I just copy/pasted the list into a text file then opened the text file in Excel, tell it to import delimited and specify space and ".". Then you can sort them alphabetically by the S or P tag column... but the results dont look as pretty so I'll let someone else who has more time to burn do it neater ;)

Well, here's the premium-only list:

I haven't taken a close look at it yet, as I'm just home from work.
Btw.: That's exactly 220 premium cars, assuming that the list is indeed complete and without flaws.

Oh, yeah, does anybody know what the 'RM' on some cars means?

haha... I went ahead and did it anyway, and I knew someone would beat me to it.

Here's mine, btw.

The car list on GTplanet is incorrect, if you look on the site of PD you will see that the F40 and supra Turbo a are listed as Premium

Sounds reasonable... So, basically, if you race mod a C6, you will get the C6 RM?

I wonder what this would look like then?

P Dodge Challenger R/T RM ‘70

edit: I found it.

...It seems only 18 cars are race modify-able...
In that case, I hope we're wrong about what RM means.

Touting race modifications, and having only 18 out of over 1000 cars take advantage of it; I think we can all agree that's pretty slimey.

Maybe RM simply indicates a factory race livery or something like that?

I'm new to this site (really glad I found it!! btw). And I'm really confused by the complaining regarding Premium v. Standard cars. 220 Premium cars is still insane!! I can't wait to play this thing.

And it's not like the Standard cars are going to suck. The Premium cars are just going to be beyond amazing. Kaz is a perfectionist and he doesn't want to disappoint the fans. This complaining is probably a contributor to the many delays that have been so frustrating to all of us. Can't we all just be happy it's finally coming and we can finally tap out the capabilities of our PS3's?

If we're right about this, I dare say that your comment is too generous.

Well, if I typed out what I actually think about this issue, I'd probably get insta-banned.

And it's not like the Standard cars are going to suck.
None of the standard (only) cars can be race modded, they don't have cockpit view, the wheels can't be changed - what else does it take to make the standard cars suck?

Fair enough ;)

All I know is, if those 800+ Standard cars end up being completely unmoddable (No engine, suspension, weight, NOTHING), no matter how amazing the Lamborghini logo looks on the center caps of the Miura, the game will still be EPICALLY flawed in my eyes.

I really, really hope that I'm wrong about my earlier assumption...

Oh, yeah, does anybody know what the 'RM' on some cars means?

It looks like Racing Mod. My count was a whopping 20... so much for the glorious return of one of my favourite classic GT features. There's still the bodykit option in GT Auto, but considering how few R Mods there are... I'm not expecting much past GT4's wing options.

Yep, I'm disappointed with the list. I have the funny feeling the P/S cars means we'll have two versions, meaning the car list is actually slightly bigger than listed. I hope that's not the case though; why bring us the decontented Enzo in a Standard form?

There's very, very few surprises, and most of them aren't the good kind. I did find two new cars though that should be noted: Mazda Axela 23S '03 is the first-gen Mazda3 (finally!), and even more strangely, the Jaguar XFR '10. Both are Standards... I thought cars that were new to the series would all be Premiums? The Axela I imagine could've been modeled a long time ago, so that's one thing, but the Jag is new.

Oh, and GT3's hidden Diablo is back. There's 3 Standards I'll want to at least try. Still... the amount of padding is hugely, hugely disappointing. And even with Premiums, it's starting; Swift Sport '05 and '07? They're the same car!

:indiff:

So, well, that would indeed mean less than 20 cars to be race modified.
I dare say that this is horribly disappointing.
RM does mean race modifications, but I am guessing that the ones listed, you can buy already race modified, but you should still be able to perform race modifications to other cars, not all, but others. GT2 was that way. You could buy one from the dealership already modified, or you could take your stock car and modify it also, not all, but most.

I'm hoping this to be the case as well 👍

I just can't help but be mystified at the oversight of some of the most iconic cars in car culture.

The MKIV Supra, arguably one of the greatest, and most iconic tuner cars of all time is a Standard? The Veyron (And I am NOT a Veyron fanboy, I'm just giving credit where it is due), quite possibly one of the greatest technological feats in automotive history is also a Standard?

I'm a VW guy and the Kubelwagen, the stupid, useless, pointless, and ridiculous (If I left any out, please feel free to amend my rant) Kubelwagen is Premium? I'd have another example, but really, I see the Kubelwagen as a Premium and my brain just comes to a screeching halt.

It just makes no sense.

I wholeheartedly hope you are indeed right. I kinda have a bad feeling about it.

So far, I expected the worst with everything considering GT5 (except the release date), and appearently, I was right to do so... I can see it coming true again.

Some of cars on the list with RM next to them were cars in GT5P that you bought from The Concept GT Dealership or whatever it was called. They had wings on the front and back, were lighter, more powerful, etc.

I think you are correct, but it could be a mistake like the F40, and also probably at least 1 late 90's Supra will be Premium. I also still think the Bugatti is Premium because of the detail and individual modeled body panels in the pictures that surfaced a long time ago.

Forget your Veyrons, at least you can sit on the roof and drive one.

Where's my Reventon, ,konegssegg, ariel atom and what about Morgan.

Where's the GT6 general discussion thread?

I wan't to ask Kaz personally what he was on when he decided we needed a premium suzuki swift and ferrari SP (****d up f430) and not the MK4 supra and AE86. He killed all my takumi dreams in one hit!

The lack of the two greatest Toyotas ever (imho) really sucks. I LOVE the AE86. But, well, I really don't expect to be able to do anything to the standard cars in terms of body modifications. Might as well ignore one of my favourite tuner cars ever, then... A stock looking Hachiroku really isn't what I was hoping for. Oh well...

Hmmm... doubt it. My reasoning: We've already seen into the Acura dealership and it had a lone car in it. The list tells me the NSX can be RM'ed... but it wasn't in dealers. Plus, GT2's already-modded cars were always labeled as "LM"... slightly different, sort of like how we now have the IS-F RM and IS-F Touring Car Concept (which I'm very curious about).

The '91 NSX being RM-able but not the Type-R is a very odd choice too. I'm really leaning towards there being about 20 RM-able cars in the game. Oof.

7 Suzuki premiums and all old? wow this blows...

Not just that, but even Premiums are being used for PD's padding purposes; Swift '05 and '07? Really?
