Ok, looks like you have the optional acrylic table top? Or did you find a table top on your own? Did you ever use it as is, with the regular mounting point for the wheel?
I had that top made for me, the optional acrylic top (after much research) looked as if it would impede my vision of the G27 shifter button panel. I mocked up my design with stiff cardboard, and then had it drawn in CAD and then CNC routered out of an acrylic stone bench top material by Dupont called Corian.

This is all mounted to the original wheel deck on the oZone, no additional support is used or needed. I used it for several weeks minus the table top waiting for it to be made, and the rig was still rock solid with very little if no movement.

Latest updates include T300 wheel, and 5.1 surround system, I will find a recent photo and post later on.

That obutto is on my list. Can you do all of us a favor and post your measurements for the table top? Maybe a few more pics. About how much does this new table top weigh? Looks GREAT!!

Sorry for blurry phone pics, as it is currently, I will run the tape measure over the table top when I am home next ;)

My wife, got tired of the heavy wooden SimRacing stand that I built, taking up ALOT of space and being a lug, to move around... She got it off of ebay, and arrived yesterday... I like it... So much adjust-ability, my daughter can now race, without having to look way over the wheel... This thing is pretty solid... I have a gt2 with inverted pedals mounted to it... I had to improvise, on the shifter mount... Seems that only my G27 Shifter was for that part... But I got it on there, and its holding, up really well... This is my first bought wheel stand, and I can say I am completely satisfied... On Ebay it's listed at $200 and is shipped from Canada... There is also a web site, but all I've done is browse... I just wanted to chime in and tell of my experience so far... and so far... I'm having a lot of fun...

how about the name of your new stand and website. If i don't have it listed i will be sure to add.
Oh... I must have deleted it when I was editing for spelling... lol... The Ionrax RS1... Even thought my wife got it off of ebay, They do seem to have a website, based in the area of where it was shipped from, thru ebay... http://www.ionrax.com/... I have only browsed the site and only after I was told she already bought the stand... I haven't bought anything else for it yet, but I will get the seat for it... I noticed on a previous post, in this thread, that no one had the web page, But this is what I found on it... I HOPE its legit, and I wouldn't see why not... It has the same address that mine came from...

Here's some pics of it...

I had to modify the shifter mount, because I didn't want to use the chopsticks for the wheel...
(it came with 2 different ways to mount it, off of the side of the wheel deck, or off of a post, that comes out from the bottom and up the side...)
WP_20141217_014.jpg

And How I set everything up...
WP_20141217_024.jpg

Like I said... This thing is pretty sturdy... The metal used is thick, and not some thin flimsy crap... And Its been holding up great so far... The VERY little bit that it does shake, I noticed is from the carpet underneath, and not from the stand itself...

Ionrax has been added. Again this looks so familiar. I remember the two separate models with one being wider and having the handbrake.

Looks nice. I am sure you will enjoy. Will it improve your times? Only time will tell.

The most important question,,,
What are you planning to buy your better half for Xmas? You know she earned mega browny points for buying the stand.

Well... We already did the 10yr. thing... So she already got the new diamond... But, Since, she's the 6-string player (I'm bass), I got her this... http://www2.gibson.com/Products/Electric-Guitars/2015/Les-Paul-Studio.aspx

LPST15MMSN1_CALLOUT_HERO.jpg I'm still waiting for it to get here... And she has NO IDEA... lol... She's gonna S**t herself... lol... Can't wait to hear her play it...

I recently bought this:

Took about 3 weeks to get to me due to a postage mix up at their end, but was easy to put together and works beautifully for my driving skills.

I can't tell you how good it feels to have my G27 shifter SOLIDLY sat in it's housing, instead of me constantly pulling from it's clamped position on my computer desk

I do love the ad above, listing "SUPERB RACING SKILLS DISPLAYED" as part of it's "features" It has improved my manual gear shift driving, but i'd be a fool to say it's made my "skills" superb !

The images show the hand brake etc, on the R/H side, but mine are actually on the L/H side, which is handy as i live in England. Tho you can't swap sides, be warned, other worldwide drivers. You'll be stuck with British/Japanese side driving. Unless I am mistaken on this and you can buy the stand with both options perhaps ? My one has two dials, either side of the driving pedals plate, but they seem to be of no consequence, because the pedals plate is welded in place. As far as I can tell, it cannot slide from side to side, sadly. I am pretty sure the dials are to swap the handbrake/gearshift arm and table from side to side, tho that'd be stupid, if you can't move the car pedals to the other side too. My only conclusion is that it must come in two sided editions maybe ?
I wish you could adjust the height of the plate that you sit your pedals onto, as i'd prefer to make mine lean at a steeper angle, but it's still ay ok. I can no doubt build something to sit under the pedals and raise them further anyway.

I would say to not worry about build quality tho as it is VERY solid and secure. Height and length adjustable too, for those with longer legs, tho, i like my setup kinda low slung, as it were, which means i might have to open up my G27 wheel and take out the clamps, so i stop banging my knee against the R/H side clamp, when accelerating/braking. The company, rather nicely, supply dial ended screws that fit your G27 equipment crew holes perfectly, so you can clamp in all your stuff easily and no need to have to fuss around unscrewing them at a later date, thanks to the dials on the end of said screws

Hand brake works, but i rarely ever use the handbrake in GT6, so it is just a nice addition and not essential for my driving style. It's a small chip with one end being USB ( to the PS3 - provided in packaging ) and the other a small connector from the handbrake itself. the computer chip has all the DS3 buttons marked on it, so you just connect that to the "O" button ( i have that as the handbrake ) and then put the USB into the PS3. Cool that you can assign any of the DS3 buttons, so it doesn't need to mess up your preferred handbrake setting. There isn't much resistance in the handbrake itself. I feel i should upgrade to a much stiffer spring. Fortunately it could be easily done, as the spring, itself, is pretty easily accessible. You have to push in the button, like a real car, to pull on/off the handbrake, at least which is a cute little feature and appreciated, rather than it be just some arm that lifts on it's own.

The side table part, where the hand brake and gear shift sit, can be adjusted forward or backward in 5 increments. Mine is sat 2 from the very furthest holes, meaning it can come back further toward you by a good 3 to 4 inches still. Useful if you feel the handbrake might be getting in the way of your gear shifting elbow.

I don't have the optional bucket seat, just using a comfy office chair, with the wheels removed, so i don't move the chair backward when i push the pedals:lol: ( gteye brake mod installed and original brake pedal spring transferred to the clutch ) .

Price, i guess mid-range. Before Christmas 2013, these were only £115 + £8ish postage on Ebay, but are now £183 plus more postage, which is my fault for dithering too long on whether i should get one or not. Quite a jump in price regardless.

I'm sure there are many better ones out there, but i found this particular stand to be working out just great for me so far. It's genuinely solid, as everything is bolted together and not flimsily sat in a housing where it might wobble somewhat. I was genuinely nicely surprised, when i had constructed it and found out to have not blown my money on a whim after all

My one, is specifically for G25/27 wheels, and the screw holes for clamping the wheel, gear shift and pedals are drilled as such.

It's slightly on the bulky side, but i think it only adds to the solid feel. With the way i have set up, it measures around 700mm across by 1100mm in length. I have no idea how tall that super cute Thai girl is in the above photos, but i'm 5.10" and it doesn't feel small to me, other than i have the wheel tray set a bit low ( hence the knee banging, but that's the G27 clamp protruding ). Maybe add another 100mm or so, if the handbrake/gearshift table is fully extended.
Plus, add the depth of your TV table/stand on top of that of course. I have my 48" LED ( so it's pretty damn slim ) sat on a table, in front of the IronRax stand, adding another 340mm ( table depth ). I'm just listing these measurement, incase anyone interested in one, needs to work out how much space they have at home, before buying one. 👍

The seller is helpful and has a 100% positive feedback:

i knew i had seen this rig. I guess my memory is not as bad as i have been told. The reason i never listed was the only way to purchase was via ebay. My link would have been outdated as soon as the auction was finalized.

IMG_0990.JPG IMG_0990.JPG IMG_0991.JPG IMG_0994.JPG IMG_0996.JPG I have had a Hperdrive cockpit (base model) from years back and modified it several times over the years to the way I like it or out of pure need to match the the wheel setups.
I have welded extra support for the wheel and the frame, added the subaru wrx seat, brackets for the logitech sound system and the foam padding around all the frame work.
Not the best looking setup but it works a treat now just going to mod the pedal setup and make up a bracket to have them inverted.

Has anyone tried emailing Wheelstandpro for anything recently? I've tried countless times over the last 3 months and haven't received a thing back.

What is your price point?
Any specifications you desire?
What type of hardware will you be using?

Within the $800.00 price are you including 3 monitors? Or is the $800.00 just for the rig and you have more money for the monitors. I just bought 24" Asus Monitor for my son at apx $149.00.

The $800 is just for the rig.

Take a look at Zalem http://www.zalem.es

Obutto in my thoughts is the leader by a big margin. Rarely have I heard a bad issues with these rigs. I just bought the Ozone model. You could get this one and the triple monitor stand for under $500.00. The Revolution is right at your price point, $800.00. Great looking rig.

MS4R does not appear to give you the option for steering wheel height adjustment.

Gtomega, the tax issue concerns me. You need to clarify the amount, the conversion rate and shipping charges from England.

4Play uses what is known as 80/20 material. From what I have read this stuff is very rigid an allows modification. Does it offer a triple stand?

Also make sure the steering wheel you use will be supported by your new rig. Along with the pedal set.

A big shout out to @Clevohead for all his help and endless PM's helping me build my own table top for my Obutto rig. You can see his custom design at the top of the page.

Easy enough project. I used a jigsaw, tape measure, power drill, and lots of sandpaper. I bought a 24X36X3/4 finished shelf-board from Lowe's for $25.00. Looking back I could have gone with a piece of plywood. At the time of purchase I was planning on either painting or staining the table top and wanted a better quality finish than plywood could offer. I also picked up some small hardware nuts and bolts for around a few dollars. I used 4 bolts and 2 nuts/washers, 2 bolts attached directly to the G27. ( As Clevohead mentioned be sure that the bolts attaching the G27 do not interfere with the tubes on the underside of the steering wheel plate.) 2 bolts counter sunk as you can see attached to the metal plate. The carbon fiber wrap 60X24 was only $8.00 from Amazon. The whole project did not take long and can be accomplished in a couple of days.

If you are going to attempt this build I would pass along some words of wisdom from myself and mostly Clevohead,

Template. I strongly suggest cutting one from stiff card board, trial fitting. and going from there making changes as needed. Then you will have a template for yours. This bit of advice from Clevohead was priceless. Yes I had a diagram drawing but to actual work with a full size model eliminated some of my design mistakes.

Clevohead used 30 mm radius on all his corners. I was not that precise.

As clevohead noted when drilling the center hole for wires, be aware of the position of the steering plate. Depending on your measurements you may end up having to cut metal. I have yet to cut a hole on mine.

Pre fit and cut the Carbon fiber to ensure all corners fit properly. I used a credit card to help with the application of the wrap to eliminate the wrinkles and bubbles.
