I tested using a DS3 with sensitivity 7, automatic transmission, ABS1, Driving Line and grip real.
Gave all cars at least 20 laps. (a couple got a few extra as I had issues with them but knew they were good for a little better time.)

Decent speed and very easy to handle with the two sweepers both being especially nice. While I wouldn't exactly call it understeer I just couldn't get the car to rotate through the hairpins as fast as I'd like. As with my own car getting position for the S curve coming out of the tunnel is critical. Enter it right and you can go full throttle to the top, but if your just a bit off you'll need to lift off slightly to avoid either understeering into the mountain or else having the rear break free. Overall a very good tune that feels solid and composed at all times. For my tastes it lacks a bit in the Zing factor, feels more suited to running longer races where ease of driving is more important than nailing the absolute fastest Hot Lap.

Thank goodness krenkme decided to have fun and tune the flower child's camper otherwise we would all be in trouble! This thing absolutely devours the first sector with its hairpins knocking nearly half a second off my best split with the "FireStar" despite being slower down the hill to the first corner. Also carries great speed through the sweepers that only a couple other cars can match. Indeed if this was just a long downhill Touge I'm not sure you could beat this Scooby Mobile. Unfortunately there's the long climb back to the top and that's where it loses out as it struggles up the mountain. Fantastic tune and a blast to drive, just wish it had more umph on the uphill leg.

Good job of taming the notoriously tail happy bimmer for the most part. Stable and quick through the first sector but things go a bit south after that. Finding the perfect balance of braking, throttle and speed to keep the rear in check through the sweepers is a major challenge. The S curve after the tunnel can also prove tricky to negotiate at full throttle if your line isn't nearly perfect. I had to put in a half dozen extra laps just to get the time I did. Considering some of the Shootouts restrictions I doubt anyone could have done better with this car. It's just a little to prone to wagging its tail in stock form. Overall not a bad tune but for me at least, I found you had to work to hard for the final result to really be able to enjoy it.

I really wanted to see this classic Italian beauty do better. Unfortunately a lack of grip plagues it with the S curve being the worst. It's straight line speed makes it a match for my "FireStar" but the overall lack of grip prevents it from seriously competing for top honors. This was another car I had to give extra laps too so I could find the 21s and I almost didn't succeed. Only a nearly perfect pass of the S curve and managing to nail the final turn got me there. Was to busy fighting for my life to be able to really enjoy driving the car.

Grip, grip and more grip! Unless I was being really stupid I never had to worry about what the rear was doing. The fact that it stays so solidly planted means it is much more forgiving of the lines you run. While not necessarily the quickest car over any one sector and not quite as fast as some others, the total package and its forgiving nature adds up to a true contender for the title. If I have any small complaint it's that the car feels a bit tight in the first sector. But that's very minor and the way it will run nearly any line desired on the rest of the track more than makes up for it. This is a car that inspires confidence in a driver that he can keep pushing it harder and harder as it refuses to get unsettled. Great job as always AC!

Plenty of speed and great stability through the sweepers and S curve just can't quite make up for the understeer through the hairpins. Slowest car I've tested so far through the first sector. It spends the rest of the lap making a valiant effort to catch up to the rest of the field and almost succeeds. Despite the issues in the first sector it remains an engaging drive. Get it to actually rotate when taking the hairpins and it could be a threat to the leaders.

Well after adjusting the ride height and resting the transmission to default on the shared car I was finally able to perform valid testing on this entry. It has better rotation through the first sectors hairpins than Newdriver2's but lacks a touch of the grip and ease of driving in the sweepers and through the S-curve after the tunnel. The looser feel of the car makes it a bit more entertaining for hot lapping but not a car you'd want to run in an extended race where consistent easy laps are more important. Getting the proper line through the sweepers and S-curve is much more critical and difficult than with Newdrivers but as the lap times show if you can get them right its improved rotation in the first sector can give it a slight edge in a hot lap. Overall it is a very good tune though the gearing is possibly a bit longer than is called for, though it probably helps to reduce wheelspin in 2nd and 3rd gear corner exits. Think if you could combine the nice rotation of this tune through the first sector with the better grip of Newdrivers on the faster portions and better gears this car could be a real contender for the top spot. As it is we have two different but very nice tunes that just barely miss getting the most out of this cars potential.

Very smooth easy to drive car, though the extra bounce after the jump was a bit disconcerting at first. As a classic cruiser this is possibly the best of the lot, but as the time shows its not a hotlap machine. Handling was good on all stages though the two sweepers proved to be its downfall for not getting a more competitive time. On those two corners it wanted to hang the tail out a touch if your speed and line weren't perfect and even the slightest loss of traction in the rear cost it both speed and acceleration out of the corners. The exit from the last of the hairpins could also prove a bit tricky but not nearly as costly most times as the sweepers. Again overall it was a very enjoyable drive just needed to show a bit more rear grip in the sweepers and be able to maintain a better pace there to be truly competitive. That said it provided the kind of easy relaxed driving that would make it a joy to drive for extended periods of time.
XDesperado67 Mazda Cosmo Sport (L10A) '67, "FireStar" 1:20.743 1/5
Very fast and nimble. It takes a bit of finesse to coax the best out of it but the time speaks for itself. Not as forgiving as ACSRs car so you have to pick your lines a bit more carefully. But in return you get a very direct feel of both the car and track that is both exciting and challenging. Like many extreme sports its finding that fine line between success and disaster that will have you pushing for the limits with this car.
You'll need a bit of finesse through the sweepers or the car will enter a drift and the S curves require a good setup and entry to take at full throttle. Get it all right and its a huge rush, get it wrong and there's an ambulance at the bottom of the mountain waiting for you.

Excellent drive, very smooth and easy going. Great rotation through the hairpins, flawless handling up the hill through the S-curve, only a very slight tendency to slip the rear out on the sweepers keeps it from near perfection. Only car I've tested that could really match lap times with my "FireStar". Lacks a bit of the "FireStar's" speed but makes up for it with its smooth fluid handling. Great tune.
