Why people hate 4WD drifter?

Gymkhana has been around for decades. And in other forms (see auto testing).

They do their own thing, they just don't care about energy drink sponsors.

Well your looking at a FF drive drifter so what you think of that ? lol

We think your an Idiot and you should get out of here and stop spamming us with your fwd crap.

Edit: I was only joking, don't take it seriously. But please, don't try to act like a big boy.

Aha, I saw a Japanese guy in top 10 in drift trail in Rome. He had terrible understeer ( you can save his replay ). I got like 5000 points, not even gold, I entered backwards and had insane angle.

Fail lmao. FWD drift is possible but it is not really drifting in my opinion. Even Team Falken has a Honda Civic to drift with . But the RWD is much and much better and nicer . 4WD is OK, but I like 4WD just in Rally./

Honestly, what makes you two think that you're above everyone else and makes up the rules for drifting in GT5?

See my edit. But my real point is, you cant compare rwd drifting and 4wd "gymkhana" lets call it. As someone said on the last page, rwd is like balancing a broom on your finger, but 4wd you get to use your other hand to balance it aswell. They are all different classes, but no way could you tandem with a 4wd car. 4wd is a lot easier to drive, not just in a game, but real life too. I have driven all drive systems, and rwd is by far the hardest and most rewarding and fun.

I love where you're getting your assumptions from, pretty obvious the dude who drifts FF is obvious troll, one thing we don't like around here is trolls

So you think it's alright to make insults?

No, but when one does troll in the drifting forum most of us think it's completely fine.
Really?

......
Oh and thanks for calling me a great drifter by the way 👍
Please, get over yourself.

I'd love you keep arguing with you if you'd like, but the mods won't like us swaying the topic. Give me a PM anytime. 👍

Exactly my thoughts, and I'm not over myself by the way.

You gave me the compliment :)

Speaking of which, are there any proper 4WD drifters out there that would like to enter the discussion?

Sly edit you did there a few pages back Penguin ;)

Really.... so basically & indirectly this is an insult to all the Formula D & D1GP professional drifters.

It's ok... Stay with your 4WD car & slide with the help of the front wheels giving out power to keep you from spinning & going faster, it's like training wheels. 👎

Because Formula D and D1 is totally the basis for drifting. We must all follow that, right?

Also, I've never claimed to be an AWD drifter, and even if so, what's the problem with that again?

The one with your fantastic meme, where's the rant?

If Formula D and D1GP/SL/G1GP isn't the basis for drifting, what is then?

The rant you had, not the meme.

I just want to know how you question one member about the basis of drifting yet don't know the answer, just a bit odd IMO.

Sorry man, my brain's frozen, still not knowing which you're referring to.

If the rules for motorsports in general depended on what is considered to be a professional series, then there will be no variety.

So thinking now, there is no "basis" for "drifting," as it, in my opinion, is as vague a term as "racing."

I don't really get that last sentence, all I can convey from that is you're trying to say drifting isn't a professional motorsport and to you it's another vague term for racing?

This isn't making any sense.

EDIT: Mods should lock this sooner or later, I think it's gone far offtopic.

When people say "racing", they can be referring to all the different types of racing, oval racing, drag racing, rally racing, etc. In the same way that "drifting" can refer to RWD drifting, FWD drifting, and AWD drifting. It's merely a matter of preference.

Again, this is an opinion, so feel free to argue against it.

Ff is arse draging, 4wd is gymkhana and has stablisers. Rallying is rallying, oval racing is nascar, drag racing is drag racing. Racing does mean a variety, but as in gt300, gt500, f1, f3, you get my point. But drifting is far from racing. There is on racing in it at all. Its about accuracy, angle, smoke, and judges impressions. It is lightyears from racing. Did you ever see 1 near professional drift series/competition that allows other than rwd? Drifting was invented by keichi tsuchia (I think its spelled right), and he did a tutorial to drifting, and all cars were rwd. I'm sure if someone like yet came up to him, he would say the same as us, but as far as I'm concerned, rwd is the only drivetrain for drifting.

"FWD drifting".... Oh. God. :grumpy: Seriously.... This is a waste of time...

The beauty of RWD...

4wd drifting is easier, that's why its frowned upon. Done. Don't even respond.

Everybody should have the right to drift like they want.

There. Now will everyone STOP squabbling about who's right and wrong. Just because someone's different doesn't mean their wrong.

really? i thought this was over but i guess not... this thread keeps going to the same thing over and over again.... i guess no one is going to agree.. whatever i guess

Are you sure you know what you're talking about? Similar if not, the same things can be said about any other sport.

Then what about things like this? Regardless of his tutorial. Just bringing it up.

He was literally powersliding the car. It doesn't matter that it was Keichi doing it. Whether people want to admit it or not it doesn't compare to RWD drifting.
