can somebody start a thread for how old all the moaners are bitchin about lack of tracks ( WE HAVE AN EDITOR ) what would dissatisfie you about gt5, oh pls shut the hell up wait fore the game and uall drown in perfection.

I think you belong to this thread:

https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?t=122263

Still is good to have at least one thread that is been critic with Gran Turismo, anything is perfect but GT does its best to be close to perfection.

If i managed to complete the game. The only gamei've ever completed is prologue(that was one good day). But if I manage to complete the game then it is too easy and going back to it will feel pointless.

I thought everybody was aware:odd:: no Porsche in GT5, hopefully in GT6.

Well, I'm only in here once in a while just to see if anything changed, so I dint know for sure. Like I said no big deal there are plenty of other Manufacturers and we still have Ruf. Still kinda annoying though.

-
- a heavily Japanese-biased car selection
- the non Japanese cars are once again handicapped
- American cars still sound like electric drills and vaccum cleaners

Exactly. I always liked the GNX that I could only get 500hp out of or the GT40 I could only get about 650 out of but I could blow on a skyline the wrong way and get a 1000.

^^^^ Not sure what you mean.
Games of this nature are never completed.
Get involved with an online team and race weekly leagues etc.

Bot to bothered if I complete it or not TBH.

I'm not so disappointed that you misspelled the word disappointing but that you are trying real hard to be disappointed with GT5 even when it's not even out yet. Why can't we look forward to hoping we get the best game ever? Trying to find things wrong with it when we haven't even tried the final product doesn’t really make sense to me. This is after all a GT fan site and trying to put people’s hopes down when we have all been waiting for so long does not help the situation. Almost all the threads that you have posted on here seems to be very negative about GT5 or GT in general for that matter. Do you work for Turn10 or something?

I try with the spelling but I am far from perfect... maybe I should switch to firefox or something with built in spell check...

As for trying to be dissapointed? I certainly don't try to be... perhaps I am more easily dissapointed than some?

Oh and I would ask you to note that this is a speculation thread- hypothetical and academic about a possible future action. So it actually fits quite well in with a game that hasn't been released yet... it's kind of the point of the thread.

And do you also bring such critique to the numerous threads that are overly positive about GT5 (which as you note hasn't been released yet so how can you know to be so positive)?

This forum is labled as news rumoer and speculation... I don't think there is a requirement that it be positive. And GTP is a community site, communities are not necessarily entirely happy or positive at any given time.

So while I understand your disdain for what you percieve, I don't know what you think would be creative in posting about this?

As you can see the thread has served a purpose to a myriad of forum members so it's not just frivolous... sorry if not wearing rose colored glasses botheres you but it's just how some people are...

Good point. So do you work for Turn 10? If so carry on I was just curious to know or would you rather not disclose.

Being and expressing disappointment and therefore critical for a possible future outcome on a forum mostly dedicated to a game isn't the same as not being a fan, but just not being a blind fanboy who will be satisfied ( or swallowing his disappointments and defending it afterwards by bending his thoughts again and again ) with whatever PD puts in front of him.

Those who are critical may serve a more useful purpose by sending feedback to PD ( they do seem to acknowledge the existence of this forum ) they can actually use to further develop the series, instead of every decision they make being applauded like a North Korean communist party convention.
Kaz started GT because of discontent with existing driving games ( he probably has more respect for those who "dare" to be critical than those who act like teenage girls when faced with their Pop-Idol ).

And ofcourse it's all hypothetical and speculative at this point and for those who get their hopes down possibly, how so?
If these issues didn't already get your hopes down you probably have nothing to fear from a pessimistic ( or realistic ) point of view, it's those who got their hopes up in the first place who express and feel disappointment for the possible eventual outcome.

you should shift to chrome, set up in English and fix all language miss spells,as for the grammatical perspective chrome doesn't do that

And back to GT5 this thread is more like "what do you expect to find in GT5?",instead of being"What would YOU find dissapointing in GT5?", I see in this way and the title that I write is not too far from the topic,is hard to predict what to find disappointing while the mayor features has been improved ,the only thing that will be disappointing is of course the lack of cockpits on 800 cars, but apart from that there is not too much expecting into the game because is still covering all the basis of this gender, not covering all motor racing basis, like TOCA 3 or I Racing, since it wants to be the real driving simulator, not the most complete or the one that fill up all the basis of motoring.

Is fair to say that the expectations should be within the game main basis, like original tracks or classic features but should not be impossible like 1000 premium cars(not bringing up the cockpit topic but I already a bit disappointed about it).

So in a round-up the people should be more methodical in their own posts, the idea of the threads is of course discuss a topic, not import other topics :) .

Two words, rhymes with 'Fish On Dirty Store'... thats right, Mission 34. If we have to wait 90 seconds again..I'll, I'LL!- beat it eventually, but c'mon, how about you give us a 3 second countdown, eh? Just start the cars X amount ahead of us and countdown from 3, done!

Was that the one on the Nürburgring in the SLR McLaren?
If it was, I totally agree.

👍 Totally agree there. What were they thinking? Why make us wait 90 seconds? I don't get that. Maybe the first time off and then with restart button just do 3 second wait.

I think they didn't want to give the cars an arbitrary advantage. They made the cars actually drive so they didn't have to assume their position, and therefore make it as realistic as possible.

But your suggestion works well. Let the cars go in the first time off, then save their attributes when the countdown reaches 3 seconds, and when you restart go from there. Probably they didn't bother to create a whole physics saving feature just for this mission though, and well, I can only partially blame them for that. It seems too much to ask.

The cpu can certainly simulate a whole race in a matter of seconds, so there is no need to wait for the actual race to play out normal speed.

Assuming the ai doesn't act exaxtly the same every time anyway, there really isn't a reason to watch the whole 90 seconds outside of punishing you every time you fail :)

Not exactly. It always depend on how they've done it. They can easily push the CPU to it's limits while in normal play, what means it's impossible to accelerate the physics simulation that drastically.

And the AI randomness is exactly why you must let it race, not assume it will be in a certain position, since it's random. Therefore it will hardly be were you assumed.

I suppose that is possible but I don't think I have ever seen that be the case...

Controller vs Wheel
During the GT Academy PS3 competition, I found myself losing more than 2secs/lap to the wheel users and I was very disappointed. I think that was too much advantage given to the wheel users and its not fair. Some of us cant afford a wheel. I hope PD will reduce the difference between controller and wheel users on GT5. 2+ is just too much.

Other than engineering in an artificial handicap (which is beyond stupid), there's no real way to reduce that gap. The wheel offers more precise control, not a power boost.

I would find it dissapointing if the following weren't included
Tracks
Spa-Francorchamps
Monza
Brands Hatch
Watkins Glen
(If one of these was included then that would be fine)
Cars
Some late 80's early 90's f1 cars weren't in it
No more current f1 cars were included
and
No dynamic weather
if kaz wasn't happy with it

If the standard settings make the cars feel like they did in GT4.

I haven't got a PS3 to play the Prologues, so I don't know how they play first-hand.

That's why they have PRO physics. No one is making you play on standard anything.

Yes, I know, I switched off all the aids and adjusted each car's TC and ESP etc as and when I drove them, but my gripe is the horrid understeer before you adjust the game.

Crikey, I haven't played the new one, which I admit in my previous post. No need to jump on me.

 Hes not getting at you, but i think your post is confusing. Like you said you never played GT5P so your making your judgment based on a old physics engine In GT4. GT5P feel way better than GT4 👍
