Using what? I've got a GT Academy 370Z if we want to use those. Still working on my licenses to get the GT-R. Been busy with my Spec Miata series and I just started another one as well.

I don't have any of the GTA cars yet, maybe you can share it with me in a practice? Up tonight?

I think we can share it. I'm actually off to bed right now, won't be back on the game until tomorrow after work. Probably would be best this weekend.

I got about an hour or two before dinner, and an hour or so after my wife went to bed.

At the time of posting I managed 8th overall, 4th in the Northeast.

I'm in the 1:50's and 1:44's, which is OK. However, there's probably another second at both tracks which will drive me nuts all week trying to find it.

...I might as well just call it 7th or 8th in the Northeast as the likes of Zissou, 3wide, and z06fun have yet to post.

Now that round 2 has begun, it's back to goal setting. 1:44.999 and 1:50.999 were my goals for tonight, so I'm glad those were met. I probably won't run at all tomorrow (jamming with guys from work), and just a little if any on Wednesday (date night?). However, next session I'm hoping to get below 1:44.500 and 1:05.700, based on my sector times tonight.

Quitting time for me tonight. Currently sitting 1st overall in the West @ 3:35.575

Indy Road: 1:51.089
Toscana: 1:44.486

^^^ Looks like your in 2nd place now. As for me, I was in third this morning, now I'm 11th hahah. I have a feeling it will be like this all week.

Day 1 complete. 3:36.244 4th/15th Midwest/Overall. Hard to complain with a good start.

Indy: 1:51.209 - 6th/23rd - Didn't run this much and every lap seems to be below 1:51.7, it's just a matter of putting it together.

Toscana: 1:45.035 - 6th/18th - Trouble getting the power down. 2ths puts me 3rd in Midwest.

Day 2 Goals: in the 50s and 44s.

heh, I did the same thing. 1 hour before dinner 2 hours after... ended up in 18th for the NE. Almost on pace to get through. Looks like we had some sand-bagging in round 1 though; the times for round 2 already seem much tighter.
Indy on those tires is torture but I actually think Toscana is kinda fun. Probably going to spend most of my time there; gave me "Rusty Springs" flashbacks once I started to figure out how to connect apexes to turn some of the 3 and 4 turn complexes into one parabollica style corner.

good times r1600! Not bad for the first day!

I am much more comfortable with Round 2 then i was with Round 1. currently i am sitting in 9th in the midwest. I do not doubt my ability it has just been a slow process of becoming familiar with GT5.

👎

You do not deserve a top 16 spot in the Midwest, never mind a top 5 spot.

Your driving is terrible, and your course cutting has compromised this competition.

I agree 100%, there's a difference between the cape and this. What's happening here is just plain stupid.

You guys are kidding of course, right?

I'm finished here.

nope, this is a bit bigger than the cape. I showed that with a clean lap anyone could of made the top 128 without extending the course distance. This is corner cutting.

But you do troll well so good for you.

I get it, you are a purist - what do we Cape Ring cheaters expect... Yes, it's subjective, but you have to be kidding if you don't really think there's a difference between going long on a corner at Cape Ring and gaining a 3s advantage by eliminating the most challenging section of the course.

Gained 1.2 seconds tonight, Im calling it a night. Getting some rest to wind up for some all nighters later in the week. 44th in the NE overall. Thankfully haven't come close to hitting a wall time wise yet :)

S_Diem just snagged my Toscana lead with a time .006 faster than mine.
I saw that just now.

I ended up using your ghost for the first time today. Must have not carried good speed at the last corner because I tend to stay ahead of you from start-finish until at least T4. On my best lap, I was neck-and-neck until the final corner and stupid me decides to have a brain fart and ended up going wide. Lost at least .300 right there and had to settle for a 1:44.9xx for tonight.

Hooray! A new ghost to follow!

Yeah, no funky slide this time either. Freaking 35-ish laps to lay that down, even through a period where I kept spinning out that almost made me quit. I honestly don't think I have any more in me.

35 laps? Wish my knees could hold up to do that right now. As it stands, 10 is the max I can go before I have to ice them down.

I'll have to take a look your ghost tomorrow. If I'm still getting ahead of you in the first couple of corners, then there is more time to be had. If there's something that has been consistent ever since the first time trials, you've always been faster than me! :dunce:

Well RackAttack just got me with a 1:44.216 and I'm not even going to try and beat him. Hopefully Sony comes up with a solution for Indy so I can spend some quality time there.
