Meh. I always saw them as a sports car. They always tried to be a little more sophisticated than their estranged brother, the Camaro.

I'd say the late C2s and C3s were pretty muscle-y for the smog era times, but they always tried to be a bit more like sports car than ones like Camaros and Chevelles.

For Dagger's latest Versus; I'll pick the Audi R8 if it's the V10 or V10 Plus.
----------------------

To add on the "muscle car" conversation. I always considered the Chevrolet Corvette as a sports car. For the C2 & C3, I just refer to as muscle-influenced, but they still have other characteristics that keep them sporty. As for the Mustang & the cars that followed it; I just refer to them by their actual term, the "Pony Car".

It's the V10,forgot to mentionmit.

And what seperates a pony car from a muscle car? I never understood that...

From my quick research, that term was only used for early mustangs (Mustang = pony).

The Ford Mustang is the car that started the segment.

Pony cars are like muscle cars, but smaller. The term generally means a compact coupe that's affordable, stylish, and performance oriented. The Pony Cars include the Ford Mustang, Mercury Cougar, Chevrolet Camaro, Dodge Challenger, Plymouth Cuda, Ponitac Firebird, & Mercury Capri (foxbody).

R8 because you can still drive it around town without looking like a fool or a fish out of water...

Otherwise, The LFA would be my choice for the track...

Ah, okay. So, like this.

Muscle cars: Large and powerful. Chevelles, Gran Torinos, other full-size, powerful cars *cough*ImpalaSS327+*cough* :P.

Pony cars: Powerful, but smaller and handle better. All the cars you listed above.

Yup, pretty much.
Of course, you can still refer to them as muscle cars since they're based on those, but I just prefer to call them pony cars as it sounds more appropriate.

I always called them muscle cars, since they're every bit as powerful as their larger friends. But I have heard the term used on them though.

Exactly, everything in this thread is an opinion. :)

But, since my other comparison has run dry, I'm going to do another one.

Old for all, I really hate new non-sports trucks.
I would say Bel-Air because i am not familiar with the other two cars... well cars from that era for that matter...

Between the new Stang (Great car) and the M4 (awesome car) i would pick none, i am kinda sick at this point from constantly hearing about them for the past 6months... so instead, i am going to pick the... ... well i cant decide either, how about you helping me:

Which one?

A fine example of the 308

EDIT:
Truck fight:
Ford: old
Chevy: new
Dodge: new
That's hard, but I'll go with the 308.
Well, two little debates in one week, I'm on fire . Here's a new comparision. Country vs country 2.0: Supercar Style!

From America, we have the 2006 Ford GT (Assume 0 miles on it, brand new).

From Germany: The Audi R8.

Italy brings us the new California.

(Not really a supercar by definition, but I figured it could hang in there).

And Japan has... The Lexus LFA.

That's really hard between the LFA and GT. I'll take the LFA, because the GT in that picture is the one I'm assuming I'd get.

Results:
1. Lexus LFA
2. Ford GT
3. Audi R8
4. Ferrari California
