Everyone had a chance to win this race. I'm lucky to win it. @LancerEvo7 had maybe the strongest in the field along with me. @Osr20_L about pull it off with a 2 stopper to get 2nd. @Furinkazen had a equal car with me for the first hour and could've got a podium. @jammy21 I give thanks to after the wreck with @ranhammerR34, the both us drafted Mulsanne for a handful of laps.

About a equal of a race as possible.

@Osr20_L, great message at the end.:(

 Chris sneaking along.

That 3/4 wide move I pulled in Mulsanne Kink at 225mph kept me out of trouble I tell ya!

I set a new record for myself today. Managed a whopping 3 and a half laps before the disconnect. Got to be in contention for the fastest disconnect in this event. Previous record is of course held by me, at 6 laps in the 2nd season after having to sell a car, just to afford the right tyres for the Jag.

My other attempts at this event have all been Dc's, and I have totaled about 34 laps in total. I think it's safe to say this wasn't my strongest event.

I was going to say connection... :indiff: You could do so much more Sam. In ToCA I remember in T8CA I think it was, your start of season record was "WIN-DC-WIN" and repeat...

Enjoyed the race even though for the majority of it I was last of the PT class, didn't see another PT car for the last 30 laps or so. Probably didn't have the outright speed to win but may of gotten onto the podium if I went incident free.

Think I got lagged into by @Osr20_L on lap 4 which probably ruined any last shred of hope of a victory for me, then pitted on lap 16, 26, 35 and 43. was planning to do a 4 stop until my damage on lap 35.
I am very sorry cris, i remember that part i was close to you during the braking and then Lag kicked in!! Guess i neded to stay a bit farther from you :(

I was running with you and jammy until after my half spin was up the inside to try and out break jammy and then out of nowhere i'm punted off into the gravel with engine and both rear corner damage

It was fun. Finally some good old drafting :)
...@jammy21 I give thanks to after the wreck with...

Little after that he hit my rear and i got damaged. Then i have to go pit and that was my biggiest disappointment of the race. Osr20 should have had little more patience and little earlier bracking :(

I've saved the replay for myself so I can see what happens with me in the incident and I can watch yours as well

I just did watched replay and saw what happenned you.
I just don't get it why so much hurry at the beginning of the race with heavy damaged... :(

Here's the thing - to me heavy damaged race is like in real life. If your car get damaged you just have to go to pit to fixed it - it's your life in stake and other drivers. I don't wanna run race with damaged car.

It felt like fate was mocking me when I crossed the line only 80 seconds back after all that had happened. I had opted for a high downforce setup which cost me lots on the straights (I couldn't even pass most other PT's - I simply ran out of steam alongside only to have to let the other car pass again), but I was killing it in sector 1 and through the Porsche curves. I thought that would help me quite some on older tyres and with making less mistakes. In practice I had seen that drop off was a little high going past lap 10, so my plan was 4 stops on 10-lap stints. I knew that I probably wasn't going to get pole with my setup, so I was quite happy with 5th and about 1s down. I figured I would just draft along for a while, as my top speed was 10-15km/h slower than the fastest PT's.

After quite a wild start I ended up behind CJ, who was lagging, which was making it difficult to pass, which I really had to do in order not to lose the lead guys pulling away. CJ lost the car though between Porsche and Ford curves and spun right into me giving me first damage at the end of lap 2. I pulled straight into the pits and came out with a 35 sec gap to the lead. I was in two minds, if I should change my strategy to run longer stints then, but decided not to. I subsequently began questioning fate when I only ever ran into GT's through the Porsche/Ford curves or Indy/Arnage, but never on straights, losing a lot of time in the process.

I pitted at lap 12, and after the first round of stops the gap was down to 20 seconds. Except for a minor slide that cost me some seconds, I managed to keep the gap between 20 and 30 seconds. After another stop, on lap 26 I was making up time and as I was flying through the first part of Indianapolis I suddenly see Furi stationary on the outside and when I look back to the centre of the road, there's another red car (Lancer?) there creeping along. Well, it was until I hit its back and propelled it into the gravel. There was just no room and not enough time to react to anything in that moment. Crept back to the pits, came out about 1:30 down.

There was another off somewhere in there when Randy was off-roading in the esses after Dunlop kicking up a lot of dust, so I went wide to the left in the right-hander to avoid him, got on the grass, made it back onto the track without damage, only to spin on dirty tyres in Tetre Rouge. Jammy, who I had just overtaken as he came out of the pits (very cool moment, by the way!) a lap earlier, passed me back and I went after him about 5 seconds behind.

I still thought I could gain a couple of positions at that point, as I would only have to stop one more time and most others would be stopping twice. Everything went nicely for a while until I lost concentration on Mulsanne, and when I came up to Lout in his Alpine close to Indianapolis, I simply misjudged where I was and completely missed the braking point. Stupid, and completely my own fault. Cue "Creeping back to pits from Indianapolis, part II". That was on lap 36, so juuuust inside the point where I could theoretically make it to the end.

I was actually inside of 1 minute back, gaining, and everyone ahead had one stop left, so it still didn't look too bad. That was until I caught up with Yeratel & Lout at Indianapolis on lap 44. Got by Yeratel through the first one, then went for the inside on the exit to overtake Lout ... when he slightly lost his rear accelerating out and gave me some more damage to my right front. As I would have been very much on the edge of the tyres by the last laps, I thought it better to come in to repair. 1:40 behind when I got out, and managed to get it down to 1:20 by the end, but no position gain in that.

Could have been so much better, but Indy was my fate that night. Oh well, Championship is practically over for me with that result. Congrats to the winners & podiums!

When you pass me there i was really hoping some good bumbing and drafting with two of us to get some good laps, but that didn't happened and i was feeling sorry for you.

I'm sorry about withdrawing early. After silly incidents in the early stages it was clear that I was not in the right mental state to drive, mostly because of not sleeping the night before. I would have carried on but I had a feeling I'd ruin people's races.

That's OK mate, I bailed last season at Le Mans after 17 laps as I too was not in the right frame of mind.

I don't feel like waiting until 11pm to catch the F1 highlights on BBC.

These don't capture the live timing, do they...? :indiff:

Well if you watch the coverage on Sky Sports F1 and watch it live via the red button you have a choice of:

The televised race
At least 3 onboard car cameras
Live timing
Pit radio
Race tracker

My interest in F1 has dropped a fair amount over the years so I just watch the replay if I'm bored or have nothing else to do.

Agreed. I'm glad they are having new engines and manufacturers to shake it all up. Hoping this is the last year Vettle keeps winning championships.

Good race review snow :D
Although your outcome wasn´t satisfying for you.

@little F1 discussion: When Redbull gives Vettel atleast a semi-decent Car no-one will beat him. He is a machine behind the Wheel. For example take Singapur race:
Rosberg fought with him for P1 for only 1 corner. At the end of the Lap he was already 1.8 seconds away from Rosberg and when DRS could be activated he was 5 seconds => gone with the wind

It is not only the Car which is 100%ly the fastest it´s also the driver.

But I hope for a super exiting F1 season next year.

B2T: My thumb isn´t broken => just my Hand => I might be able to do GT6 at release.
At the moment I have a little bit tooo much pain when trying to "race" in GT5.

I haven't been at home for the last few days so I haven't been able to put a proper post up here.

Le Mans was fairly decent for me this time round, although I can't help but feel I'd have won it if I didn't get bumped into at the start :/

Most of my race was spent catching up to the lead pack, which I managed to do eventually thanks to my pretty decent pace.

I'd like to apologise to @Yeratel84 for bumping you off the track at Mulsanne corner, a combination of how close we were running and crappy tires didn't help the situation. I'd also like to apologise to @snowgt for not realising you were coming up behind me and not giving you enough space, ruined both of our races.

Your impact at the start was caused by Yeratel as he must have suffered a lag spike and he also suffered damaged and his front right wheel was toeing out pretty badly, so much so that you could hear the tyre screeching over the engines of Yeratel, Fraiser and myself.

Ah that makes sense. Hardly surprising, I can't remember the last WSC race I took part in where lag hasn't been present.

Well I must be really lucky as I experience very little lag if any. I see others lagging a bit as I did on Sunday. Suppose I have my internet connection to thank for that.

Usually its ok with the cars just jumping around a tiny bit. Its never completely fine though.

At it's best my download speed is around 3Mbps
