What wheel will you be using

The point is also, the bad community at Project cars on the PS4. Very unclean driving. So you can have the most expensive wheel on earth, you won't have a good time with it as log there are these jokers on the road

Thank goodness for its awesome career mode. Max difficulty, no assists, real time progression and you're good. Community TTs are also fun. Having a good setup does not imply racing the whole world, but just enjoy yourself. Within reason of course - high end stuff probably makes more sense for competitive purposes...

maybe you dont consider that people dont have 300-400€/$ to spend on a wheel after they invested the same amount for a PS4 and they still have a working DFGT...

It's one of the reasons i still have to buy a PS4...
seriously sony do you want me to throw away my G27 and my 23 PS3 games to invest 1000€ in one PS4 one wheel and 2/3 games?
i already have a PS2 near my PS3 to play my old gen fav games that i cannot put in PS3 and i dont feel the need to have 3 consoles in My living room...

So please pay some respect to people having to play on a budget cause maybe they have a family to run or a house to pay or simply not such a big budget...

As far as the old Logitech wheels go, Sony's only preventing them being used in first party titles, it's Logitech themselves not letting you use them in third party games like AC, Pcars, Dirt Rally, The Crew, Seb Loeb Rally, etc. Even if Sony would allow PD (or Evo when they were around) to support older wheels, those Logitech wheels still wouldn't be supported, because Logitech refuse to make PS4 drivers for them.

Finally, I have my pack just need to invert the pedals.

I just bought my T500 and it should arrive at friday if i'm lucky enough!

But my old and good DFGT is here, at my living room, on the cockpit that i used a T300, sometimes i borrow a friend's PS3 and use it. It still runs fine after almost 9 years of use.

But i do feel diference when comparing it to my ex-T300, of course, the FFB is better in the T300, but what really makes it go to another whole level is the fast response on the T300. To make drift or just counter steer to make adjustments, it is so FAST!

Or maybe the DFGT is slow, you can use it just fine, it's true, but the difference in response is a lot more a acurrate with the T300.

There's this video that show how "free" the T300 is compared to the T150 and T500:

I really looking forward to use a T500 for the first time and compare it to the T300.

But it's a shame that Logitech don't allow to use their old wheels that in the last gen was the majority on the PS3. And the G29 been so similar with the G27 and G25 only makes it more weird.

You can see just how powerful the T500 is in this clip. Catching the wheel at full speed is not easy :)

Surprising how much damping is on the T150 though, it looks to be a bit faster than a DFGT but slower than a G27/29.

I'd be really curious to hear your feedback on the T300 vs. T500 in a back to back comparison. They have been on my radar for quite some time and I can't decide between the two. Appreciate any feedback you might have:tup:

There is an unofficial tool to make it work on the PS4 and its cheap and not very hard to implement, and it seems it works well.
I'll try everything possible to make it work before selling it.
Since it also works on PC I could sell it relatively easy but I dont feel like paying so much for a T300 or a G29

Well, for 150€ you have a trusthmaster T150RS, and it's already better than the driving force GT..(and it works on PS3,PS4 & PC) so,a really good entry level wheel for those that don't want to spend 300 + € on a G29 / T300 / T500.

Right if you have a DFGT or another cheap wheel but if you have a G25/27 or simular you must admit that a T150 is a downgrade...

Yes,a G27 is better than the T150.

But the G29 is pretty the same as the G27 but cost the double than a T150.
Or even the T300 is double priced as the T150.

But like i said, the T150 is a good entry level wheel for those that don't want to spend lot of money.
And later on you can put the 3PA pedal set on and the shifter

But they still have to spend money to buy another wheel.

I have to say, i was really frustrated when i find out that my perfectly working DFGT will not be compatible with the PS4 and in order to play racing games, i would have to buy another one.

I also dont want to sell it to then buy another one which will improve my current one only a little bit (it seems the only big difference is the levers), and also is 50€ more expensive (my DFGT cost 100€ and it was new)
The hard part of this is to sell my current one, of course... People are not very keen on buying second hand for a few € of difference and prefer buying a new one.
If I can make the DFGT work on the PS4 I'll stick with it for sure.

I'm not gonna buy a new wheel. Why do I have to waste more money because of Sony/Microsoft/game developers?
I already have the Fanatec CSR since the time of FM4. If it still won't be supported in pc mode, I'll get the Cronusmax Plus adapter. No problem.

I played with a DFGT and the FFB difference is more than "a little bit" with the T150.
The levers are also a good difference.
And the rotation at 1080 degrees is also a good difference.

So the global improvement is enough difference (the normal price of the T150 was 200€..) So now it's at a good price really.

And yes, in second hand you find DFGT used in good condition for 45€ or less.. It's normal, cause the wheel is outdated now.

And,that you want to try to make your DFGT compatible with PS4...well good luck then..
I find buying a new wheel easier, more in your case with a DFGT

Levers?

I don't know how much the G29 costs over there but the pedals are well worth the upgrade over the DFGT, personally I like everything about the G29 more than the previous Logitech wheels and yes most of the improvements are incremental but they are all the right improvements and the G29 is a great package out of the box. On the G29 the pedals are an improvement out of the box and of course there are plenty of mods available just like the old G27's that can improve them but the addition of the rubber in the brake does make them very good out of the box and you can get away without doing any mods to them.

As with all Logitech wheels the dead zone is still an issue. But the plus side is the Logitech reliability.

I personally wouldn't consider a T150. But depending on the price I would absolutely consider a T300 over the G29 but if I got the T300 I'd also want the T3PA pedals so factor those in as well. The T3PA pedals are roughly the equivalent of G29 pedals however they are adjustable and there is a load cell mod you can grab for them.

So there you go, if I manage to sell it for only 50€ I will need to put an extra 100€ to buy the other one, which I think its not worth it. That unofficial tool to make it work on the PS4 costs about 15€ or so.

I meant paddles not levers. Had a language mix up.
A G29 costs about twice as the T150 and three times more than a DFGT.
But really, I think a good driver will do well with most wheels and a bad driver wont do well with any wheel, if you know what I mean.
Lots of times I won races with a DFGT against people who have much more expensive wheels. At the end of the day is your skill that matters most.

To be fair until you get to a direct drive wheel, wheels normally don't effect performance. The DFGT has always been a great performer and it has won World Championships on iRacing. The pedals are what really matter but even then a great driver can win with cheap pedals however the majority of people do report improvements with better pedals.

Trying to choose between T300RS and Logitech G29... Can't decide

I haven't read up on the new TM wheel that was revealed at the event. Any news on that front?
Thats not a hard decision. T300rs is the better wheel. And logitech have poor customer service dont buy from them.

I'll just keep using my G27 and GIMX setup. If my G27 ever breaks before then I'll consider getting a new thrustmaster or any other wheel as long as its not a logitech. Im still pissed off that logitech wont allow devs to use the g27 drivers ala t500.

As much as I was disappointed with Logitech and the whole PS4/G27 issue, here in New Zealand the Thrustmaster wheels are too expensive for my liking so I did sell my G27 and replace it with a G29.
Here you can pick up a new G29 for $398 whereas the T150 is $438 and the T300 is $698 (best price, elsewhere $799).
With all I've read of Thrustmasters unreliability it was a no-brainer to continue with Logitech even though in principle I didn't really want too.

Similar to the situation in Australia, the cheapest I've seen a T300 here is $450 but that is with the standard 2 pedal set, I bought my G29 for just $275 from Harvey Norman. If the T300 was better priced in Australia I would have grabbed it but the regular price is $599.

I'd be willing to pay more for a direct drive wheel and I can't wait to see how much it will be.

Fanatec support? Would like to know because no Fanatec support no purchase for me!

You probably wont be purchasing it then, I doubt GTS will support Fanatec wheels.

That's exactly what I'm doing as well. I don't have any wheel other than my buggy DFGT, and I'm actually curious to see what this new direct drive wheel they were showcasing will offer.

I've only been playing sims for about a year now. I just got a wheel (G29) and I'm practicing the "world locations" confirmed tracks for GTS, in project cars for PS4. Wondering if anyone wanted to race sometime? Looking for other people with wheels to play against so I can get better.

@edbenz27 you want to head over to the project cars but on the forum and join "crap league" but the best online racing is with NXT GEN racing on Facebook. Really fast guys. Or head to the official project cars affiliates at APEX online racing
