I'd prefer the aero headlights, but the wheels mess it up. Could have raised the parts bin for these at the least.

Or they could have just imported the Opel/Vauxhall Monza which was the coupe version of the Rekord that the Holden was a re-badge of.

A 1-liter inline 4-cylinder engine from a Yamaha motorcycle was mounted in the center position, producing 145 hp and 105 Nm. The engine was mated to a 5-speed gearbox from Weismann and later Yamaha, which with an additional transmission on the rear axle, controlled by a separate lever, gave a total of 10 ratios . The car weighed a mere 355 kilograms, which meant that nearly 410 horsepower per ton. The Rocket reach 100 km/h in just 4 seconds and accelerated to 225 km/h, not to mention the agility of a predatory cat and handling with scalpel precision.

In addition to the road-going Rocket, which sold for £40,000, LCC prepared a track version with its own racing series in mind. There were also briefly reports of a new model with a 310 hp V8 engine on the horizon. The company sold a total of about 50 units of the Rocket.

I also think most of the design influence for the PT Cruiser came from the 1937 Ford Slantback.

I honestly just learned thanks to Donut Media about this. The Ford Expedition SVT Thunder, I guess a sister vehicle to the F150 SVT Lightning. It's a wonder that it never went into production then or now considering Ford's current push for SUVs.

I know it was made as an experimental vehicle, but still.

Beat you by 4.5 years!

Forgot I saw this a couple of days ago, and apparently they're rare as golden poo in my toilet. i saw it driving and saw the Audi rings making me scratch my head in disbelieve, as I had never seen a small Audi like this.

Audi 50. Essentially a more luxurious Polo. Designed and build side by side with the Polo, but outsold by it so Audi stopped building them.

And from the Dutch wiki page : Because they were build with 70's Italian quality steel almost all of the 180000 cars build have rusted away. in 2005 a little over 500 were known to the German authorities and most likely a lot less are still driveable

Ah still haven’t seen many of them.

The Cutlass Salon also came in a 3 or 5-door notchback configuration, which I find interesting.

I also like the "International Series" badging on the Cutlass you posted, and interestingly it was never actually offered on the 70s Cutlass models. It was a fairly common thing on Cutlass Cieras and Calais's of the late 1980s.

I don't imagine there are too many left.

That Cutlass Salon is likely one of few remaining as well. If I recall correctly, you could only get a Colonnade Salon sedan in '73, with the top level trim pared back to only the formal roof coupe for '74 and until the Colonnades were downsized for '78. After downsizing, Salons returned to both 2- and 4-door varieties and all utilized a fastback shell, the 2-door being shared with the 442.

Looked like it was garage kept and maybe with low miles and no rust.

2008-2009 Saab 9-7X Aero. Obviously I've heard of the Saab 9-7X, a rebadged and more luxurious Chevrolet Trailblazer, but I was unaware of the short-lived, top-of-the-line Aero package. This was Saab's version of the Trailblazer SS and had the same specs; a 6.0L V8 making 390hp, allowing for a 0-60 time of 5.6 seconds.
