Ideally everyone would race as they would in real life. Unfortunately a lot of people race like they're in a Michael Bay film.

Spa seems to have become a haven for corner cutters.

Eau Rouge is so easy to cut if you get it wrong. Les Combes is also quite a tempting one, and then everyone seems to run really wide through Pouhon and Blanchimont. Penalties on fixes it all though. You even look at the other side of a kerb and you've got your self a 5 second penalty.

I don't usually play in the public lobbies, but decided to the other day and probably won't go back for a while, if ever. Did some limited PP races and a few shuffle, they were all the same. Had a "clean drivers" in the title and was far from it. Just wasn't fun.

Happened to me the other day as well. I really enjoy "Just for Fun" Clean Shuffle Races.

I had found a few in the past that were really fun. People would make a mistake here or there, but everyone was trying not to spin each other out and respecting racing lines.

Last few times however, I have not had much luck with them. Lots of crashing into people even in the "Clean" rooms.

Guess I will have to try more the of the Race for real rooms, though I am always afraid of making one little mistake and getting booted.

Got kicked yesterday from a room that said spa testing and had a few people in, so I thought I would get out my GTR and do a few laps as I haven't bought the DLC get so I was just driving around the track trying to learn all the corners, then the host said through his microphone "hey I've found a jump" at this point I thought to myself "oh no". The jump involved driving the track backwards at the last corner of the track. I then got absolutely flattened by people in there X1's hitting me. To cut a long story short I got kicked. :banghead:

Well I have been scammed a few times (but then who hasn't?) but one time I was in my drift lobby called free drift on Tsukuba (join if you want) and some guy comes into the lobby in a tank car and starts crashing into and swearing at all the French people in the lobby

Funny thing that Spa circuit, was racin there last night and after about 6 races there the host turns the penalties off. I couldn't believe it, nearly every car cuts the chicane after the straight. It's frustrating as I'm not the fastest driver but am definitely clean and fair. When we finished I suggested putting the penalties back on and he did. But one of the corner cutters who ironically finished last said they were for newbies and kids. I'm level 39 & 40 so ain't a newbie, it just seems people can't stand the thought of loosing .

Also I absolutely hate when my drift lobbies get filled with really amateur drifters who smash into the back of your car because they brake way too late. And I also hate those power sliding 4wd 'drifters'

@ Bogey
Penalties for noobies? Cutting corners, is for noobies. People really need to realize they aren't the best virtual drivers out there.

One more thing, I hate it when me and the rest of the people in my lobby are just drifting and having a good time but then some kid joins in a Sebastian vettel x1 that we all got given for free and they get it out thinking there all pro with an x1 (unlike us legit x1 owners) then ram everyone off the track, but now I've just kicked someone as soon as I even hear/see their x1

Joined a Nascar room and it was full of X1s on Daytona.

The host probably didn't have the room set to NASCAR ONLY. You know you can do that now since the update. I love that feature, just one less thing I have to watch for.

Wow he said its for newbies. He must have not know what newbie means.

I was racing online last night at spa, in what used to be my own room (I was disconnected and rejoined it).3 laps, touring cars. I'm in my r8, and in the lead. I only made 2 mistakes, and they were both looking at the very inside of eau rouge, so I penalised for both times. The second time, someone pulls up to me in their merc clk dtm car, and drives through me while I'm a ghost. Im immediately on his bumper when I unghost, and am quicker than him but not quite enough to get a clean pass. So I'm chattering away on his bumper, and he makes a mistake through the large sweeping bend where the massive amount of tarmac runoff, and I pull along side him. We are side by side for a while, giving each other plenty of room, until we get on the bit leading up to the final chicane. He starts to squeeze me over to the outside of the track, until we get to the flat out sweeper, where he pushes me onto the grass and I plow straight into a wall. First to last all because of one 🤬 needless to say, next race I made up for it and won that one.

Basically any douchebag driving an X2010, and thinking they just HAVE to pit maneuver everyone, thank the lawd for the Laramine Hemi.

Since obtain GT5 on release date. Not once has I enter the online racing. Im not surprise by large most player aint racing but ramming, hitting wall, airbore and cussing. Why bother by it. Time trial is more of achivement than racing others who doesnt understand do and dont.

Yesterday this nub in an X1 started to ram people.

He spun me around and then started to push me, so all i did was floor it and i was pushing him back at least 100m

Then i said "All that power and no torque" and then he ragequit a few seconds later.

I create my own room with Daytona being the featured track. I always call it free-roam. And idiots come in and get bent out of shape cause I wont start the race........ Idiots!

Guy passes me today at Nordschelife just past the bridge, goes off the track in doing so and cuts straight in front of me when he puts a tire on the grass and loses control. Then he countersteers to the other side of the track while I keep driving straight. He comes back onto the track and basically squeezes me off the road, putting both of us off the track. He immediately retires and chats that I bumped him and ruined the race for everybody. His host friend then kicks me from the room.

I am all about clean racing and all I did was drive completely straight and kept the inside line. This sort of thing happens a lot and really 🤬 me off. People drive dangerously, pass you at an unsafe speed and with too little room, and something like this happens. Fine, but don't blame it on me, I drive clean.

Does anybody hate it when a driver messes up and ends up sideways and decides to attempt reversing into you when your just passing by? It happened on Spa twice yesterday.

I absolutely HATE and DESPISE those players in track day / free run rooms. Do they not know what those 4 words mean? Hosts have been putting in "No Race" in the title just to prevent these idiots.

Whenever I'm the host, I say "Find a racing room then" and proceed to kick them because they usually will ask to start the race again.

I had that happen in a room I was in a long time ago. The room said "no race cars" and some guy was killing everyone in an RM Elise that fit within the regs of the room but not what everyone else was running (street cars), so the host left and I became the host, and told him again no race cars. Then when he wouldn't listen I locked his car out with the regs. He then went on a tirade about how a RM car is still a street car and not a race car and I'm a blah blah blah, etc. He stayed for 1 more race, and got shellacked when he used a similar car to everyone else. Then cursed around about how it was BS, and then left.

Was racing in a 575PP room at Spa today, had a couple GTP guys there with me. We were in SuperGT cars.

Host makes the brilliant decision to attempt a pass up Eau Rouge. Clips my rear bumper, I sort of save it, but go flying across the run-off, getting a penalty. He wipes out.

After the race, I say: "Not sure who tried passing me up Eau Rouge, but they fully deserved whatever happened to them." I got kicked about 5 seconds later.

Why.... there's no room for side by side through eau rouge. Whoever thinks otherwise is a maniac.
