Well, I've been looking again at the carlist. It's such a shame to see that the Audi R8 Racecar the Bentley Speed eight
are standard cars and cars as: Suzuki Cervo and Mazda Autozam AZ-1 are premiums. But still, the carlist is huge and I'm sure I will have fun with other cars like the Audi RS6 Avant, C63 AMG, Zonda R, etc. etc.

I'm sure it will be an awesome game, even without the Bentley and Bugatti to be premium..

I actually reckon race cars are boring to be premiums (a LOT of the premiums are race cars actually, which I have zero interest to drive with) whereas standard street cars are interesting to modify and tweak. AZ-1 being a premium is a great thing!

And to people whining about too many Skylines.. there are actually more premium Corvettes than Skylines. Give that some thought.

I think I have read somewhere that PD has spend 2 months creating the "premium" SLS AMG. But the only thing I think is weird is the fact that a car such as a Bugatti Veyron is standard and a car as a Suzuki Cervo is premium. You know what I mean?

Oh for sure Bugatti is mind boggling for a standard car,its probably gonna be some special edition dlc for that $5.00. I think it's ported from GT PSP because it's in there.
The fact that there's no cockpit view for standard cars
is crazy because that just defeated the point of GT for me
but I will easily move on.

But c'mon... someone tell me, honestly, that that Range Stormer damage looks anything other than juvenile. Go on, I'll wait for images of melty-looking front ends in real life too

After looking at the Range Stormer's metling front bumper, it starts to look more and more like a sad face to me. Almost as if the car is... Crying?
Probably about being a standard :sly:

Watch it :scared:

Having a pop at the AZ-1 is a banning offense in my book, I love that little thing.

Meanwhile the Cobra 427 can't believe it's luck at getting the premium makeover:

You know how hard it was to not make a clichéd Impact-font'd image macro along those lines?!

Not gonna lie, excited about the AZ-1 and Cappa going head to head too. With the extent of bodykits on Premiums not yet known fully... I'm curious if I'll be able to remake my old A-Spec from GT2...

No, you were not:

Everything in that sentence is in response to, and in relation to, the deformation shown in the second image. Besides, I don't see what's so great about the general Land Rover model either. The front-end looks awful, and the wheels are not much better.

I'm not saying this to be awkward, I'm just not going to say something is great, when it isn't, just because it's a franchise I like and have been waiting over 5 years for.

Excuse, English is not my native language, so I still having some problems with grammar (like that thing than always be specific with the subject in the sentence).

En fin, no mas peleas, cada quien que piense lo que quiera, yo mientas tanto disfrutaré manejando mi Seat Ibiza Cupra sin importarme que sea Standard ;)

Something where it says "kill me"? ;)

Love the Premium Autozam AZ-1 too by the way, what's not to like about it?
Always appeared to me like a pocket-sized Group C machine.:D

Okay, this interior may not be fully, ahem, standard (no pun intended, seriously) but it gives an impression.:)

Sorry this is kind of off-topic, but does anyone know where I can find a collection of these x-ray type pictures? I've found a few but I wondered if there was a set all done by the same artist anywhere, so that the style matches from picture to picture. I wanna blog it :D

Well the artist who did that one has its name signed below (which you probably already noticed), not sure where to find more (of different cars I assume), this one I just found coincidentally using Google.:)

I'd say the Range Stormer in the Nurb picture looks like a GT image photoshopped onto a real picture of the Nord, the difference in rendering is that obvious.

I suspect that "development" in this case doesn't have anything to do with modeling. Rather, it's partnering with car makers to capture as much of the essence of their cars as possible, gathering crash test data, and other things. If it was modeling help, I sincerely doubt we'd have only 130 some odd more Premiums than in Prologue.
Of course you would think that.
And you did what? The math? Or hop, skip and jump to a conclusion? ;)

  • (1) ...Though we'll have to agree to disagree since I've never had the feeling of being in the middle of the "filthy, rowdy world of motorsports" in any previous GT, Prologue included. On track the game always feels sterile to me.
  • (2) ...Yeah, PC sims tend to have a narrower focus; but the trade-off is a much more intense focus on the cars they do include. Not GT's sometimes inconsistent work: obsessive details on certain cars, others... less so.
  • (3) ...I'll agree all games pad; but none more so than GT. GT5 being the worst example of it.
I guess this is a case of different strokes.

1. PC sims seem the epitome of sterility. Frozen backgrounds during set up with the sounds of mechanics dropping tools every few seconds? Eh. Lousy graphics for the most part. Blah bots. Pretty good selection of tracks, usually, but very few cars. Dreadfully boring presentation.

2. I'm not feeling much intensity with any PC sim in any form or fashion, except difficulty on occasion.

3. Even if you take away every Skyline, Subie and Mistu, Gran Turismo 2, 4 and 5 have more cars than any game I'm aware of, save for the new Forza. And GT1 and 3 did. Color me fannish, but I love this kind of padding. ;)

Anyhow, I'm feeling giddy - and well fed now, and don't really want to argue very much. GT5 is coming, and if people can't find some love for such an excellent game, let them eat Forza. I'll be too busy winding my way down a track to really notice.

Speaking of those yahoos, when I get some disposable time out, I need to call M$ customer service and give them flaming grief for updating my debit card info without my permission, and charging me $60 for a year of flocking worthless Live. Now they're not just a money grubbing monopoly, but a thieving one as well! :grumpy:

I thought the damage was supposed to include scratches yet in none of the new shots or vids have I seen anything resembling a scratch. Am I missing something?

So, after months trying to convince standard haters, that we don't have enough, and we need to wait til later before making final assumptions ,now we've got enough to make a final assumption ,and standard cars look spectacular. Never mind the wheels thing, they look almost as good as premiums on the outside.

well as far as we have seen, some standards look better then others.
