As a proud Division III WRS driver, Sonzilla, I'll accept. What track do you have in mind? My choice would be the Nordschleife, purely because it tests the cars thoroughly in every situation, but driving skill may become too much of a factor. So a shorter course, such as Grand Valley Speedway?

DE

So what's up I sent you a PM about the tracks . I figure best lap wins with oil change, Bone stock, No Aids and you must provide a pic or video for proof.

I believe the aruging about which is best will never stop, they are both extremelly similar cars both good in their own ways.

i cant believe that this thread is still going the car that is faster is the car that you are better with

There we have the absolute truth in two posts, in my hands a Skyline will beat a Supra because I know its strenghts better but for someone else the situation may be reversed.

This debate will never end because people here are so hard headed. I mean seriously one car has to be better it can't go both ways. Each car has a limit that limit was found in the several test's in this thread. It proved that the Supra was the favor stock for stock in the same year.

Now if you want to say I drive the skyline faster that's cool but the facts remain that the Supra is the faster one.

I will challenge anyone to a race if they think otherwise. Dark Elite seems to be backing out.

he is NOT backing out. he just has some other stuff to do. just be patient. he'll let you know what he thinks of your suggestion etc.

I don't think there will be a fight, but as said above, the Supra is faster stock, it beats any other road car Skyline when it comes to speed.

The Supra has more understeer than the Skyline, the Skyline has better handling.

yes, it's faster..ON STRAIGHTS! now, show me one straight that doesn't end up into a corner, bend or curve.

Isn't it obvious a Skyline beats a Supra in curves?

George, were the heck do you get this from: "A Supra has more understeer then a Skyline"

:odd:

This will be my last post in this "topic"

Just to clear things up, a Skyline eats a Supra in the curves but when they both come on a strait, the Skyline will pee in it's pants.

There you have it 👍

I'm a Supra lover all the way but you can't run away from the fact the Supra gets beaten by the Skyline in some categories...

Just wondering: How will both new versions do? :D

Cmon that's a cheap blow Leonidae......... lol

But back to the topic in fact the supra avg's slightly higher corner speeds than the GTR stock for stock. Yes the GTR handled better but because of lack of Tq and Hp it couldn't pull mid corner speeds fast enough. I recorded all my videos from the test as soon as I get another MD I can show it. With good throttle control the Supra sticks mid to exit like glue no wheel spin. GTR definitely pushes due to it's stock soft suspension. But maybe Dark Elite might show me otherwise.:)

Note: To the newbies reading this thread I'm not talking about the R34.

GT-R pushes only if one doesn't know how to utilise the drivetrains nature and weightshift. and since you used R33, which is the most understeery of all GT-R's, I don't wonder why you claim that. and if DE is busy, I, Squadrons Slowest will take his spot.

Sonizilla, the cars are, Toyota Supra 98' Vs. Nissan Skyline GTR R34 99' thats what the begining discussion was. If your going to be comparing the R33, of coarse the Supra is faster. IT'S NEWER! The inner, and exiting speed of the GTR is greater then the Supras. I've done the tests between the two cars. Straight line, Supra is fast. Around the twisties, the GTR is faster. 0-30 the GTR is faster, thanks to AWD. 0-60 was close but I think it was the Supra. I forget what the 1/8, and 1/4 was. But Im pretty sure that the GTR wins the 1/8, and the Supra the 1/4.

Uhh there is no 98 supra first off. Second the question was supra vs skyline.
To be fare the supra is a 97 the R33 is a 97'.
You have it backward the R34 is deff faster all around.
That's a no brainer. Were talking about the same year 97' 97'.

Please re read the thread before you post.
Thanks.....

Ahh don't give me that......
Wait aren't you the one who drove your oh beloved GTR 2 seconds off my GTR pace. I know what I'm talking about seriously please get off the GTR bandwagon. Seriously it's getting out of hand. I love the GTR but facts are facts. You guys love to find excuses for why this and why that. Car pushes it's AWD it sits taller stock and the suspension is soft stock than the RZ. Trust me I don't think you know how to utilize the GTR to it's fullest with those times you posted. Maybe you should ask me how I got 2sec faster than your times on DS2.

You said it yourself. you used DS2, whereas I used DFP, and with DFP it's impossible to go from lock to lock in 0.0xx seconds unlike in DS2.

yes, it's faster..ON STRAIGHTS! now, show me one straight that doesn't end up into a corner, bend or curve.

Yes but a race track has many straights where a Supra could pull away from a Skyline, a Supra could pull away enough so that it dose'nt get overtaken by a Skyline.

lol I know what you mean, but I still lap a little faster with DFP but I got so good with the DS2 it's not that much off. With the DS2 you could whip the GTR and shift it's weight slightly faster than DFP. I race cars in real life so I'm very familiar with various steering techniques thus still allows good shift weight balancing.

Do you have DFP 1 or 2? cause it's a big difference.

on straights, yes, but it needs long straight of Le Sarthe II, or test course to go 5mph faster than R34.

On Sarthe the Skyline reaches around 165, the Supra reached 181 Mph, not exactly 5 Mph is it?

DF G25 & DFP have 900* steering 2-1/2 times lock-to-lock.
DFAspec version didn't, I hope you don't have that one it's ice age.

Edit: Sorry I got confused forgot DFP . :dunce:

I need some coffee comp 8 got to me last night..

yeah, I have the DFP.. that stands for Driving Force Pro. :P the a spec is mere driving force I think
