Who else hates the Cape Ring?

Hate the track. So much. Worst ever fantasy circuit for me - the loop is gimmicky and for me suggests that Polyphony thought the course was bad too and needed something to jazz it up a bit. The inside of the course seems to exist for existence's sake, and the hilly section before the loop is nice - but stands out like a sore thumb. Overall, the course feels like three courses stuck together and given a bland environment.

Im in a select few that enjoy it then lol, I enjoy testing car setups on Cape Ring also just for the sheer enjoyment, humiliation and pleasure of this track joining a public server and watching people who have no concept on how to drive X2010's and FGT's and go barreling off left, right and centre is hilarity in its self :D

Not me, I enjoy It. Make sure to set a low amount of laps for the long version (I think the length turns people off). With such a long track memorizing it all can take longer, and for the most part people dont enjoy tracks they dont know well.

This track to me shows that Kaz played Modnation Racers.

I love Cape Ring Periphery minus the jump. I would lap that track all day if it weren't for that jump. The Periphery has really good flow and some challenging corners and if the jump was more of a subtle hump that it would get the car light just before the corner it would be an all around excellent curcuit, no leaving the ground nonsense.

I think it's got a nice variety of corners in it, and disagree about the flow - personally I think there's a couple of sequences that have a nice transition from one corner into another, into another.

Yeah, the whole ring thing is a bit gimmicky, but I can look past that, and as for the environment - I'm too busy watching the road

I like the Cape Ring North and Periphery. The other ones feel like they just threw some turns together and hoped it worked. And the long track is waaay to long for the amount of skill required to get fast lap times.

I really like it, just find the jump a bit daft. Remove that and it would be a 10/10 track.

Yes, even with the spiral/corkscrew.

i liked it from the first time i ran on it. at first i thought i was cheesy to copy turn 8 from instanbul but now i like it in there. for me its a fun track. i like the periphery track just a little but more than the main track. the periphery is faster, higher speed easier to mess up in.
the more tracks the better, ultimately.

I love it. Very technical track, without being annoying like Suzuka. Just a bit bland environment. Great track to really get to know a car well.

I like Cape Ring a lot and prefer racing there to say Nurburgring, though I would trade it for Midfield, Apricot Hill, and Red Rock Valley.

I agree, Cape Ring is a terrible track, but hidden within it are two absolute blinders!

Cape Ring Inside is a small and fast track that is good for some close racing.

and:

Cape Ring Periphery is raced anti-clockwise to the Regular Cape Ring (which doesn't have a reverse), and again, is a superb track.

i really like cape ring, in any variation, the hair pins get a little old but i like it, and i dont think its too long.

Yup, I hated that Istanbul complex in it on the first run, because I was reading it wrong. Turn, straighten, accelerate, brake, turn, straighten, accel, etc. Once I read it correctly, it's just one long arc, and just when you've got the flow, you have to slow for the kink. Changed the whole thing for me, and times started tumbling from there.

I really like it too, best bit is going fast into the chicane where it really tests your brakes.

I also like the way it looks, its clean and pure, beautiful sky and at the right angle you can see the rolling mountains in the distance.

I'd have to disagree with the OP, this was one of the tracks on Round 1 of the GT Academy here in the states.

At first, it was difficult and I was dreading having to do it. As weeks went by, I kept practicing on the Cape and because of that I memorized how to do each sector...as fast as I could!

Now every time I go on the Cape Ring it is like second nature!! It really is an EASY track once you've got the hang of it.
