Are there any other premium Le Mans car beside the two Peugeots and the R10 TDI in the new car dealer?

Do we even know if they are adding that one yet? They should hit up all this years new prototypes and put them in the new car dealer with a bunch of different liverys

 Not holding my breath, but I'd love it if we got that DLC. My favorites are the 905 and the BMW V12.

Yeah, go BMW V12, that's my favorite too! However I find myself in the R10 more for the shear fact that I love the open cockpit Le Mans cars the best and the R10 is the only one (I know of) with the cockpit view. What a shame, because the BMW V12 LMR is my favorite Le Mans car ever, as when I think Le Mans, I think of the 1999 24 Hours of Le Mans.

Wait, is the only difference between premium and standerd cars that the premium cars have cockpit cameras and the standerd cars don't?

No rotary engine will EVER be reliable, apex seals are too poor for that.

Except in 1991 at the 24 Hours of Le Mans:)

I know where you are coming from about the rotary engines not being the most reliable as in the RX-7's specifically. I knew a few guys with the FD's and 1 of them blew the engine twice due to, ta daaaa, apex seals. But the other never had a problem because he meticulously maintained the cars oil level. These engines burn a lot of oil so if you don't keep up with weekly maintenance you will have a problem. Apex seals NEED oil to keep working as designed. Low oil will be the death of it every time. Its a pain in the but compared to reciprocating engines as a whole.

I for one would just rip out that rotary and swap in a 2jz in an RX7 if I had one and call it a day.👍 Best of both worlds.

the 908 and 787b 908 and 787b has cockpit and 908 can be tuned but I don't have a 787b I got to borrow it from a friend but there around 4m and 5m

I love them all, and buy one anytime I see it in the UCD. Most recently I aquired the R92 but haven't driven it yet, and I'm using the Bentley in our ALMS series. I have to say that my favorite to drive is the Gt-One, but the XJR-9 is growing on me.

I didnt say that is was as powerful Im just stating that its an insane car and was capable of 800 BHP while the other cars were running the same, it also was running carburetors and fully mechanical

Never say never in the engineering world.

That rotary in the 787B managed to win the 24 hours, on its reliability and fuel consumption.

As for my favorite?

Right now its all of them. I really can't decide which is my favorite because each car has nuances that make them all similar yet different.

Toyota GT-One, Toyota Minolta 88C-V, Mazda 787B, Nissan R390 GT1, Nissan R89C, Nissan R92C, Bentley Speed 8 and Jaguar XJR-9.

Dude, talk to me about this ALMS series? Accepting another driver? I drive clean and would love to get in with your ALMS series. My PSN ID is ken_b

Let me know, that sounds like great fun, be it I'm a fan of the ALMS. In fact, my bro was working for Audi, and hooked up pit access at last years ALMS at the Long Beach Gran Prix. What a blast, oh and the beer was free!!

Peace.

I've always liked the Nissan R92CP (in my DP :) ) and the Mazda 787B. The Nissan is pure awesome, and I'll pick up the Mazda if and when I can save up enough credits.

It's a social group here on GTP, I don't manage it, but we probably have room for one more.

These are all great, (Dont have the R390 though)... The Audi R10 & the 2x Peoguet are also great, (They are ALL fantastic rides)...

Cant seem to get the Sauber though (The one i really want). :nervous:

I have the 908, BMW V12 LMR, and the R10 TDI and even though I personally love the BMW the most of my Le Mans car, I deffinently choose and prefer the R10 TDI with the only fact being that it has the onboard cockpit camera angle. Having the in car completes te experience and I find it very unfortunate that only 3 have it and not my personal favorite 3 either.

I'm loving my Bentley, loads of torque but she handles so great. I've been having fun tearing up La Sarthe with her 👍

The Audi R8 is the best, maybe it's my brilliant setup for it, but it's the easiest car in the world to drive for me. The GT-One is faster, but not as easy to drive, that's why the R8 is my favorite.

I like all of them though, except the R10.

Going by my own overall results, here is my list.

1. Nissan R92CP Race Car '92 - The most powerful Le Mans car, also very stable and brakes better than most of the others
2. Sauber Mercedes C9 Race Car '89 - Very close to the R92CP
3. Toyota Minolta 88C-V - Although I don't like driving it as much as the above cars, it comes very close
4. Toyota GT-ONE Race Car '99
5. Audi R8 Race Car '01
6. Mazda 787B Race Car '91 - But it's premium so that's an automatic bonus
