Just had a good one while racing. I was on the TGTT ("I know not the best place to race"), well I was just lapping and noticed this guy in a tank car, parking on the apex of the follow thru. Myself and many others in the room asked him to stop but this was ignored, ("Host was AFK").
Others started to moan and make funny comments about this blatant troll, to which I checked his settings to find that he had TC at 5 and auto recovery on. I said to him that he can not be the best of drivers if these options are on, we all know TC slows you down.
He then said:
"well you can't say much, I have more a-spec and b-spec points and have completed the red bull challenge".
I did then make it clear that having more points in a-spec and b-spec does note = a better driver.
In the end I left but wow why do they let 12 year old's play this game, Thank god for GTP and racing events

@coxbox there is a faster way of racing at the top gear test track and this is when you go past the hammerhead and keep going straight,keep going straight to the finish line,spin around and drive the finish line and you win easily.but only use this at the end of the race for a easy win

Yeah, I do have 2 driving wheels, but they're for the PS2. One is a Trustmaster and I have no idea what type the other is. I haven't used either of them in years though. Mainly because I sucked at using them and I figured that I would learn how to drive a regular car before using a driving wheel.
Well, I do have free time at the moment and can drive a car. So, I guess I might pull out one of my old racing wheels and play GT4 on the PS2.
EDIT:
I have a new annoyance that I'm dealing with now. A moron that joined a cruise lobby that I'm in that's wants to race and keeps spamming "go race go race go race...". I deal with this a lot in free driving & cruise lobbies, it gets annoying after a while. Why can't these type people just leave and go to a different lobby?!

A better question would be, if the host set up the room as a cruise lobby, why doesn't he punt people like that for the betterment of the group? Sounds like a host that's an empty seat...

Hey, you said about wheels and PS3? I might be getting a PS2 controller to USB cord for christmas off ebay, It was actually for using ps2 wheel with pc, but it might work with ps3.

No thanks. I don't need a wheel at the moment. I want to practice with my PS2 wheels first before I start getting serious with them.

er? I meant everyone says you can't use ps2 controllers with ps3, i was suggesting you buy one, it's less than $5 (aud on ebay au anyway). Don't know why no-one does. [this]

Some might find this question childish and even stupid, but I'll still ask: Why is it that dirty drivers' names can't be published on this thread? Shouldn't people be allowed to warn others not to play with certain guys because of their immature attitude or general lack of conduct?

I didn't even realize there were any wheels that used the PS2 controller ports. I thought they were most if not all USB-connected. It would be worth trying an old wheel with GT5, many of them work. You might not need to get out GT4 unless you actually want to play GT4.

Exactly. It'll just turn into a revenge thread, where guys start putting your name up there because you beat them and they don't like it. There's also lag incidents, which can look normal to you but to someone else you are out of control and causing carnage. Too many ways it can go wrong.

Yesterday,I unexpectedly joined in a room with motortrend Mitch and MCclarendesign(good guys to race with) and other racers that is not in this site.it suppose to be clean racing,but everytime I brake,I keep getting bump on.so,I couldn't keep up with MCclarendesign and motortrendmitch because those dirty racers.the race was frustrating with 14 of those dirty racers.

Saw something really unnatural. I was on a race in SS7 in a BMW V12 LMR (At 249mph) and all of a sudden an Acura NSX rockets right past. The other thing is that the NSX had a weird paint job, black with yellow streaks. I haven't seen an NSX that can go THAT fast. In fact, I think he was hacking.

Once I was in a race on SSR7 with a friend. I was in a 908 and my friend was in a 787B. We ended up getting past by a Chrysler 300c. I was like this O_O. Then realized boost was on high.
Maybe it was that.
Or
It could be someone with a jail broken ps3 and GT5 moded. And yes as of about what 3 months ago now you can get online with jail broken PS3s.
