Fore the past 3 days Windows has been trying to install 3 updates when it powers off, but it seems it is not working and it is unsuccessfully trying to install them every time it switches off.

Having looked around a little on the internet I got this from a file "WindowsUpdate.log" Bold is the error coding if I am not mistaken? It repeats with lines more like this afterwards:

A check with the Windows Update Diagnostic tool shows errors but no fixes.

I am using 64 bit version of Windows 7 FYI.

EDIT: Currently consulting this for a potential fix? Any pointers? https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/958044

Which 3 updates are they?
KB numbers plz.

Some updates are not needed and redundant.

eg IE10 updates after you installed IE11.

This help? Can see it's constant failure to install :ouch:

Hmmm...If I were you I would restore it back to where you haven't installed the updates yet or I would manually uninstall the batch of updates by the date of install then redownload them and try to install them again.

Try tuning Windows updates off whenever I have windows updates and the computer turns off for the updates the computer will not turn off the screen will go black and the keyboard lights will still be on and you can still hear it I always have to go into safe mode to fix the issue.

My issue is just the updates never install. I'm trying a 500mb download from Microsoft called "Installing Hotfix for Windows (KB947821)" , if that doesn't work, would going into safe mode with networking and then downloading work maybe?

I don't know much about safe mode I only use it if I can't change anything else.

How many updates are there being installed simultaneously?

If it's more than one, try installing them one at a time, it's a bit annoying but most of the time this solves Win Update issues.

Those 3. Tried manually installing via start and windows update but soon as a reboot still says failed.
