I was really surprised that Monza was only 44 laps. When this changed?
I noticed that after my pitstop - run out of fuel.
How many laps on Nurburg?

I mentioned it after last week. Nurb is 24hr layout, 15 laps.

With a bang on line, the Ferrari can take it at 240kph/150mph...
While I in the Shelby Mustang can do 144 mph at best.

No rain at all until after the checkers flew. Wouldn't you know...?

For me it was pretty much a OK race, though I only had 2 smacks with the inside wall at Curva Grande giving me negligible problems with the right front. Heck, I think I did my best lap with right front damage!:boggled:

As for Nurburgringu next week, I'll probably do more race-driving than racing given how that track is set up.

Monza is always a horrible race for me and this one was no exception. I just was happy to survive this place. If I hit anyone or scared the hell out of you when crashing today, I am very sorry. On to another place that I don't do too well at, The Green Hell, or the Ring.

Going to be busy this next week. Don't expect me to be put anything up, be it tables / previews / etc until saturday.

Sorry I could not make it tonight Gents. I really had a shot at podium this evening, ho hum. :grumpy:

I have now had my 2 dropped scores :irked:

Here's another thing I had to centend with during today's race. Any of you remember the Fanatec ClubSport Wheelstand? During the race, the knob at the base whose primary purpose is to keep the vertical post in position was coming loose making the post wobble back towards me. I had to contend with this until I made my mandatory pit stop where I got my chance to tighten the knob back up so that I would have a stable stand for the rest of the race.

Mine does that. I have to do a sort of manoeuvre to hold the car in a straight line and tighten it up.

It's well known that any set of tyres you fit after your first pit stop don't offer the same amount of grip as the one you started the race with... that's why I only made my sole pit stop on lap 30 of 39, and even then I was only between 0.7-1 second faster than I was with older tyres...

Right, you see, I would have thought it had something to do with that, but I think the problem was there maybe even from race start. I had not taken Curva Grande at full speed until lap 4, because we were always close there so I lifted early, and once I did this behaviour occurred immediately. I had never experienced it, which is why I was completely taken by suprise. I kept shaking my head for the remainder of the race, because the car felt so different than ever before. It's like the lateral grip was a couple of percent lower, so the car would exaggerate every bit of sliding and when you initiated the turn to 'throw' your car into the corner it would have the tendency to go sideways. That's why I had to drive like on eggshells in order not to lose it.

If car physics are a lottery now whenever you start a race, we can pack it in with GT. I just hope this was a one-time occurrence.

Monza suits the Cobra a lot more than Silverstone does. Nurb looks like it could be a Ferrari track.

With 600hp I should hope it does suit the Cobra.

That's why I'm not a great fan of mixing GTs and Protos into one class; the protos are too fast in the corners so the GTs have to be made much faster to compensate. :indiff:

I haven't done a clean lap yet, but I imagine we could be looking at 10 minute laps in GT-O.

<<< = Psychic :D

And how much of that lap was flat-out racing on your part, Ryan?

85% of it was. I do not know the 'ring completely but I do know that it helped me a lot practicing with the FGT there back in GT5. Still though, I know I can improve.

Thanks guys. the calender said otherwise and I recalled someone saying 24. So that means so far, 9:49. No way I'm 20 seconds slower then you @R0ssingt0n Guess I'll have to look into connecting those corners to the best of my ability. Ferrari's pretty loose on the course.
