Worst you've dealt with online...

This one really isn't that bad, but still.
Went into a ferrari f1 room, we were on nurb GF/P (or whatever). Came up on that rediculous 90 to 90 degree turn, and saw this line of F1 cars going across the grass to pass the turn. It doesn't even seem like a good way to skip the chicane, but for some reason I thought it was hilarious and laughed myself off the track

I had to deal with a very stupid host before, in Daytona he rammed me into a wall and pitted me as I tried to overtake him, his excuse: "it was the last 10 seconds!" when the name of the lobby was "clean racing". Hated that kid.

Had something like this happen.. my SLS had just been taken off the track by the FGT and i was pissed... so i quit to message the host and switch out the damaged SLS.. went back on the track with another car.. and hey whaddya 🤬 know the host is flying right at me drag racing some other noob out of turn 1 going the wrong way...

Hahah i was racing monza (no chicane)... The host was pissed off that HE forgot that HE put on the false start... He jumps... Theres about 13 of us and its just down to me and some guy in a vette relying on draft to keep up... So the host does every lap consecutively in last place until the last lap... Then I hear the host say... "lets do this" thankfully i had the map on to full scale and i can see him turn around at the 2nd chicane so he can go full boar in the opposite direction to hit who ever was in 1st place on the straight.. I give him props for timing it so correctly...(maybe he's done it before?) but just as we were rounding the last corner i see 2 vette's drafting each other and me(mind you i was the only ford gt on the grid...) the host is in sight and heading full speed ahead into my direction... I swerve right.. And fake left and still stay right... Both of his buddys in the vette's behind me falls for my little headfake... And so does the host driving right at me... All 3 vette's collide behind me while i take the 17 lap victory and win about 60k... Ofcourse they were all saying " that was my money you useless canadian... Do all of you drive like that?" Haha i cheated in no way... I even rounded the chicanes and stayed OUT of the green... Hahaha i just thankes them for the laugh because i was having a REALLY bad day and i NEEDED that.... They didnt like that too much and then booted me.... Funny enough later on that night one of them actually found a room i was hosting and askes what suspension setup i had... Man my day was just getting better and better i told him and then kicked him.... Im a respectable racer, if i bump you, its not going to be major, im going to let you correct yourself and stay back... U flash your lights.. Hell i might even clip some grass on the right side just for u to pass... Hope to race you guys as soon as this psn is up and running.. Until then... Arcade mode!!!

A general "mute all voice chat" option would also be a great feature, instead of having to find each person and do it individually(especially if the mute is persistent if you meet them again).

Yes it would be usefull in a room you're not hosting

Daytona speedway, there were 2 other guys in the room. 1 was using a Veyron and the other was using a Zonda R. I thought, "oh yea, no chance against the Veyron so Ill just use my viper and just battle it out with the zonda". Well, I was wrong, I had beat the Veyron. The guy demanded a rerace, so, I figured, what the heck, I beat him once I can do it again. The race starts and all of a sudden, off the start line the zonda turns to block me, I slam on the breaks, he ends up in the grass and I floor it to catch the veyron. Im right up behind the veyron and carrying more speed into the turn, I go for an overtake, He swerves at me. I tap the brakes and switch to the outside lane, He swerves against me again. This time I let him slam me. He loses control, ends up in the grass. I end up grind along the wall the rest of the turn and start heading towards the start finish line for the 2nd lap, All of a sudden this zonda flies at me going the opposite way, I swerve out of the way, he misses, I go on to finish the race a good 5 seconds ahead of the veyron. I got blamed for the ramming.

I've have an idea for this... if GT5 can recognize your birthday, why doesn't PD just implement an AGE RESTRICTION on lobbys? Then no loser kids will come into the server and people will be able to race eachother of the same age group anyways. Kids will always smash cars, it's why licenses are a privilege :\

I also wish for age restriction in the lounges. Not only to avoid the hordes of obnoxious net-kids kids, but also simply to be able to race with your age/peer group. Just to be clear, I know there are youngsters out there that have good manners and drive cleanly, and they have my respect. I also know that there are misbehaving adults...

Of course some younger folks don't like that idea. One have commented that most of his trouble has been with adults - I don't believe that is the case for the majority. However, that is also solved with an age restriction, namely a lower AND upper age limit

Also the argument that people can use accounts with fake birth dates has been put forth. Yes there are probably some, but I'd be surprised if there are very many of those being used, especially main accounts (not b-day, duping etc. -accounts).

The best thing may be some sort of online profiling. E.g. if you drive more than X seconds the wrong way, or hit more than Y cars coming from behind with a speed differential of more than Z, you're tagged as doing just that and can't enter lounges that has the "no rogue drivers" option selected. Something like that might be more difficult to implement though.

NFS Shift 2 as some sort of system like this I believe. Sounds like a pretty good idea. Stops clean drivers getting stuck with a load of rammers.

I was thinking an infraction system, like X person drives backwards in Ys room, Y punts him, then checks off the reason for kicking him and the others vote to punt him out. then X gets an infraction and cant enter a room with a host with less infractions then him. Also the reason for kicking people would only have a certain number of options for kicking, then everyone else votes quickly so if the host attempts to kick him for no reason the others can veto it to keep it honest.

My drag race prepped Enzo was just attacked by an X2010 noob.. i told him "really bud?" When he bought it into a drag room.. the Enzo was subsequently pummeled.. i went and got my X2010 and punted him back.. but when i switched back to my Enzo he was waiting for me at the pit entrance.. so i found a spot on the Mulsanne and had fun with him.. i used my drifting skill (the pausing ghost trick refused to work.. the Enzo wouldnt ghost, so itd get hit).. to get it to start sliding circles (not donuts, powersliding in circles).. and then every time the X1 would make a pass id snap the stick to give the enzo some opposite lock to get the tail out of the way.. sending the X1 whizzing by into the barriers.. he charged the sliding Ferrari 10 times or so and completely missed every time (including one instance where he went straight into a pair of veyrons setting up for a race).. he got so annoyed that he got out his Miev to try and match the ferraris tight moves but at that point i drove away.. he quit 30 seconds later.. unfortunately because of the time here that screwed the Enzo out of a proper race.. i will have to address it tomorrow

While I don't agree with being a douche about it, many times if I am running a road car room I ask people to drop the LM Road Cars as they are identical to their race car counterparts aside from the fact they don't have stickers on them. They really have a huge advantage over even a heavily modded regular road car.

Its funny you mention this, there are many games that do have stiff penalties for quitting online games in the middle. Some lock you out form joining another room for 5 minutes, I think Uncharted 2 actually takes money away from your character too.

Having a very close race for 3 out of 4 laps at monza with one other guy. He brake checks me going into parabolica so I obviously hit him from behind (entirely accidental) and he hits the sand trap. I slow right down to let him by again so we can get going and he slams into me from behind and in the next 30 seconds hits me 3 or 4 more times. Before this it was clean and close.

Makes me wonder why we even bother with online when there are douchebags out there like this who just seem DETERMINED to have a bad time.

Its funny aside from once or twice since PP has been brought back the people that have been sneaking into games I'm not hosting with like Super GT cars and the like generally suck anyway and can't win even with that huge advantage. That has helped. That said I still can't stand it because its not a fair race, just a lame mess, also many times the car is just fast enough for them to screw up the race for other people (like they can't control the car and take people out)

The one problem with PP is it doesn't take into account the fact that Race Cars have a huge advantage in suspension and aero setup options, ride height, tire contact patch, etc over even a heavily modded car. Running the same PP a race car vs a road car with the same driver the race car will win every time.

I always find it interesting when, after a race, the room fills with bickering. After a race on Monza yesterday (which I failed epically at, I always fail the chicanes), I hear comments about "the guy who pushed me off in the Lexus" and "🤬 Ultimoron's truck". Yes, I use a Ram sometimes, I try to race cleanly but some days it takes me a while to get used to its wide turning circle.
