I think the f430.. there is not enough(could be just a little bit more) speed in the gtr on straights.

if you can tame it the F430 is the car to have
weapon of choice with most of good JP/KR/HK drivers this afternoon

I honetly prefer the F430 due to weight transfer feeling I think, but I really don't know on which points the GT-R is better. I've seen great oponent driving a GT-R and making me the race hard sometimes haha

The GTR has the off the line advantage aswell as starting ahead of the f430's but the f430 in the right hands tends to be quicker.

[edit] I should be on for a few races now.

GTP_Beerz, I'm so sorry about those 2 little hits on the interior while passing, I did stupid errors. Due to that I let you your position after the hit because I did a big mistake. My fault u_u

Just had one of the best races ever!!!
Nobody out at turn 1, everyone went smooth and fast, then awesome racing until the end.
Braking for the final chicane was 3-wide: me on the left, jackstanley on the middle and edebert on the right. Just awesome!

Take it easy mate 👍, I also hate when people from my same country ruin my races... it's a shame, but we are all not made of the same wood.
Yeah, of course I know not everyone from Spain and France are dirty drivers, it was more a figure of speech. :sly:

No problem, I saw you tried to avoid but had nowhere to go from that point.
Plus, I managed to keep the car on track (it was tricky), and even ended up winning that race.
And thanks for having waited. 👍

Am I the only one who suffer a bit of delay when pressing the X button at the moment to join into a race? It only happens to me when I left the controller so much without touch. For example, if I'm waiting like 6 mins for the next race without touch the controller, when I press the X to join the next race it's like a 2 seconds delay..

Thats it for me fellows, dinner and a movie awaits....:dopey:
Thanks for the enjoyable races.
See you bjmels !!

I get that also. Annoying.

Thanks mate !, with which controller do you suffer it, SIXAXIS or DUAL SHOCK 3?

Ah okey, I was afraid of my new controller because I imported a white DUAL SHOCK 3 from Asia the last week and I was thinking it was a fault of the controller.

I've checked that it doesn't get delay with the LEFT or RIGHT buttons of the D-Pad, it's just with the X, so it should be like a delate due to the game interface to connect after a few minutes of no race.

It is the game mate as I get it with six axis DS3 and G25 and like you say only X button. Here is what i do, If you leave it longer than say ten mins, and there is a race coming up and you are worried you will get the delay, join one a minute early, then cancel during player matching. Then you will have no delay for the proper race. 👍

God, who was driving that gray GT-R that was in the middle of the straight before the 130R on the xx:48 race? He was from side to side of the straing and all we lost the control with that, the last thing I remember before the host disconnection was my car doing round & rounds due to the lost of control and Timpaqq on the other side, he should be astouned of my rounds haha

Yeah, that was crazy. I was coming up behind all that and all I could see was tyresmoke.

Watch out for vetech[GB] he likes to brake early

ie. halfway down straights and when anyones behind him

A shorter solution I'm still checking is to enter to the car settings menu (where do you select Driving Line ON/OFF and so on) and exit it, a few seconds before the moment in which you like to press X to join to a race. It has worked the 2 or 3 times that I've done it, but I'm still checking..

Thanks Beerz, for giving the win to me. Again, a stupid mistake at spoon, just like earlier today. :ouch:

Gah, I need a bit of practice to get used to the f430 and R1's but I will get there. Good racing guys

No problem, that race was yours easily without that one mistake. 👍

hyperuk - Some races are just impossible, huh?:)

I'm getting a bit (ok, very) frustrated with this event.
Choosing an F430 means I have to start at the back of the grid (why? why? why's that?), meaning all races have to be done from the back, trying to reach the top positions.
The fact that most people who can't drive to save their lifes (along with many that are just plain dirty) choose the F430 as their car for this event is also beyond me, but it usually means that if I can get to the hairpin without being thrown off the track at least once, the leaders usually have a healthy lead. If they're good racers, like Racer_LP or hatton-jp (Japanese guy), it's next to impossible to reach them if they don't make mistakes.

Also, I'd like to add that on turn 1, when I'm braking for it and see these people not even bothering with the middle pedal, only thing I can think of is stuff taken from movies where people get tortured beyond their worst nightmares...

I know what you mean mate, I have given up in there for today and am having fun offline, Just improved my time in the golf round London. and managed a top ten in the Clio round Suz east. much more fun than gettin punted left right and centre. 👍

Checked: it doesn't works.

Three races in a row I get punted in the final corner coming to the start finish. Dropped from 2nd or 3rd I around 7th. Ugh.

its because the Ferrari has a higher PP

GTR 637PP
Ferrari 646PP

GTP_Luxy, that's the best racing I've had in a long time. Thanks for being so clean and tolerating my repeated moves to the inside.

Great to see GTP_Earth, Chadwicks, GTP_Vaxen, many, many others out there. Too bad about the punting and disconnects-I really wasted a lot of time today just waiting around for scheduled race starts, only to have my race blown in the first minute.

Not that I didn't stuff it all by myself on numerous occasions, and I missed more :24 races than I made. I always seem to start on :26. Not smart!

Yeah, there is alot of problems with this event.

The GT-R has superior handling and acceleration from low speeds

The F430 has better brakes (maybe just lighter) and a much higher top speed.

That creates a odd balance.

I kind of understand their decision to start the F430s from back, because it's next to impossible to pass one piloted by a good driver unless he makes a mistake, because the top speed of the F430 is far superior to that of the GT-R. I've had F430s come from 6 car lengths back on one of the straights to pull along side me but I have a tough time pulling along side one when I'm right on the bumper of a F430 coming out onto a long straight. It takes time to set up a pass when you have to rely on handling, and 3 laps isn't enough.

As Beerz said if a good driver in a GT-R starts out front and gets into the lead after turns 1 and 2 it's probably over for everyone else unless he makes a mistake. Today I was racing Superwally, I started first, and by the time he cleared 2nd place I was 6 seconds in the lead. That wasn't fair to him. Only way to resolve this is some sort of qualifying before the race.

That's why the RBE is a necessary evil with these 3 lap sprints, without it the GT-Rs up front would dissappear into the sunset or stay a distant spec, now you can catch them with equal drivers if they're only 2-3 seconds ahead.

Still though if you survive until after the hairpin your usually in for a good race, unless you're racing some of the nastier drivers...
