I found that all the regional varieties of cars are in the PAL game. I found the Exxon 206 for example. Trying to find the SVT Cobra now. There's an extra for but I think it's a regional Escort or Focus (Esso/Exxon maybe)

Yeah, I remember that one. And the Rufs don't have colour names. (I cannot think of any others that have no colour names)

Found a weird ZZ-S "ro0003"

Really shiny

I'm afraid that's it. There are plenty more on the internal car list that aren't in the cars folder though, they're probably in the NTSC versions or the demos. If anyone has any demos I would appreciate a download.

Also, cars in GT3 have interiors. If you manage to be inside a car you can see it clearly. Normally you cannot do this by being inside a ghost, but for licence B-1, you can. Play it, redo it then have the ghost on. Sometimes the ghost is behind/ahead by a fraction, and you can see the interior. I've also seen the R32 GT-R interior via a glitch.

tahaiti_road is empty.

Here are the cars on the list that aren't in PAL if anyone wants to check them out:
ar0019 (Alfa 156 touring car)
ho0100 (Xenn already found it)
lo0024 (Lotus, may be just the 99T already in NTSC)
lo1024 (Lotus, may be a regional 99T)
ma0097 (Mazda)
ml0001 (McLaren? The fact there's three even though 1 of the 3 should be in PAL, is because in PAL, the car is a "pd" not a "ml")
ml0002 (McLaren?)
ml0003 (McLaren?)
pd0001-pd0010 (Samples presumably)
wl0001-wl0003 (Williams?)
wl1001-wl1003 (Williams regional?)

Going to search for car parts now that body searching is complete. Naturally, I'm starting with the Bugattis (although I think Xenn already said they don't exist).

found "class_x" among the class c, b, a etc but may just mean garage.

Edit: no, class_x is not garage or guest, they have separate entries

It seems class X has been removed from the game, normally you can just edit the entries and get the class you want, but class X doesn't work at all.

Yes, it had only one entry, whereas the other classes had 2 or 3 (can't remember).

Also, I searched for the Clubsport and the EB110, they have loads of entries, including a couple that refer to textures, with the strings “clubsport_r8_00.img” and "eb110_00.img" respectively. I think there may be a chance they have parts like the Vector does, but my knowledge limits me from going deeper. I can find strings in the iso, but I don't know how to use them.

Perhaps the "r50_00" is a Pathfinder R50 2000. I believe the Skylines' names start with "r3X" so it could be, although the Mini idea seems more sensible, there wouldn't have been any other 4WDs for it to race against otherwise.

Here's a glitch that I don't know if it is on your games:
Grand Valley's name is misplaced on Endurance race:

That always happened to me. I think it's just a general glitch though, doesn't happen with any other event. Happened across different consoles and discs for me.

I also remember that GV 300 glitch. That race was also the only enduro I've done in any GT. Miraculously, I managed to win the Polyphony001! A 1 in 8 chance I believe (1 in 4 of getting F1, then 1 in 2 for the P001 not the P002).

Then Class X could be LM cars?
Yes, but they are in S, unless they were going to be separate. Perhaps F1?

So, who posted this in the TCRF forum?
shagia (TCRF forums)
Currently venturing through Gran Turismo 3's audio files, aaaaaand there's a lot of slowed down / pitched down drum samples, guitar notes / slides, and plenty of other instruments that I'm preeeetty sure I've never heard while playing this game. A lot of the samples / loops actually fade out at the end like the Car RPM sounds.

I personally thought the game uses recorded music but it looks like the music is 'live' or this might have been just cut content, currently not sure....

anyway here's some sped up examples:

<a href="http://deadformant.com/shagia/jul/GT3 sounds/1.mp3" target="_blank">some sick ass (poorly looped) breaks</a>

<a href="http://deadformant.com/shagia/jul/GT3 sounds/2.mp3" target="_blank">some loop that sounds like it came from rob base & dj ez rock's it takes two</a>

<a href="http://deadformant.com/shagia/jul/GT3 sounds/3.mp3" target="_blank">another drum loop </a>

<a href="http://deadformant.com/shagia/jul/GT3 sounds/4.mp3" target="_blank">a crash sample i swear i've heard before</a>

<a href="http://deadformant.com/shagia/jul/GT3 sounds/5.mp3" target="_blank">a 'pad' sound, not sure if it's correctly cleaned since I've never heard it before</a>

<a href="http://deadformant.com/shagia/jul/GT3 sounds/7.mp3" target="_blank">two of the menu sounds from the game which are not cut (not sure about the second one)</a>

<a href="http://deadformant.com/shagia/jul/GT3 sounds/8.mp3" target="_blank">and some music that plays at the start of a race that was already properly pitched</a>

There's also a piano piece that I'm also sure didn't make it in the game.

The drum loops and/or the breaks may have been beta license failed songs? The menu one, the second sound is nowhere to be heard. Crash sample sounds like the "tiss" from the GT2 menu theme. The pad is new to me.
And if the breaks were not beta license failed songs, it could be a pre-race song maybe?

They're from GT2000 and other demos that used the older menu themes. For some reason the samples used is still in the final game.

They're lower sampled here, and are much higher sampled in the menus they're used on.

You can hear them here.

The R50 may be a Mini Cooper 2000, not a Pathfinder The R3X, it may be or R30 or a R31.

No, I mean it starts with an r and a 3 then another number (r33, r34 etc)

I also found a music file that was a race start music for GT4, but was never used in GT3 (attached to an earlier post)

The early version GT3 graphics sort or remind me of Sega GT's graphics. I sort of like how they were rendered, but of course; I'm happier with how the game looks in it's production form.
