No matter what, some of you complain about every little thing. First its too easy, not its too hard.

First, it was too easy. Then, it was still too easy. And after that? Again, too easy. I've yet to find a way to get a good race out of this game. Even running cars w/ the absolute minum spec for the given series yields little result.

And are you really that surprised to find people complaining on an internet forum?

^ Wait, you struggle to win against the AI in GT5, but find Shift 2's AI too easy? That I don't get. Are you on Elite mode, no assists with AI on hard? Do you avoid the AI or bash them? Because if you don't just bash through them in Shift 2 they're very competetive. What is your winning margin in these 'too easy' races?

Exactly. The only way it could be "too easy" is if 1) you crash into them and get luck to get ahead, 2) you start races in the first or second place and then unless you make a mistake, you'll probably win.

As I said earlier:

All exaggeration aside, if I drive the same car and tires as the AI in GT5, even on tracks that I'm very familiar with, I still struggle to win. Where as w/ S2U, using the same car, I smash the bejesus out of the competition on completely unfamiliar tracks without braking a sweat. And this is with the so-called elite handling mode and hard difficulty.

In fact, I just finished a race on the Dubai track (which I've never driven before), during the course of which I mastered only 2/9 corners and easily took first in my bone stock GT-R versus the AI's GT-Rs, Ford GTs and Mercedes SLSeseses. I guarantee I've never had it so easy in GT5.

To answer your second question: No, I avoid them like the plague. The half-second or so between my controller inputs and the on-screen response means that only the most deliberate of my actions are rewarded and this does not include rubbing fenders w/ the AI.

As for the third: By a good 5-10 seconds and I don't see the AI after the first corner or two.

On a side note: Since my initial post, I've switched from using my trusty R35 GT-R to a Porsche GT3 RS, which is a bit more of a challenge, thankfully. While it doesn't handle at all like I'd thought it would, it's much more fun than stomping peasants in my giant's boot of a Skyline. I still find myself on the podium every race, but now I'm having to work a bit for first, despite the RS having 100 more PI than the GT-R.

Easy or Hard depends on a gamer's personal skills. Unless there're some in-depth study made to show global statistics, no one can make a definite statement that the game is easy (or hard).

I say GT5 is too easy, of cause some people are to disagree with me. It's OPINION. :)
