I was just threatened by an 11 year old to give him a hacked car or he'll spam my inbox and kick me from the lobby. :ill:

Spammed, yes. For a short while. Until I blocked him.

Kicked? nope, almost everyone in the lobby swore at this kid.

^Trolling and tormenting little kids is my hobby, I love coming across them in lobbies and hearing their tiny voices crying about stupid stuff like unrealistic rim colors on my MP4-12C.

Isn't it funny when you hear them say your going to fast and then they kick you for being fast. I get mad then laugh my ass off.

Unrealistic rim colors? How? What color is "unrealistic" by their definitions?

Racing this guy online, and beat him. Claims it's no fair, even though he cut across the chicanes (I ignored that bit). He then set the HP limit from 450ish to 700, just so he can use the car he can quote "Smoke you in, haha."
So I win that race, fairly easily. He get's upset and tells me to drag race him. I don't "drag" I tell him - I prefer lap times. He gets annoyed at this, calling me "scared" and saying "you're just scared you're going to get owned"

I laughed a bit, then left the lobby. I got 2 messaged from him after that. him calling me all sorts of names and what not.

Ah, the wonderful online community...

I kicked a dumb:censored: from one of the cops lobbies (Not sure if you were there) as the previous hosts got disconnected. He was breaking all the rules and being generally annoying. Once he gets kicked, he spammed my inbox with messages. The subject.... get this.... "umad"

+1 for originality! Gold star for you, sir!

I personally get sick of joining chill-out drift lobbies, and then there's people ramming you, intentionally.

Or just drift lobbies and everyone stays in the pits -.-

I dont get it.. I joined a room 15/16, (full when I joined) and ALL OF THE PLAYERS WERE EITHER IN THE PITS OR MAIN MENU.

Tried having 10 or so shuffle races tonight.

- Every single race I would get an inferior car, particularly on the straights.
- Every race I made my way to the front.
- Every race, people who lack the understanding of braking, or the racing line belongs to the guy in front, would dive bomb from 20-30ft back and push me wider, wider and wider, until I crunch the outside wall, get a penalty with damage, and send me down to last.

Ended up rage quiting, had enough of people who drive like that and then have the cheek to say "Good race Lewis". Takes the absolute piss. Learn how to drive and use the brakes/lay off the accelerator when enterting a corner, or when someone is making a clean pass around the outside.

If you're going to be a moron in that respect, at least wait and hand the position back, don't carry on as if nothing happened, you full well knew what you were doing. One person is bad enough, but when 3 or 4 people enter a usually great racing room and do it just to you, because you keep making your way to the front in an inferior car, makes me livid. Had enough.

I hate people who cut corners on top gear test track I only do it because its the only way to win if someone does it before or x2010s

Just happened in a trading lobby...

One of my friends was talking to a person about trading them a Supra. The host had been asking for a Supra beforehand but had nothing to trade back for it. In responce, as my friend and the other person were about to add each other, the other person happens to "disconnect", as the host puts it.

A short while after, the host asks my friend for the Supra and the following takes place;

Friend: Do you know what Texas A&M is?

Host: yes

Friend: Do you know what an Aggie is?

Host: no, whats that

Friend: an Aggie is someone who doesn't steal, lie, cheat, nor tolerate anyone who does. Why did you kick my friend?

-The host says nothing-

Friend: Tell my friend you're sorry or you're not getting this car.

Host: im sorry(he writes this in the textbox)

Friend: You have to private message him...

-Host disconnects, never reenters the room-

Yeah, it sucks when you're caught lying...

The worst experience i had recently was in a room i was hosting.

We were using one of my eifel tracks created in course designer and using RMs and TCs.

I was using my XR8 and a friend was using the CLK Touring Car. He was faster, but due to his early mistake, i was in the lead with him gradually catching up.

There were 6 others on the track racing cleanly and fairly, all of whom had been racing in my room without any issues. This particular race, 2 newbies had joined and it wasn't long before i was being informed of their dirty tactics. I was asked by 3 people to kick them after the race, which i agreed to do.

4 laps into the 7-lap race, i noticed the suspect had parked on the grass on the main straight, so i thought, "Okay, that's fine as long as you're staying out of the way, there's not a problem." Laps 5 and 6, he was still parked there, so i thought nothing more of it and turned my attention to the narrowing gap between my friend and i.

On the final lap, my friend was catching up quickly. I had somewhat preserved my tyres, so was fully focused on nailing everything..every braking point, every gear shift, every apex, etc. Coming down the back straight, he was now hot on my tail. I was going to try my best to defend my position for the last 3 corners. It was shaping up to be an epic battle and i was looking forward to saving the replay and watching it again.

Anyway, i'm coming down the back straight at 300 kms an hour keeping an eye on my friend in my vision mirror and preparing to enter the kink and hit the brakes for the chicane similar to that of Bathurst, when suddenly, out of nowhere, i see bright headlights glaring at me. I had absolutely no time to react because within a fraction of a second, i, along with my friend, were rammed head-on by this F.....t driving the wrong way!

This F.....t who i was about to kick completely caught me off guard and ruined what was shaping up to be a photo-finish. What an anti-climax! Words cannot describe how angry i was over that.

Soo i make a cruising track at Toscana when you come out of the pits there is a .998 mile straight followed by a sereis of very complicated turns but they are all embanked at 10 you can take every turn at 90+ at the end of these turns there is another 1 mile straight and then 2 very wide turns before entering on the main straight again( this course took 6+hrs to design and get right lots of test drives)

After I finish my hard work i start a Cruise lobby invite 3 friends to join 2 of them join and after a while we had 12 people

we are all cruising some in race cars, other in muscle, and a few in every day cars

I bring out my 458 italia with a nice cruise tune on it ( very loose suspension, sport tires, short tranny)

I am going around and around until this guy joins
He blacks out the whole track and everyones car i go to kick him and it kicks me
I rejoin through a friend and somehow this guy is magically host
he is constantly changing the cours and settings so nobody can drive
when he mutes someone it mutes that person for the whole lobby
everytime we call reject we almost all get kicked

I had to start a new lobby and most people wouldn't join again

The hacking is fun for the high hp but dont be an @$$hole keep it in free roam lobbys where everyone is hacking and dont try to race regular cars there was no excuse for what this guy did

I pm'd him later and asked why he said it was because 458 wasnt cruising car

My biggest issues with online racing are etiquette issues. People that insist on going 3 wide instead of pulling up to ghost. People that wait too long to ghost.

Excuse me, but in what situation are we expected to ghost? I know 3 doen't go into a corner, but that just means someone has to yield and slot in behind the adjacent car. What does ghosting have to do with that?

Personally, the first thing i did when mapping the controller/steering wheel was set ghost to none. So i never ghost, nor do i expect anyone else to do so. In fact, i think ghosting to drive through people is wrong. It's bad enough when Sony does it for ya, albeit unreliably!

Drag racing. People use going ghost as the "green light". Two people side by side, and a third should be infront and then he ghosts to indicate the green light, but often in unorganised lobbys people will just line up 3 or 4 wide insted of "ghosting" so that two people can drag.

Well, not as spectacular as the stories above, but it made me feel like "W*beep*F?!".
I was in a room just casually going around the Nordschleife, 4 or 5 people were in it I guess.. then more people entered and I couldn't understand it completely (bad chat sound quality) but they started bitching about some traded or 'hybrid/hacked'(?) cars.. after a while I was kinda getting annoyed with the fighting and I asked them to take their crap elsewhere. I could have asked it more politely I guess, but I was really really annoyed.
Anyway, seconds after I hit confirm on sending the message, they were like "if you don't like it just F* off" and "yeah F* off" ... crap like that and I was kicked from the room... :ill:

If you have a problem with someone, take it out with them in private, not publicly online, that really ruins the atmosphere of a room and the enjoyment of others, but that's just my opinion.

Agreed. Truely the biggest 🤬 on GT5. No wonder ADR died.

Might wanna mark out the name....

Mine was when I was testing out my 1400HP Datsun Z, in a Indy Drag racing room, when someone driving a Mercedes crashed into me and the other people non-stop. He was eventually kicked, rightfully so too.

I'm starting to wonder if I should give up drifting altogether and just focus on circuit tuning...

Joined a drift lobby way late last night to work on a setup for my S2000 project. Track was Daytona Road Course (???). Odd, choice, but I decided, what the heck, I'll try it.

Messing around in the first half of the course, working on finding a decent setup to counter the low torque for the thing. Was doing fine until this 'team' showed up in the lobby. All had mics on, and were generally yelling swearwords whenever they came up on someone who was 'in their way.' And all were probably under 12 years of age.

I somehow did this (I generally enter turns very slow compared to others, mainly because I focus on angle rather than speed) and got punted off of the track, all the while being cursed out by these three kids.

The host was afk, and despite me and the other guys in the room trying to get them to leave, at one point they eventually came out in the 100k HP X1's and tried to wreck us to make US leave.

Host comes back, sets the PP limit to 600, and comes out in a Mustang. The kids challenges me to a race, one lap around. They come out in a Weider HSV-010, Calsonic GT-R '08 and a '97 Toyota Supra CASTROL. I switch to my default standby when called to race - the Amuse S2000 GT1 '04.

1v3, Super GT vs uber track car. They all jumped off the line by half a second - but they crashed into each other entering the first turn, letting me pass. The next tight turn, two try to divebomb and wreck me, and they both miss when I brake a lot more than I should have, because I knew they'd try doing that.

Came around to the finish line with about a 3-second lead - and get kicked for not drifting. One of the other drivers in the room later messaged me that they were friends of the host...

The bad part? I had relatives over, and my mic died about halfway through the lap, and I had to quick jump up, bash my leg on the table, and grab the remote to mute the TV. Ridiculous.

He jumps by .500 seconds on the countdown, and tries to cut through the grass

One of the first things I do when I join a room. Check if they're afk, and if they have any affiliation with misbehaving players. I don't mind children, but it's in cases like these where I quit before things escalate.

I didn't type the name, only responded to an older post.

Right now, it's constantly getting kicked for no reason, probably because I'm not from were most of the people who are in the lobby's country. It's very annoying when all that I'm trying to do is find a good driving room :\
