So what happened to all the guys who were sure the Official PSM must be right and standards would look better than anything in GT5P?
Game journalism happens. There were obviously wrong about that, probably something lost in the translation.

Anyways, the whole standard car issue bears a pretty big "Told ya!" feeling now.

It's not that hard to ID them with the GTP guides for GT4... even with the awful video quality.
And you were the guy on day one who pointed out how atrocious the bot cars looked in Forza, eagle eye?Im one of those who can easily spot the standards even in those videos.
But more than that I was wondering where they have dissapeared off to when just a day or two ago they were adament that it was true....
but the cars standard have internal visual (cockpit) or not? still it has not been understood because in 5 years only 200 cars premium are indeed little if the standard they do not have the cockpit
thanks!
Nissan SilEighty '98
5 years only for premium cars ?!ok, but 5 years for convert the car of gt4 is inacceptable, today all the games can have 200 cars as the premium and does not demand 5 years but!
it was better to even have all the inner ones even if with an inferior quality
when you look back in cockpit mode , you see back interior. I dont know any console game with this view. in other games when you look back , you see out of your car.
200 GT cockpits are real cockpits ! when you look back in cockpit mode , you see back interior. I dont know any console game with this view. in other games when you look back , you see out of your car.
Yeah, pretty much.In your opinion.![]()
Just one little question. What's with the obsession with Forza? It's a bad thing in Forza, but it doesn't make it any better if something comparable happens in GT5, does it?And you were the guy on day one who pointed out how atrocious the bot cars looked in Forza, eagle eye?![]()
Yeah, pretty much.
"They'll have cockpit view!" No, they don't, just as a few people, including myself, said they won't.
"They'll look like the cars from Prologue!" No, they don't, just as a few people, including myself, said they won't.
"The differences between standards and premiums will be barely noticeble!" No, they are noticible, even in a low-res Youtube video.
So yeah, up to this point, it does bear a certain 'Told ya!' feel to me. It totally does. And it was to be expected. For the simple reason that those few people just went with simple logic.
And in my opinion, Devedander is right. There were a lot of people claiming a lot of stuff and now that it's obvious they were wrong, they're nowhere to be seen or heard.
Whether you, me, or anyone else things it looks good or not doesn't even matter in this case.Key word to you, I think the Shelby mustang looks very good as many other members on the planet agree.

Is there a noticible difference when compared to premiums? Yes.
Do they look like the cars in Prologue? No.
Do they have cockpit view? No.
That's what I was going at. Those things were adamantly denied by a lot of people. And they did turn out to be true. That simple.
today all the games can have 200 cars as the premium and does not demand 5 years
OK. So to add to my list of concerns about Standards:
Paint (wheels and body).
On top of:
Cockpits, customisation, race mods and sound.
Quoting myself to ensure immediate entry to hell.
I forgot about tuning options, which it seems have been expanded for the standard cars (going by the video showing the Shelby GT350). 👍
Sound also seems to have been changed from GT4, at least for that Motul Civic '87.
I'm still confident that Standards might be paint-able, at least in the stock schemes, but in non-stock colours - this impression is due to the way car's colours changed in GT3 when scrolling the swatches.
Aftermarket wheel painting; also no problem.
That leaves cockpit (confirmed absent), hence weather effects, "customisation" (body kits tab in GT Auto?) and Race Mods...
By the way, I hadn't noticed the extent of the similarity / differences with the premium / standard / GT4 shots, as evidenced above - but then I only watched it in motion. Once again I'll state that, for me, standards oughtn't be too jarring when racing. Replays might be a different story, and photo-mode almost certainly will. But I've accepted that, and I also don't care too much for cockpit view (unless it's improved from GT5).

Compared to GT4, it sounds brilliant. So much more agressive. If all of the sounds have been improved that much, that's pretty darn good 👍The standard motul civic did sound good also.

Yeah, I'd love to hear a comparison between Vipers and maybe a Skyline (preferably the Mine's) from GT4 and 5No doubt man makes me want to hear a super car now! 👍
