I didn't see rain in that GT6 trailer, obviously it doesn't have it....

All I'm saying, is that for the past 4 Forzas, I've wondered when they were doing rain. I thought, come on, Forza, stop making games with races that feel unchanging, and hoped Forza 5 would make a big deal out of that.

So, this is going to be yet another Forza 2, with better graphics and new cars?
Would be nice if it was actually. I would like to see the Forza 2 lobby system, the Forza 2 car classes where race cars were in classes of their own and Super cars went from S to U and did not enter R classes and of course the ability to tune in a lobby.

The graphics have improved, there are more cars and the gifting loading tunes is better but overall I would rather have an updated Forza 2 over Forza 3 or 4

Why don't they try to add rain?! I'm shocked.

Please, tell us more about the game since you seem to know what it's going to be like.

E3 is in less than three weeks.

No your not, you looked at a 2 minute trailer and summed up the whole game.

Please stop with the sarcasm, I'm speaking from the past, not the future. I was hoping to see rain and things that would make the racing less "I'm always driving on a perfect, warm, sunny day" and more "is it about to rain? :nervous: I'm on dry tires."

I agree with that. Forza 2 was the best Forza.

They gave a perfectly good reason for not doing rain.

Basing your thoughts off a teaser is bad though. They were simply announcing the game existed, dropping rain (one of the most requested features) in a teaser would be stupid.

I think both of you guy's are right in your own way. MrMelancholy15 I understand what you're saying and to be honest the trailer had me underwhelmed, but at the same time it's only a teaser video. Trust me the FM team knew exactly what they were doing when they released that trailer. When E3 gets here we will get a better impression of the game. 👍 I really want to get this new Xbox and FM5, but I have a CSR so I hope it works day one with it. If it does not I will wait to see if it gets patched then buy. In the end it's going to be great gaming in the future with FM5 and GT6 coming out. 👍

Edit: Yes FM2 was my favorite FM game also, even though FM1 had night racing and great tracks. Matter fact Come on T10 bring them back!

The actual trailer itself was more like 1 minute. There was a lot of logos and screens in the beginning and in the end that I wouldn't really count as actual game itself. And even with what we seen we don't know much at all.

I now REALLY want to know more about FM5 come E3

Well, don't expect them to show all the goods at once. To me, this trailer just confirms that FM5 does exist and it's coming to the Xbox One. In my opinion, that's all they needed to inform us about and that's good enough for me until E3, which will begin in a few mere weeks.

The hinted advancement in tire wear (or debris on the tires if that's what they were trying to show) is more interesting to me than rain. The majority of racing is done in dry weather, so obviously I'd like to see more emphasis on getting that right.

But I still want rain!

So you only hate it when Forza does it but not anyone else? That doesn't exactly help your case on the point you're trying to make.

Nope not only when Forza does it, just that style I said. Maybe it's just more obvious to me with a car game as I'm into that kind of thing. If I was into washing up liquid or something, I might hate certain washing up liquid adverts that make claims that are highly subjective and bordering on lies every time they bring out a new product. But because I'm not into it, I don't take any notice of it.

Why does it matter to you so much what I think about it? Feels a little odd I'm asked to explain my opinion to you about something so trivial. I don't claim to be an advertising expert or anything. It would annoy me just as much if GT6 adverts said the same thing, if that makes you feel any better.

I guess I will mention this here too since this is the Forza Planet forum. For those that didn't hear yet..

Xbox One will have dediated servers for EVERY multiplayer game!!

https://twitter.com/JamesStevenson/status/336955409187348482

Some people don't seem to realize how amazing it will be to have dedicated servers for EVERY multiplayer game. So I will try to clear up the confusion.

Current servers are person to person (P2P). You would be the host and I join your game. Most games pick a random host. If the host in the P2P has a crappy connection, everyone in the game sees lag, hit detection, and connection problems. You also see host migration with this setup. If the host leaves, the game pauses, finds a new host, and then continues playing again. This is how most online games work like COD, Halo and most other games.

In dedicated servers like BF3, the server is the host. You join and leave that server without interrupting anyone in the game, along with no host migration. If you have a crappy connection it does not effect everyone in the game. Only YOU see the lag. Dedicated servers are THE best online experience you can possibly get but it is very rare for games to have dedicated servers.

This has never happened. Not on PC, not on the PS3, not on 360. To have dedicated servers for EVERY multiplayer game would be an innovative revolution for gaming. Beyond incredible.

I come and go. sometimes I do not see where others have replied so ....

I don't know where you may have been talking about. I did see one where you responded to me and I responded then apparently you responded again but I did not see the response. There for a while I was not checking the forum very often as there really was not much new going on.

Its understandable, I wasnt implying that you where running away. You just go awol when I happen to get a reply in lol.

Didnt want to post again as I already have in other threads.

So you guys haven't got a problem with the Xbox One? I like FM5 but I don't like the new console at all, it's a money-grabbing box. Sorry T10, it's a real shame that you have to work for such a greedy company like Microsoft, I like your games but I won't put up with Microsoft's BS this time.

My biggest problem with the Xbox One is the fact that the current Fanatec wheels will not be compatible with it. Because of that, I won't be getting a One for a long time. I'm going to stick my PS3 and 360 until things get better.

After some of the things I have been seeing about the Xbox One if they hold to be true then there will not be an XBox One in my house and as much as I have enjoyed Forza over the last few years 4 may end up be that last in the series for me.

Is it?? I don't play used games and the only peripheral I'm likely to buy is some headphones. Live is a service I'm willing to pay for and that's about it right??

Now this is the type of comments in the GT6 thread. LOL
just wow.

I wasnt impressed by pretty much anything at the announcement.I dont like how console looks, it looked like a old cable box or vhs, the cloud computing hints that always on is a strong possibility. The possibilities for Cloud computing would be dope ( basically you would be able to push a game further than the hardware allows AFAIK) but the tech isnt here yet and wont be for awhile so an always on console isnt smart.Forza is to xbox what GT is to PS.I only want a xbox for Forza, but if always on is real and it dont allow for used games (no more gamefly) than I dont see myself getting one anytime soon.

Azure.... 300,000 servers, 20x what Live is now, cloud computing is the next ethernet cable/ xbox Live/HD gaming. Reality, while many of us don't like it, the majority of the time we are online on the 360, simply because the 360 is nothing without it. No bells no whistles. It will simply enhance the games WHILE we are connected for now. If in the future always online is needed, and as the infrastructure grows, so will our games... call me a dreamer but I like the direction. I will support the future, since this industry is going downhill on the same tired principles

It's obviously GT6 is not correcting any of the errors of GT5.

This will be the only post here.

How do you know GT6 WON'T be what GT5 was suppose to be? Honestly. If it's because you thought that due to ONE trailer, than be quiet.

Now I'm bringing this back on topic and will be heading back out of this fourm. Nuff said.

Some media I pulled from the trailer

I would say that the opposite is closer to the truth. We have saw several updates to GT5 already which corrected several things in the game and added some new features and options. I think it is totally logical to assume there will be more of this in GT6 and more still after release in the form of additional updates.

The return of standards and a very similar damage model. I'm not saying that they aren't making improvements (updated physics and tire model are very welcome), but I still wouldn't say that this is the final product that many were expecting.
