How do I end up not getting FriendZoned, and just get the girl to like me?

Only she knows the answer to that my friend.

Make your intentions known early on, from the start if best. In this society, men are still expected to be the ones to ask women out (unless you date a hardcore feminist). Thus, a woman typically isn't going to ask you & it won't be long til' they begin to think you're not interested if you've been hanging out for a while, thus you become her friend.

If a girl really likes you though, she may give you a little more time to ask (she's holding out for your move) or give you obvious little signs she's interested in you (which should give you the go ahead to just ask). I got lucky with my girl because this is the route we took.

You just gotta ask, though.

The only girlfriend I had literally had to say "I really like you" before I realised hmm maybe I should ask her out now  Oh I'm hopeless.

I have the worst love predicament.

My best friend started a rumour that I fancied his sister.

Catch? 2 years younger than me and in a public school, that's forbidden territory.

Second catch? Eerily and awkwardly, I actually do.

EDIT: Did I say, she was out of my league.

I'd be abused quite a lot if everyone found out who I fancied. She's a scene kid and in my school (30% chav 30% popular kids) I would never here the end of it.

Meh I'm hopeless at asking girls out.. Any time I asked I got a no, even though it seemed obvious she liked me. (Trusted me with her fb password and was kinda flirting with me.)

Been with two girls and they had to get a friend to ask me both times because I didn't realise it.

Still waiting on the first kiss though..

This has probably been said many a time before but, it's damn well worth the wait!

So this is what happens when you're not busy running the NASCAR series... :sly:

Sounds like a friend zone thing there.

Exactly.. This is direct to all the guys who are still waiting. I know you's are probably nervous as a Ma' 🤬 around a girl, let alone the one who have a crush/whateveryoucallit on.. But if you do get the courage to go up to her.. Look her in her eyes.. Tell her how you feel and all that other mushy crap.. It WILL send a message to her.. And honestly.. How bad can a 'no' be.. Every single person on Earth has heard that word before so you know that your not just gonna explode from hearing it... Asking my current missus to be my gf was very nerve-racking.. I kinda cause some beef between me and about 50 kids I went to school who hated her as well.. So it was lose everyone for her.. Or lose her for fake friends.. I made the right choice.. 18 months next Monday :)

At high school, it is.

Two years is seen as okay in my school.. I've seen worse go without much comment tbh..

I personally at this age wouldn't go below 15, just for the ease of mind. If I was with a 14 year old girl it's just feel wrong..

That is true... Being a senior, I know a friend who was dating a sophomore and boy was he looked down upon by a lot. I suppose in teenage years it's mainly about how close people are in age... Speaking of which there's this cute freshman girl who recently moved here and is in our school. :boggled: Of course, it's probably too late for that nonsense.

I guess it varies from school to school but there is a girl in our year going out with an 16 year old. That's generally quite bad at our school

Gender might have to do with that. Apparently it's alright if younger girls date the older guys, but the other way around is viewed very much the opposite. At my school at least. Knew a girl who was dating a younger guy. She told me how "awkward" it was. From what I can conclude from most high school relationships is:

  • Age for the girl can be less than the guy's, but not over.
  • The girl must be shorter if not NEARLY the same height.
  • Of course, in my school cliques matter and determines on who they are with... (jock, nerd, you know the rest...)
  • The guy always needs to be the one doing the paying. My female friend I used earlier would often complain about her younger boyfriend having her pay for things like movie tickets. They broke up soon afterwards...

Would have more, but I'm not that much of an intelligent person on relationships. Mainly just from observations... :dunce:

Doesn't seem any worse than 17 year old girls dating guys right outside of high school & in college.

Give ya'll some advice. This mindset is cute in high school. Once these girls get out in the real world, they're going to be dumped like flies if they stick to it. Men don't want trophy wives when they realize they can't support both of them; they want women who can give back into the relationship financially. And the girls who don't believe they have to are superficial idiots who aren't wife material anyway.

Backing up what Ross said, there's a 17 year old girl with a 16 year old boy together in my school.
Good friends with them both. Been together since August.

Do any of you guys find it annoying when there is a couple next to you in public that are all over each other?

Sometimes I stand real close to them to make them uncomfortable.

Said (Post before yours) couple are often all over each other.

I just ignore it.

If they're just going at it & it's starting to become borderline indecent exposure, then it is a bit annoying.

If I know them though (& there's a few lol), then that's something I do. :dopey:

My friend got into a confrontation with a guy and girl on a train in NYC.

Dude tried to act hard, but luckily my friend had his black belt with him (he was coming back from the dojo) and just laid it on his lap.

Suffice to say, we got a good laugh out of that one.
