Worst you've dealt with online...

A temper impaired player online was ranting at me because, well, he kept losing to my Acedemy GT-R to his Veyron on Daytona. Mouthing off, ignoring most of it, I hear him say;

"GO BACK TO SCOTLAND AND SEARCH FOR THAT GOD DAMN LOCH NESS MONSTER YOU A**-HOLE!!!"

Quickly after the player leaves.

Anyone else see something wrong with this?

The foul language. :P

I was having a really good race in Nurburgring in a five lap race. I ran close second through the first four laps. In the last lap I took the lead and I was one second ahead of 2nd and about four seconds from 3rd. The guy that was in second had been leading through most of the race and in the last turn he took me out, he didn't attempt to break, he didn't even try to make the turn. :banghead:What the hell is wrong with these people? He didn't even win!!!

"if I go down I'm taking you with me" he still had the balls to laugh at me in the lobby. I had never reported anyone before but he definitely deserved it.

Worst 30 mins spend in a race.

Just curious, does anyone know the guidelines on reporting players ingame? Like what is reportable or not?

not really? I guess is just bad behavior or heavy use of foul language.

I get this too... it never seems to fail... I'll be running my laps, clean and smooth with several people (from different countries) but its always that one Canadian who tries to overtake me by driving through me. lol

I've pinpoint Canada for having the worst GT5 gamers. IMO.

Maximum damage, maximum penalties, no boost...

That usually thins the herd before the start!

I took over a Shuffle Race today that was full (of bashers) after the Host left. A full grid for every race. Every time I raced clean to the front, someone uses the chrome horn, and punts me out (before the change).

After enabling all the penalties, I think only four stayed. Got some good racing in. Didn't always win, didn't NEED to win. Just wanted some fair, close racing.

there was a guy from norway once. he joined and jumped in his race modded corvette. he used to stop at the start and ram into the backs of us at the corners. i got everyone to press start when he was about to hit them and he came last. thats teamwork for ya.

So to oppose the thread with the nicest things you've done for your online friends, whats the worst you've had to deal with online. And I'm not talking about dealing with the guys who become a toilet mouth as soon as they put a mic on, I'm talking about actual direct game related activities.

generally I've had a decent experience but I was in a room last night called "Super Cars Only" we were free running (with full damage) on Tokyo R246 when this guy shows up in a Bentley Speed 8, proceeds to blow around everyone smashing into each person as he went by. Then he stops at the 2nd corner, uses his car to push all the plastic jersey barriers into the racing line, says "later noobs" and quits. I wish I would have remembered his PSN and reported it.

How about everyone else?

I was once trying to participate in an online endurance race at the SS7. The first strange thing I was confronted was, that everyone was using Nissan GTRs. Why? A full roster of 15 GTRs, fully tuned, VSpecs and Academy Specs
Then, just out of no where, all those GTrs suddenly went off road at the first turning curve, driving through a barrier and leaving the official course.
I drove on and when I reached the bridge, all those cars were under the bridge!!! doing donuts all of a sudden. Worst thing, they were making lap times around 3 to 4 sec! on SS7!
What the hell was going on? I thought, my PS3 went nuts or some sort of bad evil demon has taken possession of it.
After googling a little and doing some gt planet investigation I found myself doing 200 donuts under bridge aswell. :D

<lol> "Hmm... 200 laps sounds like a fun jaunt, let's see if these guys race clean!"

In all seriousness, could you actually imagine doing a 200 lap enduro of SSR7? I would imagine it to be far more boring than 9 hours on Tsukuba!

Tried online last week, found a bunch of fun clean races

but the things that annoyed me the most were.

You're winning or in a good position and people just start dropping like flies out of the race were I'm either left alone in the lead or with the guys in front of me.

Assholes driving backwards.
Idiots pushing you to the grass to pass you.
Morons who don't break.
Retards who can't accept the fact they get overtaken and decide to ram you after you take them cleanly.

People are very sore loosers

Welcome to the world of online racing...this is why I rarely ever play online, was the same old story in FM3. Best option is to find ppl who race cleanly and stick with it...I'd rather race offline than waste my time setting up a race online to have to put up with retards like you describe above.

i love how my fellow Americans bash on the Canadians for bad driving and the Canadians return the favor.. its pretty funny

Last weekend I played Online Mode and took a Lambo SV Matte Purple on Circuit de La Sarthe. I was with another guy in the lobby. He had a Hyundai Cliix Concept. I've exited the pits and started revving my engine and the guy rams me. 🤬 I was pretty grumpy cos the guy totaled my lambo so I took my 700 bhp Dodge RAM and rammed him I forgot how many times lol. It was pretty funny and is always good to have a good ol' pickup truck to defend your beloved super car.

A 12 people, 3 lap race, and some fellow Briton drove a TAKATA NSX DOME in a 552PP race with all aids on, and he won.
So the next race I told the host to prohibit driving aids. Guess what happened? The guy couldn't control his car. :dunce:
He got so mad at me then when we hit the loop (Cape Ring) he rammed me into the wall. I came 11th. Guess who came last.

Simple solution to those who are tired of getting rammed by idiots.

Penalties.

They don't like it at all.

If you're saying we're bad drivers, then you're wrong. Every room I've joined where americans talk 🤬 about canadians, I beat them to the ground by about 10 seconds.

Alright, This guy below however..

Canadians, they ram into you every turn...

I'll gladly take you on in a race and show you how good Canadian drivers can be. There are idiots from everywhere that will ram you off. So I guess I could say "Americans, they ram into you every turn..." and it would be just as true.

And you. Well I just don't like you. Reading your posts makes me belive that it is you that try to overtake through people, and that it is the Canadians that will be running their clean and smooth laps.

I have seen good Canadian drivers out there, but most of the ones I face ram me, like this one guy in one of my first online races. He used a Kyle Busch car and kept wrecking people.

We had a really clean group running last week (6 players) and a couple of knuckleheads decide to get in the room and state they were clean racers and just blew the whole thing up. Everyone bailed and I wasn't able to find a good group after that

That's why I just race with my normal group of friends. We usually try to keep to clean races but eventually you get that instance where something went wrong and then "it's on" :D Newcomers are warned at the gate though so people don't get butthurt about it. Everyone usually just has a good time. As for nascar, the only way to do it is dirty nascar with full boost... Much more entertaining.

Around 4:00AM, nothing going on online so I hit up SSR7 drags. Host was sleeping, had been sitting in lobby for a few hours prior. Room is damn near full, 14 other players and me... and I acted out how I thought Paris Hilton would drive a Veyron. Needless to say, people didn't care too much for it and before I knew it, I was trolling the **** out of the people for like 2 or 3 hours. Then I went to sleep. Probably got reported a couple times lol.

Just funny how serious people can get and I always find it interesting how far they will fly off the handle over a video game. I got everything from racial slurs (even though they don't know what race I am) to death threats, even people calling me out to fight them in their city across the country. People get so damn frustrated and all the while I'm telling them if they don't like it to go open up or join another room but they out right refuse to and continued to push themselves to becoming more frustrated lol and it wasn't like I was going anywhere because it had to be one of the most entertaining things I've done on GT5. It just takes nearly little to no effort to troll GT5 lobbies and the payoff is risky but at least guaranteed entertainment.

S'funny how DEATHSARTHE is acting all indignant about OTHER people's driving now that this is probably off everyone's radar...

I elect you 'Honorary Canadian' (but realize what an insult that is to most Canadians!) :grumpy:

This idiot just keeps ramming me while Drifting. I ask him to stop he rams me more, then has the Nerve to start talking mess about HIS Drifting skills. I just left te room.

not much too bitch about...kicked for being slow when I truthfully expected to win- a case of a small adjustment ruining the cars donut stability. I guess being accustomed to winning makes loosing that much harder when someone labels you a looser wrongly.
