Doing a clean lap at the Nurburgring and having some idiot thinking it's a good idea to come tearing up the opposite way down the last few corners. Spoiled my lap and my general happiness in that particular room.

I agree with you on that one. It's very hard doing a lap in general. Let's see:
Powerful car that will slide if you're not careful
Tricky track that you might not have fully mastered
Other people that might hate you for hitting them
Faster vehicles that may come up behind you (especially Red Bulls, hard to dodge when they're so fast)
And I think it would be easier if everyone just went the same way. On Circuit De La Sarthe on free run, I just move over to the side on the Mulsanne Straight and hope that the drag racers blow by in the other lane...
The other people that might hate you and faster vehicles that might come up behind you part is what top gear test track got.try to do a lap,you going to be hit.try to do a drag race, going to get hit.drifting, you get the point.
Not really, he just called me a Mexican and yelled... So nope.
While I can't remember something significant enough to call "My worst GT5 experience ever," there are a few that were quite annoying. Be aware of rage.
1: I join a lobby titled "Car Show" at the TG test track. I just cruise around in an X1 not hitting anyone and the host kicks me for "not driving a real car." The irony of the situation is the host was driving a Formula GT, which by the way, IS NOT A REAL CAR EITHER.
2: Hosts that go AFK (away from keyboard/controller) in a lobby and seem to never come back. Then some moron joins and is wrecking the experience for everyone. I try to get everyone to vote kick the moron and/or the host, but they don't do it!
3: Hosts that go AFK, and when they DO get vote kicked, some idiot becomes the host, kicks everyone out and shuts the server down. This typically happens in lobbies that are actually good and fun.
4: Impatient people in drag lobbies. People do not know how to wait for someone to get ready to drag. They start laying on their horn and a flame war erupts. Then some guy revs his engine and accidentally let's go of the brake and hits another person. Then it's a ramming fest. And the most annoying thing of all: finding a good car to compete against (say ACR vs ACR) and when it's time to go, the guy stops mid race or turns back to race someone else. ATLEAST FINISH THE RACE, MORON!
Rant over. Sorry for all caps at some points. Can we please clean up the online GT5 community?

Cruising in a lobby for a little bit and 2 jerks with similar PSN names showed up and were ramming everybody. I then got in my veyron and started ramming for some payback.
Their PSN names have "SINISTER" in them. Watch out for them.
They did get kicked in the end though.
Ugh. I absolutely hate clanboy elitists. They are a cancer to online gaming. Well, EA is too.

The Veyrons are starting to get the same bad stigma as the X1s and Tank Cars.
When i pull out a veyron in clean rooms, people assume the worst until the are relieved that i can actually handle it and reel in this beast...That is, IF they give me the chance to prove myself!
I know that, I don't use veyrons or x1s that often. Just for when I see some jerks in a lobby that need to be brought to justice. Of course, that only occurs sometimes.
Also, I'm now in a lobby that says "Hondas only" and a couple people decided to use other cars such as a redbull x2011 & subaru impreza. WTF?! I hate it when people don't follow the lobby rule like that.
Hahaa exactly! The sheer weight makes it practically unmovable aye!? Please see my recently edited post for more details on that. (end of previous page)
Ugh, i hate that! I was hosting a room yesterday and i named it "My F1 GP Tracks" because...they are!? Then people start asking to vote for track change...But if i don't stick with the title, potential joiners would mistakenly think it's not my room!?
And agreed, just as with the Ferrari F1s, the X1s should only be racing with X1s. To have a scenario where it's even possible for an X1 to enter a race with any other car is ridiculously unrealistic and unnecessarily pointless.
My suggestion would virtually solve this problem...At least where X1s are unwelcome.

I think EA is worst than clanboy elitists. Personally, because they are hogging porsche since they know that there are other gaming companies that would make better use of the license.
EXACTLY! Plus they abuse DLCs.
I agree, they keep releasing 1 game after another, in less than a year 2. There's 2 NFS games that are released every year. I bet they'll get to a point where they'll release a new game everyday at the rate they're going.
NFS has become the COD of racing games. Same garbage released each year sent to tasteless consumers.
Yeah, there are "x1 only" lobbies, I don't see why they can't join those. The guy in the x1 in the honda lobby I was in said he was using it to set a lap record on the course. I asked why in the lobby and he replied with "because I want to do it here". *facepalm* What an idiot, if someone wants to set their lap record, they should do it outside the lobby in free run or time trial. No reason to do it otherwise. The guy did switch to a honda afterwards though.
Or even make his own room...
Well probably because there are people who have actually mastered controlling the X1 and people like him can't compete with those with such exceptional skills!
Yeah, I don't plan on trying to master the x1. I still haven't done the redbull x1 challenge in the special events part of GT Life.
Well i know some people have manged with a controller, but i'm not one of those. I'd been trying on-and-off for nearly a year! I soon realized there was no point until i got a wheel. Within a month of setting up my new G27, i finally managed to get Bronze. The key is controller sensitivity in driver options. The default setting is 5 and i have to turn it down to 2. Otherwise, i can't even keep it on the track.
oh, alright then. Of course, I only have a controller, so it's basically near to impossible for me to do and I can't afford a driving wheel at the moment.
