Joined one of those speed limit lobbies.
I decided to screw around in my Ford GT since everyone else was going crazy in their cars. The host was doing the 3 strikes and switch car thing. He saw me go too fast in my GT, marks me an imaginary ticket. He called my Ford GT a GT40, I corrected him. He then gave me another ticket because of that. He threatened to kick another player because he said he didn't like his car and told him to switch. Um, wtf?!

I saw that then I left because he then turned on heavy damage and tire wear.

- Speed limit/cops room on SSR5. Cops were foul-mouthed and didn't recognise that pretty much everyone wanted to drive backwards... as you are usually allowed to  One also kept calling me "Chunk" :boggled:

-Speed limit/cops room on Cote D'Azur. All the cops had left and one guy was micspamming "lalalalalalalalala" for 10 minutes solid, no let-up :banghead:

See anything? :sly:

Two in a row for me. I was in a "Cops X1 = KICK" room and the track was Monaco. The host was driving a Red Bull X2011 Prototype. Later, another guy joined in the same car and was kicked. Meanwhile, I got bored and decided to leave. Then, the game froze and when I restarted the PS3 I got... CORRUPTED DATA! :ouch:

How unlucky can one be? :indiff:

P.S.: HAPPY NEW YEAR, :gtplanet:!

EDIT (January 2nd): Another one. I got kicked twice from Portuguese rooms for being Greek. Racist idiots. I just got into serious racing and discovered I'm rather quick. I also saw a host ragequit yesterday because I was beating his X2011 with my GT - ONE on Route X.

I still have the replay of the race, which I eventually won. :P

How do you know it's because you're Greek? If you join a room and the people inside are of one country only, you will almost always get kicked. It seems to happen even more often if they are using mics. Also, if you join an American (as in American continent) room when you're not American (again, the continent not the country), you will almost always get kicked, no matter the situation. You can stay in the lobby for a while, and they end up kicking you nonetheless.

I've got another story - must be the 3rd time I've posted here. I joined a lobby on cote D' Azur which was entitled 'Cruise Crew UK' - sounds friendly enough right? I was kicked after 4 minutes for a mixture of two reasons;

1. The host thought my online ID was related to the game, LittleBigPlanet, and started throwing abuse at me because of it. I got my PS3 online before I even thought about buying the game.

2. My car was green. No, really, he even said "we don't like pu**ies in green cars here."

Pretty good one, eh?

He kicked you because you play LBP?

Lol because you had a green car whats wrong with a green car I have a dark green 458 looks great in that color.

Joining a cruise lobby ( right hand side driving, 70 mph limit ) on Cote D'Azur, cruising around for 10 minutes or something until some people show up with their tuned Veyrons and started dragracing and getting mad when people who were just cruising "got in their way and caused them to lose"....

Veyrons ruin everything. Not kidding. In most lobbies at Circuit de la Sarthe where it's an all-out drag war, people drive their high priced supercars (Corvettes, GT's, Vipers, SLRs, Enzos, etc) and have fun (for the most part). Then when some guy joins and sees what everyone is driving, says to himself "I SUK AT TOONING SO I'LL DRYVE MAI VAYRAWN" and beats everyone. Then, people get into their Veyrons (or even worse, X2011s) and then it becomes an all out ramming fest after someone gets bumped, PIT'd, and loses. Come on GT5 community, learn to drive, learn to tune, learn online driving game etiquette.

And I may add that this happens in a very high proportion of cops servers, a sad thing to see. When the host goes AFK, the trolls come out to play.

I used to use Veyrons, but I quitted doing so after I saw how crappy they steer

You rarely see me in a veyron or a x1 online because I like to use my cars and the other reason is that I might get kicked.

Funny how your talking about the veyron, someone in a veyron just screwed me over in a race. He randomly braked when I was about to overtake him and I hit him causing me to get a 5 second penalty (I really hate the penalty system) and he wasn't at a corner.

When I join a lobby with a host that properly does their job (that's a rare sight), and if I'm in the mood, I'll switch to my Veyron with the worst possible setup ever so I don't get kicked. 518 horsepower at 4,000+ pounds. Takes forever to hit 200 MPH and doesn't go far past 210.

Funny how you mention penalties,

During the Corvette C7 Nurbugring time trial in the new years event, I accidentally bumped the inside corner on THE LAST turn and gave me THREE "Next Lap Invalidated" messages.

People do realize by now that it never invalidates more than one lap when it does this, right?

I got penalized for losing control in my sls for a second on Le Sarthe and went off into part of the outside of the course. I know the penalty system is made to prevent people from cheating by cutting corners & hitting others in a clean lobby, but it's too sensitive sometimes.

I had a fresh start. No messages.

During the full lap, I never received any penalties whatsoever. As soon as I hit that wall, 3 messages popped up at once.

If they really want to prevent cheating, make the cars come to almost a complete stop in the gravel pits in the chicanes. I'm in a cops & cruise club and it's nonstop Supras and corvettes plowing through the dirt. It's a pain when you're chasing someone and you look on the minimap and see them go straight through and not being able to issue a ticket.

Yes, meaning your next lap was invalidated three times, not that your next three laps were invalidated. I've had six or seven at a time before, it means nothing.

I see posts every now and then from people who seem to be making that assumption. I think I remember there being one event a long time ago that had did have a problem, but in that case just one invalidated lap was enough to eliminate all future laps.

Not that losing a full lap of the Nordschleife isn't annoying, of course.

Let's not take this any further shall we. 👍
Sorry. I won't let this happen again. :)

I remember the players in the room saying "kik greek guy"

You're right, they were of one country only, and thanks for the tip. 👍

No, I don't like the whole locking-the-user thing, a slap across the face will do (did it only once) and he learned his lesson.. I didn't mention this in the other post but before giving the car away, he ruined the tune (as revenge for losing) but he saved the car on a USB AFTER ruining the tune not BEFORE. Freakin' moron. What can I say, I have to live with him...

You should let him know that all three setting sheets are changed to match the one the car is on when it's sent, at least that way he only annoys them with the settings and not you.

Sarthe's penalty system on the Mulsanne Straight chicanes has screwed me over more times than I'd care to relate, but the most recent one was on this past Saturday.

Room was 575 PP, limited to Sports Soft with no aids on. I politely asked the host if the Amuse S2000 GT1 '04 was allowed, and he said yes. I detune mine down by dropping the downforce and re-raising the power, and get it.

Everyone else is in a Lamborghini, Ferrari, and one guy in a Mercedes SLR. We start, and on the first turn I dive to the inside and get three in one to get 2nd. Coming onto the straight though, someone divebombs me using the shortcut, gets bagged by the penalty machine - but before he does this, he hits my right rear enough to send me into a skid.

I slowed down enough to counter it, and got back going in 4th place. Coming into the damn S-turns, I brake far too early, and try to fix it by getting on the throttle early. I do that, sending the left front wheel just outside the rumble strip - and bam. Penalty.

Nearly the same thing happens on the second chicane as well, but I was tapped from behind (I watched the replay later, he looked like he went dead for a second - no input whatsoever) when the Aventador latebraked.

And on the turn leading onto the backstraight (end of the Mulsanne) I purposely swing wide to pass on the outside as I'm braking. These weren't Racing tires, and I dropped a wheel in the sand and crashed. Somehow managed 4th out of 8th, and that was mainly due to a pileup near where that one Peugeot crashed recently in the actual race.

I know, I've got loads of green cars. I'm not so keen on the Nissan R35 but it didn't look half bad. Better yet I don't even play the game LBP.

It has been online. I like two throw a little bit of tire out on the inside when i turn in and always get penalized even though most people do it and a few professionals. IT SUCKS!!

A guy I found at online rooms scammed me looking for an X1, offering an Audi R10 he didn't had. He just eliminated me from friends... But that was long time ago.

That's why I like going to that track because I would keep up easily in a shuffle race with penalties on.i always called it the penalty track.everywhere you go you get a penalty

The worst I've dealt with recently is not with any players, but with connection issues. I got disconnected from several servers today, I don't know why. It has to be either the game or my PS3, because my connection is fine on my other consoles (wii & xbox 360), and I'm using a new router.
