Where's Australia?

Guys, I hope this thread doesn't initiate a trend of "Where's xxxx?" threads. I know you like Australian tracks and the like. But to have thousands of threads just seems pointless. Why shouldn't I make a thread "Where's Argentina?". We have our races, also. TC2000, Turismo Carretera (oldest car racing series still active in the world, featuring stock cars in the manner of American NASCAR series). Not to mention one of the greatest drivers of all time.

I wouldn't mind the Brazilian F1 grand prix circuit, don't know how many times I raced that in old F1 games, good track, I used to love it.

+1 👍

Is the license so expensive for an real track?

So they don´t have to pay for it when they name it different? like cote d azur?

I don't think its expensive its just that PD haven't gotten around to including them, remember that they go to the lenghts of laser-scanning them and taking thousands of photos! And comparing Suzuka to real life it pays off.

But I imagine the costs of flying around the world to do this combined with whether they feel they need that many tracks in usually means we don't get many.
Hopefully we are starting to see this improve now.

I'm not so sure the naming of Monaco was to avoid paying - its just they can't name it Monaco Grand Prix or Monte Carlo presumably because its tied to the FIA F1 license in some way or there's an extra fee.

Each circuit has different owners and contracts, for example, Silverstone is owned the BRDC and so to get that track PD don't have to go through the FIA.

I think it's a perfectly reasonable request given the percentage of Australians on these boards who race competitively (not to mention the one who seems to be able to post unbeatable times the first day of an event and gives the rest of the world a week to try and catch up).

+1 for Bathurst. Give me a livery editor and Mobil 05 on the side of my Crapadore and I'm king of the mountain :D. The Adelaide (F1) circuit would be pretty cool too, there shouldn't be any licensing issues now that Ecclestone sold us out to the vics.
