Put in disk, and it says "coming soon".
Anyone think the Top Gear test track will offer a "free roam" feature so that you can drive anywhere on the track without following the usual line?
Uhhhh I got a feeling your gonna end up being dissapointed then.
Sorry.
Actually I wont be disappointed at all. I just wont buy it, that way it will be SCE and PD's loss. Not mine.
Ya, but you are just a grain of sand on the beach of Gran Turismo sales. Not saying you aren't important though.
I'll be disappointed if Red Rock Valley is still absent

What?
Jazz, chillout are always a MUST in Gran Turismo menus and car showroom.
I would add the lack of carbon-ceramic brake discs getting hot....especially if you're racing at night-lack of backfire and flame comming from exhaust (makes the car feel more alive)
Of course it's YOUR loss, because you will be missing the best racing game on PS3, maybe of all time.
But if you are stubborn enough to simply ignore the whole game because of the missing cockpits, no one will try to convince you.
I would think being the companies loss is not necessarily exclusive to being the consumers loss...
That said, if he is so unhappy as not to buy it, doesn't that mean he doesn't lose because he doesn't want it?
It's kind of like saying "I skipped dinner because I don't like porkchops or asparagus" and then someone coming back "well your loss because it is the best dinner ever"...
Ummm it's not the best dinner to someone who doesn't like porkchops and asparagus...
I know what you want to say, but doesn't registering here and being an active part of the community express your love for GT? GT5 will be just as awesome as every other GT-Game and I think everyone in here loves the series ...so why ignoring GT5 because of a feature that wasn't even announced in the first place?
To me this doesn't make sense, I'm sure he enjoyed GT1/2/3/4 and the fact that GT5 will surpass them should be more than an argument to buy it - even if it has some flaws which all games have.

Not necessarily... being an active political member doesn't mean you necessarily love the government as it is and being an active member of say a corvette club doesn't mean you particullarly agree with the direction corvette is going (just a totally random example, I am not saying anythign about corvette really).
Basically being a member of the community means you are strongly interested in it, it does not necessarily mean you will love it or that you won't be significantly dissapointed with it.
I am an active member and you don't have to throw a dead cat to find someone who will tell you am not blindly in love with GT5... I have bee interested in what it was supposed to be, but if what it turns out to be ends up being signifincantly different, that all can change.
Just because something surpasses it's predacessors does not necessarily mean it's doing a good job. There are plenty of companies out there that continue to do better every year than they did the last, but the competition does better faster and the result is that while Company A's widgets may have gotten better every year and I liked Company A's previous widgets; Company B has improved faster than company A making Company A's widgets sub par in the overall market.
There have been many similar arguments around here about GT5, one being:
Previous GTs didn't have it and you loved them! (mostly about damage/cockpits) and the answer there is simialr - that was then, this is now. I think you can agree if they just re released GT2 exactly how it was, as much as one loved it then, no one really would be so happy now.
Remember, across the board improvement and competition is good for all of us in the end, while it may come at the cost of any particular company...
I personally hope FM and the other "semi" sim racers out there have lit a fire under PD to go in new directions and they do it really well... not only because then we will have an awesome GT5 to play, but then FM4 and all the NFS's and Dirts and what not out there will also have to work harder...
I think you summed it up pretty well, Triple D.
BTW I was a little concerned there for a while you might be issued a temporary restraining order. Glad to see you are still with us.
i know i'm going to be disappointed by the horrible menu music PD always has in their games... i mean who wants to listen to elevator music, really?
