phew! that was a tough race. I literally spent most of practice lying in bed with my face in the pillow and did not think I would be able to race let alone finish. Luckily I evacuated the contents of my stomach when quali started and felt well enough to race. Also lucky that Daytona has so much downtime on the banking and that I have a wheel and can drive with one hand while the other held my head up (once I got into 5th gear)...

obviously did not have the pace but was surprisingly consistent and that worked out well for me. Ran into chris on the very first lap though, sorry chris I was totally caught out by you going so slow at the bus stop, did you crash going into the corner? Was trying to go to the right of you but totally misjudged how fast I was closing in on you.

So I had heavy damage on first lap and chris and I pitted at the same time and had a decent battle for a few laps but I thought my race was pretty much over before it began, only had to do one real pit stop though and Adam I guess did 2 so thats how we ended up close at the finish. Tough luck on crashing in turn 1 Adam, I did the same thing 1 or 2 laps earlier when you got past me but managed to keep it out of the wall, was my only off of the race.

Really shocked to have gotten a podium, really lucky too. Good race everyone 👍

Its a pity you Yanks don't have Real Ale. No hangover, no upchuck, no problem.

If Ford don't who PT?

Furi wtf.

*Waits for "Is tired" excuse.*

Can I just point out an inconsistency in the rules?

  • According to your post, Furi, Lout gets full points, because he DC'd after the 2/3s mark for the GT-class.
  • Nevertheless, he's classified behind all others that finished the race (and completed more laps). He therefore gets 2 points, I assume. (Fox wrote "1" - don't know why)
  • Now, I don't know exactly in which position he DC'd, but if he was 2nd at the time, according to the half-points rule, he would get 4 points, had he DC'd at any point before the 2/3 mark.
If you DC or DNF before the 2/3rds mark of the race distance, then you will get half points for your position.

So, Lout would have been better off DC'ing earlier...? :odd:

Revised Points

Yeratel - 12

Lout - 2
DriftKing - 0

I think it's if he DC'd before 2/3 race distance, he gets half points for whatever position he classifies in. If he were to classify 5th (normally 4pts) following a DC on lap 32 of 60, he'd get 2pts for 5th place.

Shame I couldn´t do Daytona.
My Practice times: 2:07.6xx in the 440pp Miura I picked with a prety nice Colourscheme (you´ll see and notice it at Monza).

Hope to be competitive at my GT5 TOP Track (always did great here TOCA, FGT, ITCC, BST, Monaro-Cup) :D

Aaaaah, now I think i understand. That makes much more sense.

I just got that wrong then - please forget my earlier post, Furi.

Yera! Was waiting for you to pop up. I watched it as well. Interlagos would be nice as well for GT6 and WSC :)

I'm going to watch the conference tomorrow, but at first I got scared because the first news article I read about this was a brazilian one where one could interpret that the Senna portion of the game was exclusive to the brazilian market...

Did some laps at Monza. Miura feels great here and I think Tirelife is not an issue for Lambo.
2:09 low maybe I can break in the 08´s without draft.
