Okay so he is the test driver on Top Gear and he wears a white suit and helmet. I've seen people offer two cars of their choice for this suit on the GTP Marketplace. Am I missing something here? All I know is I wouldn't want a plain white suit and helmet over hundreds of other suits to choose from. So what's so special about this one suit and helmet that doesn't even seem to exist?

'cause he's the Chuck Norris of cars.
If you wear his suit/helmet, you automatically get sixty extra horsepower. :dopey:

You have obviously never watched Top Gear. If you had you wouldn't be asking you would just except his Stigness's godlyness.

The Stig is unique...If The Stig was an element he would deserve his own square on the periodic table!

Obviously I've watched Top Gear before. I'm not really looking for Chuck Norris jokes. Yes I'm a Top Gear fan too but really? It's a white racing suit not the real Stig.

the suit isnt in GT5 yet.... i have 109 helmets. 112 suit. on my sub account i have done the seasonl events, drift and time trials over and over. still havnt seen it. also it would have shown up in the market place by now. my guess is they will have a special seasonal event in which you win this

Yes, but there's more suits and helmets combined than cars in GT5.
690 of each to be exact.

Indeed, he's twice as unique now than he was at the beginning - he defies all laws of logic, science and truth.

Some say his skin has the texture of a dolphin's, and that wherever you are in the world, if you tune your radio to 88.4, you can actually hear his thoughts...

The only reason I'm after it is because one of my BOBs is B.Collins(the last Stig)

OK, is he one of those one in a million superbobs?
One that actually listens when you tell him to speed up/pass?

I was going to whip up an obligatory Stig introduction ("Some say...") but couldn't come up with anything satisfactory. Wait! Nevermind!

Some say that he has large PP..., and that he can save during endurance races....

What's so special about Stig?

He represents driving mastery and isn't just a driver but an iconic character. You could get any random racing driver and stick them in the car, but The Stig is an icon. He may appear plain, like a crucifix, but like a crucifix there's countless millions that identify with that simple image.

You have obviously never watched Top Gear. If you had you wouldn't be asking you would just except his Stigness's godlyness.

I was going to +1 that until I saw the subsequent reply insisting he's familiar with the epic show and Stig.

I suppose it's like a NASCAR fan wanting to slap a NASCAR sticker onto their bumper or wear a shirt plastered with their favorite driver. The face on the NASCAR tee-shirt is just an image of the driver and not the real driver standing there, but people are satisfied with just the image.

I am willing to bet that Stig does not have a valid drivers license which is why he always drives on a closed course!

No, he is kept in storage and is taken out when he is needed.

Some say that the outline of his left nipple is exactly the same shape as the Nurburg ring, and that if you give him a really important job to do, he’ll skive off and play croquet...

At least that's why I think he's special :D

edit: aw **** I didn't see the second page. Somebody beat me to "some say"!

He'd fail the HC verbal test, so he couldn't have a UK Licence.

Examiner: Can you tell me the stopping distance at 70mph?

Stig: ...

Examiner: Well, can you read the numberplate on that Red Golf to me?

Stig: ...

Examiner: I'm sorry to tell you but on this occasion you have failed... oh...

Stig: (Gets out of car and walks off)

The truth is that Top Gear is a partly-scripted entertainment show. If you really believe everything you see then you need a frying pan to be connected with the back of your head at speed.

Stig is the icon whose myth-made-man character sells a lot of merchandise. It's part of the fun of Top Gear... anyone who wants to watch a stat-based nerd-fest should watch the Plato thing on the soft-porn channel.

Some say that he has grown 6 feet in 3 weeks, and that he can drive every single car in the world faster than anyone, even on the moon with slick tires and a fat lady tied to the bonnet. All we know is, he's called the Stig. Or the Stigs Swedish cousin, or his Southafrican cousin, or his moon cousin. This "guy" drove a BMW Diesel car in a 24h race faster than others a Viper with 3 times more hp.
