain, GV, etc to see them in all their GT5 sexy glory. And then a nice splash of classic real world tracks.

Not a big fan of Eiger from GT5P actually either.

I'm from the US capital and I love Tokyo R246, sure I do plan to visit Tokyo, but that isn't the reason behind liking the track. Its a good beginner track for newbies and a great track for the rest of us. I recently took my BMW M3 GT-R Racer there and it performed and handled well there. Tokyo R246 👍👍!

Personally, I could live without Opera Paris. I don't understand those that don't like Infineon. I actually really like the track itself, even if the landscape around it is a little bland. Not much PD can do about that since it is a real life track though. :)

Just to add the fictional tracks to the "locations" list.
According to GT2:
Trial Mountain - United Kingdom
Grand Valley - United States Of America
Midfield Raceway - Japan
Deep Forest - Germany
Tahiti Road (and presumably other Tahiti's) - France

That's what category those fictional tracks come under in GT2, but I am unaware that the locations of the rest were ever revealed. Hopefully by location Kazunori means country, because we could end up with an awful lot of tracks. The GTPSP trailer said 35 tracks, and I count 45, so we should be hopeful, right?

**Really, Mid-Field Raceway is set in Japan, I think I have to touring the track, the rest seem all plausible. Though I always felt Deep Forrest and Trail Mountain were always in the same vicinity just two different courses side by side each other never imagined them in separate countries.

Classic Fuji configurations - Having the 80's and 90's versions is really just an excuse to up the track count within the same environment. The only thing that made this cool was that the scenery and sponsors would change with every decade, so it was almost like you were racing in the past. They should definitely do this with a track that has some history. Could you imagine a classic Spa, Le Mans, or Monaco circuit from the 70s? That would be incredible. Fuji doesn't have that kind of history.

Tsukuba - I know there are a lot of people out there who like this track but I just find it short, repetitive and dull.

Seoul Central - Compared to other street circuits, Seoul is pretty uninteresting. It's practically two long straight connected by 90 degree turns on one side and a mini carousel on the other.

Ice Arena and Swiss Alps, and all Tahiti courses - None of these are bad circuits, but I would much rather have true rally stages.

Eiger Nordwand - Replace it with a graphically updated version of GT2's Grindelwald circuit and I would be happy. It's very stop-go - there are too many tight corners in quick succession and there is no area where you can really push a car to the limit (though I know a lot of people would probably disagree with that). The setting is spectacular though.

I don't enjoy driving most of the city courses on GT, even though they look incredible. Tokyo is the only one I really love, and it's in :) I'd actually be happy to see monaco excluded. I do love the concept of the city course, I just wish they weren't so tedious to drive in reality. I wonder what the Madrid street course will be like...

Autumn Ring isn't great, and I could certainly live without Fuji (UGH), Tsukuba, Highspeed Ring, Super Speedway, Complex string.

p.s. I Love El Capitan :D
