Last night I tried your setup, but I think the gear ratios are too short (is it correct to say "short"?), because on finish line the car reaches its speed limit, and also it requires to do more gear changes than other setups.power +9

Example from chicane to finish line:
California: 2, 3, 2, 3, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6.
GT-R: 2, 3, 4, 3, 2, 3, 4, 3, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6.
and all these gear changes imply a waste of time, do you understand me? or what I'm saying is the stupidest thing you've heard?
Well, I dont belive that I have much chanse with my R8 to hang on GT-R now..
Maybe I should dream about a RS6 MTM or Evo, or something like that?

Short gearing for 2nd and 3rd is the GTR dirty little secret Liz.
I don't understand your question. To clarify, the short gearing for the GTR helps this FAT PIG get out of the corner faster. Is it an new race to day?

I join in 30 min 👍
Hope to see more f430's And not that drifting GTR....

I mean, if some one here should play online to day... btw never mind
There is always someone here with the schedule listed on the race event man. I'll be here later on today.
I know...
Oh, this was a very hard race, I think I will play on the easier ones, it's difficult to drive with a dual-shock-control haha
Here is a small sample of tonights action. Sorry about the quality but its only a phone! Watch for the skillful takedown at turn 3 lap 3
I understand, don't worry.
Does it reach top speed with or without draft? I rarely draft so i don't know..If it reaches top speed at free run and hits the limiter of 6th then i must have done a mistake.
As for the gear ratios they are short (correct word to use) on purpose. That way you take advantage of the sliding acceleration out of a corner,or ''the bug'' as it is known. The way to do it is,slide with 2nd gear at the exit of a corner by pressing the gas a little earlier than you should, and while sliding ,change to 3rd as soon as 2nd hits the limiter, then let it rev untill 7k rpm and then 4th..I hope you understand.
P.S. I have a worry because maybe the final gear i wrote is shorter and then you are right on both your points. I'll check and tell you.
Piket, i tryied your setup last night.
I think it's just fine 👍.
Your gearing is nice if you don't draft (if you draft, you hit rev limit 50 meters before brakes...).
Maybe you need a better tune and more practice. You should go to the tuning section of GTPlanet. There are a lot of tune there to help you with your quest to be more competitive. It had helped me quite a bit. Here's the link https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=192 good luck and don't forget the most important thing. HAVE FUN!!!!
