Mitsubishi Team Ralliart Press Release:

Team Ralliart has announced the drivers for the 2013 FIA World Rally Championship and has issued a team photo.

A spokesman for Ralliart has stated that the driver Aesys has gone on record, saying that he was "optimistic about Mitsubishi's chances of capturing the Constructor's Title."

Did you hit any planes while that high? You definitely overtook me while airborne. I doubt your car's suspension still works.

I cant believe I landed straight! I discovered Toscana/Reverse yesterday. Everytime I landed my steering wheel would 'blow out' and the car would immediately spin out of control :sly: That jump in reverse is the greatest thing in GT5 though :D

In the Time Trials, you had to go slower than fourth gear in our Evo Super Rally, just to finish the lap. If you went any faster, the lap time would go red; invalid. But, I say again, in that exact car (Lancer Super Rally car) I was able to run the #170 time in the world. The fact that you kept up, was absolutely astonishing!

Also, you REALLY need to try to run more tracks in reverse. Madrid reverse is fun with Aussie V8s/F1/Touring cars (if everyone is a clean driver,) and I find most of the old PD original creations (Tokyo etc.) fun in reverse too!

To this, I say thats pretty lame. Some kind of height limit or something? Boo, lol

To this, I say wicked!

As long as the other 169 people neglect to sign up for this event, we're in the clear :)

Heheh, your PSN name was familiar. I thought you were up there with me, too. You're fast enough.

It took me about an hour, to tune the car, and drive it about well enough.

And, finally, thanks man. :gtpflag: =)

OK, I have not made any progress with that promotion video (it's hard to find a clip that does not involve crashing, jumping, drifting, or poor camera angles  ) but I'm hoping to make a short test rally in August or September :)

Remember, as we're basically fighting for 4 championships (works/constructors, drivers (in works cars), independents, and now JWRC as well) you may also sign up for those :) all it changes is that Independents will drive in their very own league :)

So, I see the 1.6 liter FF car restriction in the JWRC thing. I think that the Hyundai Tiburon (Tuscani Elisa) is a 1.6, and I know it's FF. I want to find that one excuse to drive a Hyundai in this game, considering my history with Hyundai.

Also, I'd really enjoy running a test rally in August. :)

So true lol. Someone is posting Eurosport's coverage of the '12 season but there's a lot of commentary, idk if you can use that. Lot of good rallying though

Does GT5 not have the 03 Accent Rally Car? I know 4 had it.

Also, August would be fantastic for a test rally, but that's because I'm really excited. :dopey:

I remember that. It was 4WD and was competitive against the Lancer Super Rally car. THAT'S UNACCEPTABLE. I'm not competing against myself.

HAHA! 👍 Amen to that. Looks like the Tiburon's the answer. :sly:

I havent even decided if I'm going to run in a second class or devote all of my time to Ralliart. However, one of these 💡 popped up. I believe the CRX is a 1.6 as well. I rallied that beast in real life as a privateer at the Olympus rally 4 years ago and 'experienced' a tree at 85 mph. Great car though.

You're a real racer? And real rally driver? Lol I recon you will win this then (unless you crash again ;) ) :)

Adding to the Hyundai Accent discussion: HOPEFULLY PD will release it as DLC along with some newer and classic rally cars (e.g. Citroën "controller" [DS3 if you get it  ] and Audi Quattro S1). Now I'd buy that DLC, note that PD 👍

Also, as it's now a tie between JWRC and a production class, both are possible, what do you think could add more interest?

So, THAT's why you were able to keep up with me, at Toscana reverse. I knew you were fast. I just didn't know that you had that racing experience. 💡 Jeez, it's like the whole competition just got more intense.

Was a real racer lol. I have parts of my CRX sitting in my back room but thats it. Racing is the greatest thing in the world but also, a lot of time and money was lost in .002 seconds lol. Not cool. The life of a privateer :sly: I live 30 miles away from a former US WRC rally. They still race there, the RANC has finally returned as well. However, at Olympus, if you show up with a car with a good cage, a fire extinguisher, and helmet, you're in :) I was racing the the FWD Am class. Did good the first year in 07, but never won a stage. The next year I lost my car. Of course I'm trying to go back. :D

On Topic: I would like to vote for JWRC. I'll dual class so I can race my 'Rocket'

*imagining* the lamps over the tables are the headlights, the watch on the wall is the tacho, and the showerhead (or what you call it) is you exhaust :D that house could be fun to see :)

You live 30 miles from a former US rally? *cough* lucky you *cough* I'm like 300 miles away from the closest WRC rally :( I did however stand marshall for a rally in the danish championship last year I think :dopey:

haha no, most of it is in boxes(suspension), engine's in a crate. You're the lucky one, getting to see a real WRC event. The last time the WRC came to Olympus was 1982, which coincidentally is the last time the WRC visited the States :( I wasn't even born.

Never seen a real WRC :( it's part of my wishlist :)

I just created a Tuning Garage; goal number 1: avoid giving people a tune that they could use to beat me. Goal number 2: help the community. :)

However, in saying that, I'll surely be spending a lot of time fiddling with our cars. The Lancer I use is decent, but I think there's still a TINY bit of room to give.

Congrats on the garage! 👍 I agree with you on the Evo though, I dont know your setup, I'd certainly like to share tunes. Someone has ran 3:30 on the K trail, which seems nearly inhuman, didn't catch the car he was in.

Truthfully, for me tuning a rally car is difficult, I can never tell if the changes in lap times are because of the tuning, or fluctuations in my driving. Frankly I get it well enough for me to accelerate with an iron hammer without losing control and call it good :P

Which could actually, surprisingly, hurt lap times on an uphill course. I've grown up reading millions of articles about the Evos, and their AYC systems and such. I even have the Evo X brochure on my bedroom wall, beside my karting medals. In case of a house-fire, I'm grabbing my cat, my medals, and that brochure. However, I won't discuss the details of my tune here. The tuning secrets I use in my Lancer are too applicable to other 4WD cars.

Hey rallymorten, I've been thinking lately. I have a few rally cars in my garage that I dont use at all, I just collect them. I could put them all up for free trade just to help someone get in a car that they want to race in, but don't have it, cant afford it, etc. Its your call but maybe you could put a note in your OP basically saying free cars for signing up lol.

Here's the list of what I have currently:

Lancer EVO VI Rally Car '99
Stratos R.C. '77(I dont think we're using that car though.)
Delta HF Integrale R.C. '92
Corolla R.C. '98
Celica GT-Four R.C. '95
Impreza R.C. '99
Impreza R.C. '01
Impreza R.C. '03

Not that much but I'm always picking up more. Just trying to help anyway I can :)

EDIT: Forgot to ask earlier, is there a weight minimum and power limit in the JWRC? Or are we just rolling out whatever 1.6L FF car that we want?

My tuning garage will supply tunes to anyone who requests it for this series.

Heh, you're the same as me then, whenever there's a rally car in the dealerships I buy it :) I'll update OP in a moment

So you'll know what setup we have and we can only guess yours? Great idea ;)

Nah, I actually post most of my competition tunes up too, if anyone requests it. I openly discuss the tuning setups. Well, I won't do it with the Evo Super Rally Car, though, because it's TOO GOOD. It's one of the best Evo Super Rally tunes out there.

Ok, maybe we'll have to change strategy a little. Seeing as works and independents don't make enough drivers to be separated, here's the new idea:

World Rally Class will consist of both works and independents:

Citroën Total
BP Ford
Subaru W.R.T.
Suzuki Motorsport
Mitsubishi Ralliart
Peugeot Sport
are works teams, the rest is for independents.

And before/after the WRC, a room for support categories (JWRC and PWRC) will be up and running the same stages.

I'll add this to first post later (I'm using app now)

Okay. Sign me up in a support class too please.

I'll be looking at specs, to see, but perhaps the Hyundai Tiburon (the newer model.)

I'd like to enter the JWRC as well. I'm going to enter in the '90 Honda CRX. Meets all regs, FF, 1.6L, weight and power. She's pretty fast. Kept up with some noobish guy driving the C4 WRC car lol. Should be fun :D

EDIT: Also, I'm about 40% complete on the stages for Rally Japan. I dont want to do them all though, since I'm having prior knowledge of the stages before the Rally. That being said, I've been using Mt. Aso for the stages, and Tokyo Bay(Kart) for the Super Stages(fantastic SS's btw 👍)

I also wonder if the number of rallyes might need to be cut down as well to avoid repetitiveness. Obviously we can make something out of the 3 tracks GT comes with and their variations/reverse but still, 3 rallyes. Then we could use the 5 different course creators; Liege, Alaska, Toscana, Eifel, and Mt. Aso. Make themed rallyes out of each location. Maybe mix some together for variation? Now that I just think about it, it'd make sense to combine the course maker Toscana tarmac stages in with GT's Toscana gravel track.

Overall, just my .02. Stuff thats been on my mind lately. I've been daydreaming about this series a lot :P

I might take a spot in PWRC too. However, I don't see anymore of the JWRC specs, asides from 1.6 & FF. What's weight? What's HP? Is it the WRC class but, limited to FF?

Basically yes. I'll specify when on pc.
