Yes hopefully that will hold. :nervous:

* rushes to get laundry done, and pre-prep dinner menu items *

(I am the appointed chef of the household, and 10pm GMT = dinner preparation time here in Pennsylvania at the melon household. ;) It would help, of course, if I was actually a better cook, but I am clumsy & slow. :guilty: :ouch: Much like my driving in races!)

Well done everyone, some really cool racing there. Apart from 2 bad mistakes from me in London, which I punished myself for. Sorry, Cjr, for the shoving about! :ill:

And I ruined my 2nd race by spinning while in the lead...
Great wins for Sparkz and Watermelon. Indeed, Watermelon, you love the Elan!
Nice 1st races Perdy, and super clean. You're in for as long as you fancy racing with us.

And sorry for all the lag and ghosts. Just blame Will!

I hope as many as possible can join us next week.

Great races everyone that Lotus Elan is fun to drive :D

Thanks Warrius! My first GT6 League race as well so got the monkey off my back. It was some of the most entertaining racing I've had in ages, thanks for the great battles!

London was learning that car more and more every lap. Great last race at Willow. I knew Sparkz would catch up at some point and he was so much better through the banked right hander than me! Definitely my favourite race of the evening but great choices all round.

Cheers again

@Sparkz_360 I put one wheel too many on the grass.... I was not impressed with myself.
Didn't think the car would kick out like that the car is fairly easy counter steer without it smacking into a wall, also a fun car to drive tbh especially around London, Autumn ring mini was fun close racing, willow springs not a fan of that track but surprised i won great race guys :D

This is a great league, I'm really enjoying it.

Didn't realize there were still nine cars on the grid today though. Too bad about the connectivity. Just when I thought I had a 3rd place finish at Willow Springs!

For the network issues, I hope everyone has been making sure their connection was top notch.
For some, that means rebooting their router more often than the others, and for all, that means clearing the cache before joining the lobby.
I also hope everyone's machine is connected via ethernet, not wirelessly, as it makes a huge difference.

That's a fair point. I use High quality, with visual damage and low quality voice, so there's room for improvement on my side.
I find using the mikes very useful, tho, as well as added fun and banter... Useful for the grid formation, that is.

Easiest would be if the online lobbies would actually work right...no idea what kind of programming mistakes could actually cause people to not see each other on track but in lobbies.

Going off topic slightly...
Am I the only one for whom Gtplanet (both News and forum) is sometimes unresponsive? Every now and then, I get a 'Lost connection' error (several tabs at the same time, then all work again).

Hey great races yesterday everybody!

Sorry I meant to say something sooner, and get some photomodes together... but as soon as I got done watching the replay before dinner, I got bad news, and got upset, so went to bed early.

I'll try to get the photomodes uploaded a bit later.

I apologize for the hard contact at turn 1 toward the end of the race at london. My error was that I was too greedy for the draft of @WarriusZero and too focused on following him, that I failed to take a defensive inside line on the straight, allowing an opening for @perdy450 to take the inside line, and he had substantial overlap on the inside before the turn-in point, so I had to leave room for him, so then when I started braking far too late (probably because of the draft), I had nowhere to go. I braked as hard as I could, hoping - and there was no hope - I left myself with zero options but hitting zero!! :ouch: Worse, I was so startled by the accident that I failed to mitigate the damage and hit twice. :boggled: rolleyes: *shakes head in shame*
Leave it to me to hit the host multiple times!! :ouch: You know, because hitting the race director once just isn't humiliating enough for me! :guilty:

I can't believe I actually won the race at Autumn Ring Mini. :)
I do like that track... but that doesn't mean I thought i could win a race there!
Very surprised, considering several drivers in the race I would consider to be very fast drivers, and certainly usually faster than me! I had a lot of good luck there I believe!

Thanks @Third Reign!

@watermelonpunch that was funny more than anything else!
I saw you coming in fast in my mirrors and thought 'Oh oh...', then had a good laugh with the 2nd shunt.
I was already in the wall so it didn't make much difference. I might be able to take you to court for a whiplash injury, though.

I don't know about you but my problem when I lost it twice in this very corner was that the 'distance mark signs' (how do you call them??) were being hidden behind the drivers names shown on top of the cars in front of me.

 Sorry about the whiplash.
I can only think that after I hit, I was startled & confused, and lifted off the brakes.
(That's happened to me a few times when I accidentally rear-end someone. It's like I'm so shocked and embarrassed that I make things worse!)

I struggled with t1 @ London, lap after lap.
And you're right, the markers are hidden by the driver names! I noticed that too!
But I had problems even when I could see the markers.
I just couldn't manage to find a way good way around that turn. I either went to slow, too fast, too wide, too tight... or then bonk! :ouch:

Willow was pretty exciting in the back too because that spoon turn was tricky for me. Too slow, too wide, or too fast...
The chicane type Ss at the end of the track (the blind bus stop) were pretty tricky too. You could go through them in the Elan without braking, but then needed to be very careful to brake in time for the hard left-hander. :scared:
I was the guilty party that knocked out lots of the cones. :odd: At one point, I felt like the car thought it was in the Coffee Break cones missions in career mode. Actually I think I did better knocking down cones yesterday at Willow, than I did in those cone missions.

Great nights racing. Really enjoyed the combo's and the close battles. I didnt fare as well at Willow as I did London and Autumn ring, but I think that was down to lack of experience at that track. Had a superb battle at Autumn ring with Cobrius and Sparks, at one point running in second place, trying to catch Melon. It was a shame about the connection issues regarding certain drivers being invisible to others. For Sunday Cup, I have my race quality set to standard, mic audio set to low, and visible damage off. I also request that all racers reboot PS3's and clear their cache before entering the lobby.

Unfortunately, 8.00pm is the earliest I can join, as Mrs 3210 works in the evening until 7.00pm, which leaves me as the house cook, so if its any earlier, I will have to miss the first race.

One last thing, and sorry for the shameless plug Warrius, but if anyone wants some more fun in the Elan, we will be using a tuned version for the first 2 Sunday Cup races. Only a few places left though. Find out more HERE.

Hehe, both Cobani and cjr can make their Elan fly on Willow Springs.

That's funny stuff. Too bad though. I cleared my cache too. I'll try to set up a wired connection per Warrius's recommendation.

Yeah in case anyone's wondering, I have comcast cable internet, a low ping, the game says my connection is "very high", and my ps3 hard wired to the router/modem device with a 4 foot cat6 cable.
I don't usually have problems of course. But yesterday I had no problems not seeing other cars.
Very frustrating when it happens - sometimes rejoining hte room fixes it for people tho.

I've been hearing a lot of people say that "race quality" lower helps with these things.
I also myself use "visible damage off" as I've heard that could help... but mosty I heard that in GT5 -when mixing standard & premium cars together.
