Haven't watched in a really long time

I am addicted to the show... I sometimes host reasonably priced car events on GT5 with my friends.. Haven't done it in a while.. But since there is a NO TUNING restriction i can make it open to more cars.

They need to make series 18 soon it's been to long I used to watch it all the time every car they tested I would try to get

They have made Season 18... Its being aired here in Aus and we're already halfway through...

P.S, Be careful of multi-posting, a lot of people dont like it, including the mods....

GTP is not a chat room (though we have one). Please avoid double-posting - use the multi-quote function or the Edit feature instead.

Now, this thread can go back to the actual topic in the OP.

Amazing debate this :) I've tried getting into drifting in GT5 a few times, but I've not managed to get the hang of it yet... maybe I'll try an AWD car :D

OT:

-Yes, 4WD/AWD/FWD cars can drift. But no, it's not common to do so in any competitive setting: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Drifting_(motorsport)

-When someone creates a lobby, it's their rules. If they say only RWD, only RWD it is (they obviously don't have to be a **** about though). Would help if that was a restriction you could choose.

I'm surprised this thread is still going on after a long time. And yes, I agree with the statement in bold.

Wow still going lol totally agree. its ppl opion like Ferrari vs Lamborghini , Like AWD vs FR

Everyone has their own opinion & preferences and they should be respected. If we prefer RWD drifting, and not talking about the game, then let us do our own thing. Don't go calling us children and compare us to kids that play a stupid game.

So wait, you're telling me if people prefer RWD, I shouldn't care? Because its your game and your preference? Hmmmm I wonder why this doesn't apply to people who use AWD or FWD? Weird!

I hope you know I'm just arguing for the sake of arguing, don't get angry :P

Ya sure can, this is the shelter for those who are indifferent to choice of drivetrain, lot of room, nice music, and a nice clear view of the battlefield.

Preferably I like FR more. I can do so many tricks with it. 4WD, I'm not too cray. drifting with a 4WD is...weird.

I drift with R33 GTR back in the days of GT3, it was fun, but it needs a proper set up and most of my friend were surprised back then that an AWD could drift, good ol' days. If it's for fun, why not ? AWD, FR, FF, MR, RR, all can be drifted, and having a great tandem drift is all that matters to me

It is fun.. i have a racing mofied 9th gen evo and its a bit weird, cuz since it is an AWD car, u have to constantly steer into the corner to drift.

4wd drifting is really stuipid... as soon as i got to counter steer my car..( like your supposed to ) the car whips its way around because of gay a$$ 4wd and ruins my drift...

that and it just feels to slow and controlled when it does work... which loses my interest...

- "if your not entertained, get yourself a Blitz today!"

=)

That all may be fine and dandy but I have an issue with you statement about AWD being "gay ass". Some people may be offended reading that, so try to think of others next time and use proper language. Gay is not a substitute for stupid.

Thank you very much sir :D !

gay in that sentence is considered as happy... not gay as someone being gay...

i use gay as the old term happy... so i actually mean happy a$$ in that meaning that the car kinda does what it wants when you turn.. so its kinda hard to countersteer

Meant to say powersliding.

Don't mean to be an a** but honestly, and it's basically the truth, 4WD powersliding & FWD whatever it is that they do can't compare to RWD drifting. 1. Look at the professional events, FD & D1GP being the most famous ones, they're RWD only. 2. RWD cars look better & are way smoother when sideways. 3. AWD tandem is almost impossible, let alone FWD tandem which I've never seen attempted. 4. RWD requires more skill, throttle control & steering control. In AWD you don't need much throttle control because the front tires giving out power helps you to not spin out.

But GT5 isnt DG1P. Its more than that.
