Anyways, something really funny happened months ago when we first started getting info about these cars: We discussed all of this already. Feel free to go through and actually read this thread before you start coming up with "explanations" and acting like we are stupid for not thinking of them when those ideas have in fact been absolutely beat to death months ago.

The "well, they could have made that movie long before they showed it" cop out has absolutely no logical basis ("hey team, let's intentionally make the game look bad by using incredibly out of date in-game footage!"), and even if it did it wouldn't matter when they made the trailer because of how we know the Standard Cars were made. 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, no matter what year it was made the Standard cars would still be ported GT4 assets using slightly better base textures.

Czech Republic is already playing it,we have seen it,track list and car list confirms it,so in November 24 there will be a lot of disappointed faces.

No you're counting what is EXCLUDED.

We have 27 tracks not including variations of any kind. That's a big number. Just because it doesn't include every track from GT4, so what? You're counting something that ISN'T there, instead of something that IS. 200 cars is still a HUGE number! How many racing games come with 200 cars in the first place? Especially cars of GT5's premium level of quality? Also, how many tracks in GT4 were race-able at night? Or had wet condition variations? One, two, maybe? Also what other game comes with both of those features combined on even ONE track? Answer me that eh? You people are so blinded by what YOU think the game should be, you're completely overlooking the leaps the game has made in the first place.

A series like GT is about evolution, you won't even have to wait for GT6 for the next development, DLC and patches will expand and improve GT5 up until GT6's release.

The biggest critics appear obsessed with car and track numbers and don't value features which actually improve realism.

That's not correct. Premiums will ahve 2 lights settings, high and low, while standards will only have the normal, high beams.

That's not correct. Premiums will ahve 2 lights settings, high and low, while standards will only have the normal, high beams.

Premium cars: Headlights with high beams and low beams
Standard cars: Standard lights only

From the official site it says standard lights so i guess that can mean anything.

In any case I sort of know how GT5 will turn out to be,so no I'm not worry about anything,I will not create more discussion,when you guys pick up the game and discover that all that have been said is true and that the super awesome game(that I was expecting but it turns out to be..... well GT5)is not that super you will find that this thread was right all the time,since the beginning and then a massive disconcert will be created, don't believe? look all over the forums,viral threads,deception over here and over there,seriously guys you should open your eyes a bit.

Water from other cars will hurt your visibility in other camera modes too. All that water flying from the tires can mess you up... Makes the next turn basically blind in some cases.

I'm seriously wondering if this active weather exists. I mean, surely for La Sarthe, it can't always be rainy or sunny, right?

The thought of watching the day progress, and dealing with weather going from dry to wet, does sound incredibly, incredibly awesome to me, if we get it. Even if rain has one "setting", the epicness of dealing with that will be fun for me. There you go, positive comment of the day .

I also do have a (admittedly) small list of Standards I'm going to be hunting down off the bat.

Voice of reason? Address the questions I raise in my post then! You claim to be the voice of reason when all you do is complain! Complaining about what is bad is not REASON. Seeing the circumstance from ALL directions instead of JUST YOUR OWN, is reason. Which is what I have done. Answer my questions, if you can. I really don't care what you say you sound like GT5 beat you up when you where a small kid man, Its a game no game is perfect. I played the GT5 demo which was limited to the max and it did not matter. I was asking the guy if i could take the PS3 home and bring it back in the morning. The physics alone will keep you hooked. I played for 2 hours. I just don't understand your huge disappointment with a game you haven't played, and you proudly say it going to be a bust.

From what we have seen, no it won't. It affects the windshield in cockpit view but in others all you will see is rooster tails, I think. Not much of a comparison.

The deal with that guy was he was giving Toronado a hard time for not being positive and said he only came here to talk about positive things and not complain about negative things.

So I pointed out this forum is not positive only anywhere in the rules, so if that's what he is looking for, he should go somewhere where that is actually a specification of the forum rather than be unhappy members are acting a way he doesn't like.

I am buying the game actually! Well I guess I could still cancel, but probably not.

What I said was I wouldn't buy the game new at launch unless I got a sale down to around $40 or found it used very quickly... turns out Amazon gave me a $5 GC vide game concession for a problem with a previous order, then offered the game for $54.99 with free release day shipping and a $10 fugure game GC (which is already accounted for on an xmas present I am getting for someone else) effectively making the game $40 out the door for me.... then this whole ball of wax drops with the tracks and what not... so still might cancel, but at $40 what's a guy (who's not really itching to play MW) to do?
