My worst experience is with americans not offense to fellow american GTP members but there's douchebags in GT5 where you join a room full of american people for dragging and they have mics and when they lose to you they'll say you lag and kick that noob and they kick me far by worst thing happened to me. O and they do that sometimes because they see i have a canadian flag... racist.

Yeah that's one reason i can't wait to get my 2 years of college done. After i do bye bye U.S. hello Canada. I just haven't decided where i want to move to in Canada

There was one lobby I joined with an annoying kid as a host. It was a cop lobby, but he kept hitting me before he finally typed that I have to drive on the left side (why didn't he say that before?!). He might of said it on the mic, but I couldn't hear him. More people joined and we did a little cruising, we were going to right speed limit, on the right side of the road. The kid still kept running into us saying something "can't let you do what you want". I then left the lobby.

Not the worst experience online for me, but it was a little ridiculous. I guess I should know better than to join a lobby with a kid as a host.

I also get a little annoyed with some lobbies with people ramming others with those tank cars.

UPDATE - 9/17/12

Today, There was a cruise lobby I joined where there was an idiot in a silver lotus elise '00 hitting everyone. Though, the host was aware and kicked him. If he didn't kick him, I would've rammed him with my x1 for payback.

Getting kicked from a lobby because i dont like weed, i mean its the most stupid excuse to kick someone

The most stupid excuse for kicking someone was the one I gave the last time I kicked someone:

"Sorry, but I don't like the way you set up your ricing rig."

I will never be able to live that down.

I got kicked from a clean shuffle room for taking the outside line while leading a race, because the host took the inside line, hit me because he charged the turn too quickly, and ultimately wrecked himself. ::face palm::

I've had a rather nasty experience in GT online tonight.

I was on the Top Gear Test Track and I had managed to secure 1st on the second lap and almost immedeatly the IM box on the side lights up with abusive texts all directed at me. Now I've been playing games online for years so I thought nothing of it and finished the race in 1st and went back to the lobby. As I go back to the lobby though I start receiving private messages on my PSN from some of the players with some pretty horrible language, one of them a French player threatening to slit my throat :ill: . So I leave the lobby and within five minutes I get another email from the same sick person saying he has my email address but again I think nothing of it. Then my Windows Live Messenger starts going crazy, logging me out and sending out tonnes of spam emails to all my contact list, the spam emails all being in French and containing a nasty virus link. Now I'am not saying anything bad against any French players outthere but this is just a general complaint about sheer immaturity of some players outthere.

To cut a long story short I managed to get everything sorted and all my passwords changed, I blocked the chap from Emailing my PSN again and fully reported him but to be honest it was quite a nasty experience. I'm not a dirty player I like good, clean races but if this is what it's going to be like on GTO I might think twice on playing it again.

I was in a lobby with a couple people I know and a couple people I don't.

It was a Daytona SS, and it was street cars only. Of course I take a Veyron. Someone (who I didn't know) decided it was dandy to rip out his 2010 NASCAR for the street car race. I started last, but blitzed him after fifteen feet. So he starts yelling Gamerdog this and Purple Veyron that and after I lap him twice he goes to pit me and I counter it via 1256 HP. He starts complaining that I rammed him against the wall, even though I didn't, and then the host (who I did know) did nothing he quit.

Some people just can't handle losing.

I hate the people who beg for cars in the chat, its distracting and above all its completly stupid, i dont get why people (even if they're new to the series) feel like they are entitled to a super fast car straight away without earning it the way 99% of players do

I joined a game once and I got tapped by someone into turn one on route 5 and spun out, and then I got kicked for spinning... >.>

lol same here. Except Im going to college elsewhere. :) This reminded me of one room I joined... was named like "Good race" then I entered and theres 2 noobish Americans with tuned black ZO6 Corvettes and then we just had a demolition derby, heavy damage is on, and then they just kept ramming me 2 on 1, and then after about a minute and a half I just left... what a "good race" that was... >.>

Yeah same here on the college part. Going to ITT TECH probably will end up being 4 years for 2 degrees then I'll be moving.

And yeah that sounds like it was a close race haha.

I got kicked out of a room earlier today for helping a friend with a tune. Him and me were the only ones that had mics we were probably only talking for a literally a min. So my friend went to do a hot lap and i was watching him. After one hot lap my friend ends up with the fastest time. I was like cool glad he liked it and right after I said that I get kicked and he let's my friend stay. I told my friend to ask why he or she kicked me and the guy replied "because you beat my lap time". So my friend says "so let me get this straight.. you kicked my friend because he gave me a tune that beat your time?" and the guy said yes. Me and my friend were completely dumbfounded. We ended up laughing in my lounge for about 20 minutes after that.

I got kicked out of a room because the host think I don't know about race cars

I was in the room, and I brought out a zonda remand they think it's a r model street car and I told them it wasn't.so I have to back out of a race then wait till the race ends then it ended.then a brought out a 2j and I got kicked.these guys don't know what a race car is

Not sure if host was trolling, or he was really that dumb. :P

Just FYI....

The Zonda R isn't a race car. It meets no racing regs at all. It has never and will never race.

It also isn't road legal, so basically it's simply a rich mans track day plaything. It is/was a clean sheet "how far can we go" project not dissimilar to the Ferrari FXX or Maser MC12 Corsa.

The Zonda GR is a race car but this is based on a C12 and is developed by Carsport (who have the exclusive rights to produce race ready Zondas).

^^ also just like to add on to the Zonda R, at all european, u.s.a, australia, new zealand, and most asian, indonesea, japan, korea etc, and all but abu dhabi racing circuit in the u.a.e, the Zonda R exceeds all noise regulations by miles, pagani did try to to fix it but it lost 190bhp+ so it usually sits in someones garage and caressed occasionally, but I still gotta have one,

My worst personal experience was when I went through a NASCAR stage and tried to enter NASCAR rooms, its not as easy as I first thought, so as usual I was a bit rusty at being a pack rat, didn't cause any major incidents but did accidentally run people into the wall by trying to avoid someone else, after a few days of being kicked after my first few races in any lobby I stumbled across a dirty NASCAR room, which allowed me to refine my skills and no one got mad if they got bumped because it was encouraged, now I've got a decent friend list of people who want me to run clean NASCAR with them,

So in saying the part that made this a bad experience for me was that I never got the opportunity to learn or gain the experience to run clean and proper, but I'm greatful in a sense as I made some great online friendsn dirty or clean racers,

Also, I have found the best thing I did was add people on my PSN as friends, now when I get online I create a lobby and invite them to it, and if pickings are slim they invite some people, now I'm 94% satisfied my rooms or the rooms I join are going to be clean, if not then I know they are going to be dirty (dirty nascar)

And guys don't be shy to add me on PSN, I'm always keen for good racing!!!

Bloody hell! Someone REALLY can't stand losing!

Well lastnight I was in a friends lobby with 2 other racers that were friends of the host ( My Friend) who seemed cool, of course then we started racing and things changed. We started on Daytona and the main dirty driver got physical soon as a move was made to pass him. Dirty blocking forcing peeps into wall. I conceeded and placed 3 out of 4 host was first victim but I guess he just blew it off. He's very laid back player.

Dirty Dude racer had nerve to get bored with Oval Racing and suggested Road courses. I suggested LeMans No Chicanes, host agreed and we switched. While choosing my car I heard DDR admit he would be cutting the course :(
Should have left but its satisfying to beat cheaters even better when they use Aids and still cant cheat.
I grabbed my Italia vs a Honda NSX Prototype LM Road Car DDR used a GT-R Vspec Host used TVR Speed 6.
We start and DDR rips through the Dunlop turn via the sand. Im thinking to myself, why did he wanna go to Road Course, yet still dont want to turn left, right, or brake for turn. Host of course was mum plus in last, and other racer followed DDRs lead cutting the course:(
My Italia was tuned very very well and No Aids ABS1, they used Aids, we all used RS tires I admit. I caught them regardless of cutting, but just like before DDR felt he was only driver in lobby with the Right to Compete and win. I was hardly in awe of his skill and was determined to win.
Every cut corner they took, I countered with technique. They would gain, I would catch up but DDR wouldn't let me pass clean.Eventually though his cheating got the best of him on the backstretch when he tried to cut across the inside grass and take the last sharp right turn, but his bad momentum tossled his car over to the left side grass, then he threw his car out in front of mine, but I was ready ducking to his left as he went to my right...into the grass, all on his own. I stood victorious over the cheaters, didn't gloat said good night and left.

Proof positive Cheaters Never Win. Sorry for long post.

Don't take this thread as a representation of what GT5 online can be.
I've had some really great and competencies races in public lobbies.

i tend to be a bad driver magnet, granted im not the best driver in the world but i don't go out of my way to run someone off the road. i try my best and i apolaigze if i bump or cause a problem. i might hook up the wheel tonight to race online (havn't done that yet) idk yet.

If you can get some good drivers, it is very worth it.

I was hosting a clean shuffle room about three days ago. I ended getting a full lobby of 16 people, and we all had RX-7s and Mustangs racing a Daytona for hours. I had loads of fun, and that was a public lobby.

This one is fresh, i come to klostertal with my X2010.. Trying to be as clean as possible with it.. Someone else had taken out their 2011 and set a lap, I beat it by almost 30 seconds but I knew there was still time to be shaved.. So I keep going with it.

As I'm coming out of the left hand corner just before klostertal at about 230 miles an hour... There's a ZR1 RM literally right there at the exit, because of my closing speed on the guy (he was probably doing about 130-140 through there) by the time his car came into view the X1 was already on top of him, and it didnt react fast enough to my attempted swerve, as a result it went straight into the back of the ZR1 full tilt. The result was predictable.. The ZR1 was punted and ended up head first In the wall after shooting through the gravel. I of course immediately apologized, saying that it was an accident and switching out the X1 quickly to prevent further heat on it, switching cars quickly I ended up with the 458, announced the switch, and went back out.

The guy with the Corvette was waiting for me. The ensuing lap was bumper cars. After saying kick me, he goes after the 458 with the ZR1, trying to pummel it. Now I am an expert at using speed against people.. So each time he'd try to PIT me, I'd brake, sometimes right in his face, when he'd try to just straight up ram me off the road I'd anticipate it and he'd go whistling by straight into the wall, sometimes he'd cut me off to try and push me in the wall, and I'd let him PIT himself on the front of the Ferrari. Sometimes he'd knock me into a spin but I'd quickly catch it. And once or twice he knocked it off the road into the wall. The only times he let up were to insult me, calling me an idiot and 🤬 as well as other things. I didnt care, i found it funny.

After banging up the backstretch, I decided to retire the 458 and grabbed the tank car, then I was like "try me". He of course tried to knock me a couple times but the Vette would literally bounce right off the Tank Car and it was unphased. So to take out his frustration from not being able to annoy me til I quit, he decides to attack this random golf RM. totally innocent vehicle, now the Golf driver was not as skilled as I am so the ZR1 really pummeled him, knocking him off the road into spins and walls several times. I of course was like "what'd he do to deserve that?" And then he just kept attacking the VW until I had to leave the room to go to class. I friended the VW driver, apologized to him because he randomly got caught in our dispute and intend to send him a car later as a good will gesture, because my rivals conduct today was extremely immature, and there was no need for the VW driver to get caught in it like that.

Now am I going to pretend I was in the right? No. I did see him a few seconds before just disappearing over the top of the hill before that left hand corner and I should have probably calculated my closing speed a little better and backed off at least a bit, of course I am aware that even using the X1 in the first place on the premise that someone else was doing it too was a no no in itself. It was a fast part of the track and even in normal cars not many people take that corner the way I do, I should have accounted for traffic at the exit of that corner. My driving style is quite aggressive, and i had a good rhythm with the X1, i know i have an issue when it comes to backing off.. i dont like to back off, especially on a hot lap no matter what im driving, and lastly there was the way the X1 hit him, it was a direct hit, dead center in the back of the Vette, hard, it looked like a punt, I should have probably stopped afterward but I took the corner and then paused, so my initial conduct could have probably been better. However there is no excuse for him escalating it the way he did. I could've easily fought back, but I chose not to on the grounds of my stature here and how dropping to such a level would be looked down upon by all of you.
