To each their own. Oh, so you've drag raced in real life, huh?I can't think of any form of motor racing that I want less than drag racing. I never even enjoyed it in real life.

Agreed with Post #15 from Strittan in response to 05XR8... are you nuts? Reaction time helping you determine what kinds of cars for you to race? Practicing reaction time should be a skill to master; not a gateway to faster cars. Hell, practicing your launch and reaction time should be something you should master with Standing Start races and Standing Start license tests.
The two real things that can be practiced for drag racing would be getting good reaction times and practicing making timely shifts. You have to try to get a great reaction time at launch while also knowing the right times to shift to get the most speed out of your car. Part of the reason why people don't like drag racing is because they don't generally care for the science and tactics of drag racing. It isn't about just going in a straight line. Then too, that's another thing about drag racing- trying to keep that land missile going cleanly down the strip can be like trying to wrestle a bronco or a bull. You have to try to make your car hook down the track even if you aren't getting too much grip. Speaking of grip, I wonder what it would be like if you had lane choice in a traditional drag racing tournament.
Just a lot of things to think about, especially for getting drag racing done right.
It's nuts because reaction time is not one bit relevant to how fast a car you can drive down the strip. How is it nuts? When you go to a proper strip, you are NOT in a Top Fueler first day. sorry! If you have the cash to buy an E63 AMG and wish to run at a track then fine. I agree. It's all about practice. BUT IN THE GAME AFTER YOU HAVE COMPLETED A TEST FOR A CHALLENGE, it seems fine to see how well you have done. Same can be said for drifting. You may think you're pretty good, then online someone has 10k more points than you and it's like what the? How'd they do that?
Reaction time can grant you use of a quicker car. As it stands, when you initially start GT5, you can't drive a Level 19 car in Simulation without reaching that level. Drive all you want in Arcade but not until you reach Level 19 in Sim MODE. Get the understanding? And the skill to master, there is no disagreement there. And isn't what I'm suggesting part of that science? It's also not about I'm going to hop in the HKS SKYLINE R33 and see how fast I can go.
They hinted it to be in both GT2 and GT3 but for some unknown reason it never made it. I've been hoping for a drag racing mode ever since.I'd love me some drag racing in GT6. They had a glimpse of it in what.. GT4? Then stepped away from it, which was a bit disappointing.
So now that we all know GT6 is coming this Holiday Season,(hopefully), I wanted to see what the Teams and Solo Drag Racers, want to do in the future of this Series.
I myself, am looking forward to driving the first Honda I can get my hands on
As far as the Team, well I dont know what will happen, but I assure you, you will still see R Spec Tune in the future.
I don't want to turn this into a wish thread, but if its anything like FM4 dragging then HELL :censored:ING YEAH hahaha
Any word yet as to whether or not it will be a PS4 or 4 title????
I'll drag in gt6, but after I do a lot of the a-spec races
I went to Gamestop this past weekend. The guy there said it will be available for both consoles, whenever the ps4 comes out.
I'll drag in gt6, but after I do a lot of the a-spec races

jspectoasterI just pray the nerds take a good 3-4 years to ruin it
