Should be I imagine. That'll be a part of the show I probably fall asleep at.I'm waiting to see more details on Mario Maker, it definitely an insta-buy for me but I want some more answers that they've left out.
Hope it's shown at E3
Looks like we're on opposite ends then . I'll looking for every bit of detail in that game because it looks to be my game of the year .Should be I imagine. That'll be a part of the show I probably fall asleep at.
I'm amazed its even a full retail title although to be honest I've never been a fan of 2D mario.Looks like we're on opposite ends then . I'll looking for every bit of detail in that game because it looks to be my game of the year .
Does seem more like an app but I actually think if its marketed well, it could get a lot of buys. I don't even care if they charged me 1,000 bucks for the game actually , this has been my dream.I'm amazed its even a full retail title although to be honest I've never been a fan of 2D mario.
If Mario Maker has great sharing abilities for levels I will absolutely buy it, but (for various reasons) it is more likely Nintendo have made a mess of that aspect of the game. Really hope I'm wrong!I really wish Mario Maker had a music composition function, with accidentals and fewer limitations than in Mario Paint. I do find the concept appealing as an alternative to the LittlePatheticJumpPlanet series.
Shin'enMost people think that data size and the look and feel of a game are in a linear relationship. Beauty is not a function of data size. You can create beautiful worlds in 4kb that are hard to match by multimillion dollar games that are delivered on a 50gb optical medium. We tend to keep our data size small because it simply allows to have much quicker iteration time in our games development. Smaller downloads are also a big benefit for our customers. We don’t really think about how to make our games as small as possible, it’s more a natural byproduct of how we approach games development.
Another Excite Truck would be pretty rad but I'm sure Nintendo have ditched the racing genre outside of Mario Kart.Metroid!!!!!! I think there will be a 3DS and Wii U version, with the Wii U version being a return to the Prime series.(there is a bit of evidence to back up my theory) Completely agree with the animal crossing too.
I own that game! My wife and I are probably about halfway through it. It definitely has some similarities to older metroid games. I never thought I'd like a game like the Prime games, but once I played them, I was hooked. Nintendo did say a few months back they want to revisit both 2d and 3d metroid. The only thing is I'd assume the 3d would be on the console. The gamepad could be put to innovative use on that game.A Metroid game would be grand (unless it's 3DS only), but all I want for now is a date on XCX -- no later than September, please! Also, Shin'en said they'd share footage of FAST Racing Neo this month -- maybe during E3? Das wird spitze sein.
And hey, once Nintendo's presentation is over, the spotlight returns to Ian Bell and SMS to make their decision on PCARS.
On the subject of Metroid, it's kinda too bad that the console releases have established a precedent for 3D. I'd love a gorgeous HD Metroid game with Super/Fusion-style gameplay and moody lighting effects. I'm just not a handheld guy -- I've probably spent more time with off-TV play on the Wii U GamePad than the DS I bought from a garage sale a few years ago. The circumstances in which I would play a handheld are similar.
@Benny44 -- Since you're a Metroid fan, I recommend taking a look at Affordable Space Adventures if you haven't already. It's fairly linear in terms of exploration (and I wish it was longer), but it has a similar sense of isolation and an eerie atmosphere, with nifty physics-based puzzles that take full advantage of the GamePad touchscreen. It's also fun to play with a significant other.
